Hey, I gave you a shoutout in my show notes because of your collection! And I name-checked you on radio in Indianapolis yesterday. :)
@@soccerrewind2024 A friend just mailed 27 VHS tapes containing more than 40 Sockers games dating back to the 1984 season. I'll be posting more in the future.
@ Sweet. We should collaborate on something at some point.
What a "Truth is Stranger than Fiction Story"...WOW-Thank you Kenn and Bob!
Love the show, this is such a great format.
Thank you, Jeff! Tell a friend - we need more eyeballs!
Fantastic! Born in 73, I loved this one! Thank you Kenn and Steve!
Wonderful, thank you Sal, Tony and Kenn!
Absolutely Awesome!! This was fantastic
@@Jcole000123 thank you. Tell a friend. :)
the only team before the atoms that kinda deployed a team america were the st. louis stars.
And Steve references that in the long form video. The Stars made the final in 1972 with five guys from St. Louis and two other naturalized guys (and didn’t win). But you’re right, and thank you for commenting!
@@soccerrewind2024 steve knows his soccer. i was into the nasl back then.
I'll say this: Gene Hart shows what a fantastic play-by-play announcer he was. He was also the long-time voice of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. He's great here! Total pro!
Any chance you could show the 1972 NASL Championship match between the New York Cosmos and the St. Louis Stars? I know the outcome already, but would love to see the Stars in action!
Sorry, that game was not televised (as referenced in this video).
Well done Kenn (and Steve)! ⚽
Thank you!
FLL Striker’s games?
@@AriesnCanada Actually, I have already recorded one that features a Strikers game but you would not like the outcome. (But I am sure there will be more Strikers eventually.)
@ thank you. I used to get field passes at Lockhart Stadium and shoot pictures for the soccer publication I wrote for when I was in college.
