Nothing wrong with riding in the rain during the day in residential areas, I’ve had to ride on the highway in the rain and I would tell people not to ride in the rain on the highway if you don’t have to.
My neighbors are in some biker club here in Northern Nevada in the middle of winter. I would hear these dudes come home on their bikes at like 3 am... it's like 10F° out I'm like wtf

What about salvage Title? i think this also drop market price if you want to resale
Clean title . Crash was never reported to Insurance. And it can hurt resale depending on how good the rebuild is. Be no different if a dealership fixed a biked; there is always risk in any kind of repairs.
