I am just starting to do it but I brush with the coconut oil and turmeric and let it sit on my teeth for five minutes then I rinse then I do a teaspoon of coconut oil and swish for the 15 minutes this is day one. I actually noticed my teeth are whiter and brighter and def breath is way better. I should have took a before pic and after but forgot will have to document for myself and see. I like how Dr Ellie responded to you in a diplomatic way and with complete honesty. Three folks below commented in a way I agree with with in these three points. 1) You did not explain your $500 comments and you spun it in a way that I felt was clearly misinformed or dishonest. 2) She does mention her research into studies and her videos are backed by studies. Of course one can always find some study to conflict and create confusion. But I would say her clinical results and those of many of her colleagues is substantial! 3) You made two other misleading comments which are addressed below by other folks who have paid for her $50 system of teaching which is well worth it!! I would hope you would consider editing your video of these three mis-information topics. With sincerity I say this.

Why not try an experiment in which you devolve Xylitol into some warm oil and do a combination pulling. Better yet, if you can find an electrolyte powder that does not use a form of sugar as a binding agent (the one I am aware of is DrBerg - not affiliated) dissolve this in the warm oil as well, which helps remineralize and strengthen the teeth.

I am going to be 80 in a few weeks and I have had Aphantasia all of my life and found out about it 6 years ago. Since I have traveled the World and created and run two companies, I have found Aphantasia as no problem and I have also had Dyslexia all my life. When I close my eyes I see nothing, never have and never will. I do not remember names. I feel no fear and will immediately respond to any situation that would normally cause fear. My schooling/college background is law, psychology, computer science (Silicon Valley) and Finance. I found a way to control the Dyslexia prior to entering college, but I find it is again a problem with aging and when I am tired. I have never daydreamed in my whole life and I see people only as I first saw them no matter how long I have known them. My past is all in picture form. I have had a great life and have no complaints. At the age of 68 I retired and went off to live in a foreign country I had never visited and did not speak the language. Been in South America 13 years now and could not be happier. Life is an adventure. Make the most of the cards you have been dealt.

Well said, everything has its pros and cons and you need to lean into the pros of the cards you are dealt. Thank you for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it!

I haven't had my coconut oil ever go rancid. However I have had olive oil go rancid before (what I was using for cooking). I think if you store it like you do with care then it should last for atleast its normal lifespan (3 years according to Google). With yours that doesn't have a date, one can probably look for a change in taste with rancid oil being more pungent/sour/bitter/funky. Glad you like the content and yea, the tongue scraper is a mouth savior :D

Then 1 month, then reflect some more. Then after that think of doing it for 3 years not because of it being a goal but because you can feel and experience the benefits it gives you and wouldn't consider going through your days without it! As for shortness of breath, I do think I know one reason as to why it might happen. When you are oil pulling, you are only breathing with your nose. Many of us are not used to that and that restriction of air flow will lead to a lightheaded-ness. So just slow down and try to take deeper nose breaths. Oil pulling needs 15min of swishing around in your mouth for it to do its thing. Xylitol needs to be used after meals because that is when it feeds the bacteria (in the early growth phase) to make it less sticky. The quickest way to learn to type is to be a programmer. By necessity you will need to learn to type relatively fast. I don't hit 100 WPM but I'm fast enough to be proficient. I never meet limitations when I write day-to-day scripts for work. Unless you are a secretary, fast typing isn't practical. As a writer, most people also do not need to type quickly. Good writing should have form, intention, and purpose (even stream of consciousness). Curious to see what you write about on a day to day basis now. I've become rather fond of you, haha.

    • @MasterEverydayLiving
      @MasterEverydayLiving 6 днів тому

Taking it one step further, just getting a job in any field that forces you to type will be a "quick" way to learn typing! Same as you, I just never have encountered a typing situation in my life where I have thought to myself "I wish I could type X WPM faster", it usually is those other aspects that you mention (form, intention and purpose) that are the things we worry about in those moments. Haha glad that my content resonates with ya! I usually start off by typing a summary of my day (when I type at the end of the day) or a generic checklist of "what I need to do make this day a good one" at the beginning of the day. That often times leads to me going deeper into specific thoughts. Another big chunk of my writing is to extract segments that I find relevant for UA-cam videos and write an outline of my thoughts for said video. So this video has a note on it with over 2000 words in it. I don't really follow it word for word when I do the recordings but it is a great way to organize my thoughts and get to a state where I feel ready to hit that record button.

It's so much cheaper. I put a little bit in my mouth after drinking or eating. After a meal, I use water flosser followed by baking soda in water solution mouth rinse to make my mouth alkaline and kill bad bacteria. After I spit out the baking soda solution, I place Xylitol crystals in my mouth. Set the timer for one hour. Then brush my teeth. After brushing my teeth I place a little bit of Xylitol crystals in my mouth again. I have no more bad breath and my teeth are not sensitive anymore. I improvise and it works for me because I have learnt a lot from Dr Ellis.

I've been having anxiety over my oral hygiene and gum recession. This video is definitely informative and I've learned a lot. It helped me calm down and have a positive outlook that there's still a cheaper solution for such issues since dental services ain't cheap. I'll definitely try it.

I'm glad that the video inspired you to take on and tackle your own oral hygiene! At this moment 4 years after I began down this rabbit hole, I feel like I have "solved" oral hygiene, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. I hope you can get to that point too with your own journey. I have made a lot of different oral hygiene videos over the years but if I could recommend a starting point for you, I highly recommend my 4 part series that I recently posted that summarizes key concepts, what works, what doesn't work and my current routine. Oil pulling has been one part of the solution for me (and I still do it daily) but there are so many other elements that I never even considered 4 years ago that now makes a lot of sense. The first video on key concepts is this one over here: ua-cam.com/video/6VJpaSDJK48/v-deo.html Good luck with your own oral health journey. Cheers!

Do you brush twice a day? What toothpaste do you use?

I brush only once at night. In the morning, I oil pull with a sprinkle of Erythritol. No specific toothpaste, currently I am using Sensodyne. I talk about my specific routine in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/4ADF8Y9hRe4/v-deo.html

I have done the Ellie Phillips complete care system. My teeth are now so sensitive after 7 months of doing her complete care system. I’m devastated. I can’t even brush now and I don’t know what to do

There might be one culprit within her system that might not work for you so perhaps trying to isolate the products within the system and find the problematic one. So perhaps just start off using Xylitol, then after a week or so if sensitivity is down, add another part of the system to your weekly routine and so on until you find the issue. Make sure to not throw out the baby with the bathwater. Good luck with finding the source of your sensitivity!

Pretty sure that is editing doing its thing. I added a de-flicker effect as I was getting some intense flickering lines with this night footage so its probably from that. Nice catch thou and a really funky side-effect of the edit lol

@@MasterEverydayLiving It seems like the camera or editing capture the background behind him like it's a see-through. This effect probably explain all those supposedly real ghost videos.

Sir, your conclusions are incomplete. I have been using her system (all free information) for about a year….and she hasn’t received one penny of profit from my product purchases. As far as I can tell she gives full disclosure for free. So regarding your conclusions, I have to ask: “COMPARED TO WHAT”? The dental profession wouldn’t be what it is if there were not enough people with oral health problems….the percentage of population doesn’t matter. Only people with problems are looking for answers….and obviously there are plenty….even enough to make it worthwhile for UA-cam channel review videos. What does that tell you about the effectiveness of the information the industry provides for free? ALL kids getting cavities (I was one) and their parents need this information. The free information offered by the industry guidelines is not working for many and clearly has not worked for decades. They have taught us this same information since (1950s?) grammar school and continue to do so. It is not from sugar. The bottom line of her message is that THESE PROBLEMS ARE MOSTLY THE RESULTS OF INADEQUATE ABATEMENT OF BACTERIAL INFECTION. The industry refuses to offer information to the public that effectively addresses this. Do you think the industry does not know this is the real issue? When did any other dentist enlighten you to a potential system that could possibly eliminate or drastically reduce the need to see oral health specialists? This is a system that worked for her and her mother. It’s working for hundred or thousands of others. She’s more than qualified to share the results, method and products. She’s been doing so for decades and challenging the status quo. Don’t you question why there’s no embrace from the industry or at least an interest in testing it? Hopefully that day will come, but some of us need to take action now to at least try it. I have not seen miracles from following her system. But the sensitivity and gum bleeding has improved immensely. I wish I found her information ten years ago. I wish this was taught when I was in grammar school along with the brushing and flossing. I brushed and flossed religiously, but problems still manifested as I got older. The worst problems were from the teeth with fillings.

I have been doing Xylitol pulling for a month! I had multiple RCT in past 2 decades. I realised it's due to acid producing bacteria which have fully colonized my mouth few decades back. Simply brushing & flossing didn't help!

For me, oil pulling is a solution for teeth sensitivity. I also have cavities from when I was younger, and when the tooth fillings (mercury amalgam) fell out partially, I decided not to re-fill them for heavy metal toxicity reasons and cost. Since I did oil pulling, my tooth sensitivity has been taken care of, and my cavity issues have reduced. I use a tablespoon full of oil, but I don't get to do it every day due to the time it takes, so I do it mostly when I have time and on weekends.

There is a certain quaint introvertedness about Japan that seems so appealing to me. It seems that there is a lot less small talk and I've heard that Japanese dialogue focuses on some degree of empathy, as there is a tendency to present an incomplete thought only for the other person to complete it! Will need to visit one day when I have less bills to pay!
