Hi pal how are you doing 😊
Enjoyed this. Many feel the same.
We need the two Pedro's (Pedro's movie cavern) on a stream together!
Geoengineering is REAL 👍

Looking good Brother #Nohomo or the more modern no diddy😂
2nd 😂
100% mate all this controlling people through BS laws and corporate shills can kiss my ass. That's why i started buying VHS again because there are films that never got a release on disc and also get altered. However i dont get new releases on VHS at all. Streaming can do one physical media is the way
@nerdygeezer78 Even some of the Only Fools And Horses episodes on dvd have been altered and that was nigh on twenty years ago. Cheers for watching mate 💪
Awesome set got mine today lov it
This is a great movie!
Wish you done this yesterday. Summerslam was good yesterday
Great idea for a channel. Subbed 👊🏿
Im just nodding along mate. Top job mate this was awesome
@nerdygeezer78 Thanks Lee mate 🫡
What happened to your recent video (walking in field with your dog)? I was about to post a comment but the whole video disappeared!
I deleted the bloody thing by mistake on the stream yard. I will attempt something similar again. I thought it was an alright rant 😆 🤣 n all what a waste
In terms of films I will hold in the highest contempt anything with the word reboot/revision/reimagining or an extension of a franchise that was last seen 20 plus years ago. The lack of originality in cinema has really made the idea of sitting down to watch a film very much a matter of choice rather than a necessity. This from someone who back in their teens went to the cinema every week. I find it with games and TV shows too - particularly the latter which are usually crammed with the obvious and lazy tropes. Do I hate everything from back then which I cherish ? No I embrace a lot of it still, but I find myself turning further and further away from modern stuff (not all though, there has been some exceptions). This might answer your question, it might not 😂👍🐻
@TheRetroBear Great response Russ. I appreciate what you're saying and I think you've hit the nail on the head for why many people go back to the franchises etc of the things they enjoyed in the past as it wad objectively better. Thanks again mate.
Can't remember the last blockbuster I really enjoyed, suffered the new ghostbusters last week. I new it was going to be cack, it was 💩. Regarding re-watching films, I do, but not regularly, depends on my mood.
@davidretrogamesplayedbadly3533 You're a braver man than me, Dave. I couldn't see any humour in the new Ghostbusters trailer, so I haven't bothered with it. The first two had genuinely comic moments. There's a few I've watched more than once 😆 🤣 At the minute I'm rewatching some later Clint Eastwood films like Perfect World and in the line of fire amongst others which I haven't seen for ma years years (recommended btw). Cheers Dave
Haha, I must admit when you said not humans that’s a shame, I could think of one person in particular at the min 😂
@Retro_B8 I don't blame ya bruv
Interesting what you said about consumption of films vs music. I'm the same; I'll happily watch the whole spectrum of cinema, including "background noise" kind of films like romcoms, or anything really. But with music I'm far more particular, and won't ever put anything on I don't absolutely love. No background noise when it comes to music, to the point where I haven't listened to the radio in over 20 years (since my early 20s, and even then it was Classic FM). Spotify is really good for finding new music though, as when you discover a track you like in a film or something, you can dive into that artist's catalogue, and similar stuff via the algorithm. That's how I discovered that Hypnotic Brass Ensemble I sent you recently.
@onaretrotip The only radio station I listen to is Classic FM and that's between cds in the car and in the kitchen. Your absolutely right about having to hear amazing music, I simply can't listen to anything else these days, infact I struggle with anything that isn't jazz (in all its guises) right now😆😀.
@onaretrotip I have been using amazon music (free trial) for a few months and have discovered some brilliant acts, although I do think Spotify is better, I can see the appeal again of these platforms as trying before you buy. Cheers Pete
It’s not getting any better that’s for sure! I like the sound of some of those Japanese films yum mentioned. There are still a lot of good unexplored films from Asia.
@shain6946 They're very good on the whole, and some decent stuff coming out of Europe once in a while which I forgot to mention.
I was waiting for the chopsticks to come out bruv, to catch that fly hahah
@@SEGAZombie 😆 like Miagge himself
Also to answer the question in the vid i occasionally grow to hate some of the old shite i was into, off the top of my head some indie dickheads i was into in my teenage years, for the most part however i'm pretty lucky and i can listen to certain old shit very occasionally for a bit of nostalgia. Nu-metal takes me back to my 6th form days and getting into the world of work and going out on the piss. Can only put up with it in small doses but i dont hate it. I forced myself to try and get into a bit of that ska punk when i was a kid, goldfinger, reel big fish and all that bollocks, kidded myself i was into it for a while, before reverting back to hating it and still do... haha
@@TMWRPJAYMZ Indie dickheads 😆 like who?
Good vid. Think it's normal mate from your late 30's / early 40's. Your taste and priorities change. Been discussing today how i am running out of steam with certain old hobbies. I'm happiest by a country mile spending time outdoors. Fishing, camping, walking the dog. As far as films and music go there's very little modern stuff that grabs my attention so i'm looking for old stuff i've missed, whether it's 50's/60's/70's cinema, diving deeper into old school prog, or genres of music i've previously disregarded. Indoors i'm trying to read more widely and challenge myself. There's still a place for your old favourites and a bit of nostalgia of course but it's not predominant anymore. Always good to move forwards and above all else i rate experiences and challenges and quality time with the fam over 'things'. Get to 40 and it's obvious how precious your time is. Anyway i'm off to waste some of that precious time with a few beers 😂
There's only one style of ska worth listening to and that's the original Jamaican take on soul and pop. That skater ska is abysmal however there can be something said about the British / Caribbean hybrid ska from the late 70s, although its not really ska its something entirely different. P.s. Madness were far superior to the Special. Cheers James
Well you know my views on this mate. Great vid fella 👍
Cheers Lee 🍻
Love the sound of this one Pedro. Aside from Seven Samurai do you any recommendations for a complete newbie to Kurosawa’s films? Have a goodun. Cheers.
Thanks for watching Ed. Dreams is a masterpiece. Kurosawa has many superb films, but definitely watch Rasohomon next it's quite wonderful.

I'm going through the crime films now and will update on those Ed.
Thanks Pedro! I’ll check out Rasohomon 😊👍
I wonder if that scene in the snow has taken any influence from the dyatlov pass incident and all the lore around that
I've just had a look at that event mate, very interesting, he could well have drawn influence from that.
@@vhsbootleggers2253 yeah mate. Never been established what happened
Alan Clarke and Pasolini had balls of steel exposing the world in films like Salo, Scum, Made in Britain, Christine, and Elephant .
my local walmart has it in stock on bluray and dvd.
Really let down with this one. Very poor. I know it was crowdfunded but wow , the budget looked like it was shot for about 5k. Looked terrible too. Shot like a soap opera with obviously the cheapest cameras possible. Acting was atrocious too 😂😂
Love it the movie was really good
Another set to add to my ever growing list of wants You have sold this to me totally samurai with spaghetti westerns vibes sounds amazing
Oh mate this is superb buy it soonish if ya can scott it's limited press.
I just got my copy direct from 88 films, really excited to watch this one! I have the olive films release in dvd, it has a nice booklet and art work! looking forward to the other releases from 88 films/tigon! Great video! p.s I subbed to your channel
Cheers Mike i've subbed to you as well mate. I'll be having a butchers at the videos.
Thanks for the great review, I've ordered the steel box. I'm a stuntperformer from Denmark, doing HK styled Fightscenes. Would you be interested in watching my full contact fightscene & maybe reviewing it? ua-cam.com/video/oTvDB9hI-pM/v-deo.htmlsi=tCTLzI15w1NA_bLR
This trilogy sounds right up my street, added to my huge list of stuff i must watch. Cheers mate.
Cheers Dave its really, really good.
One of the most underrated revenge movie ever made. Great performance and good to see gun being made
That was a great scene
I thought it was bad. It did not really know what it wanted to be. They marketed it as a love letter to the 80s action movies but it felt more like a parody. One of the bad guys was named dracko clearly a spoof on drago from rocky 4.
The Chong Li guy is actually Chong Li JR Bolo Yueong Jr. in real life lol.
I wish he was in it more.
Wow a western with Christopher lee, I have got to watch this film
It's great mate you'll like for sure.
I really enjoyed this one. Especially the performances from Ernest Borgnine and Jack Elam.
Yep it's a good one for sure with decent performances throughout
I do like these for film inspiration. Do you think films like this may have birthed inspiration for the like of kill bill in the female lead revenge films
It's very likely mate, I think I've even heard Tarantino mention this before as being an influence.
I didn’t like the quarter dollar bald spot and the comb over, also the lead female character was hard to look at and hard to listen to because I don’t like that French accent.
Soft spot for dolph lungren, to be honest I love seeing any of the 80's action stars back on screen. Except for Steven segal 💩
Really, Segal is one of my favourites, Dave. I appreciate he isn't very well liked these days but I really like quite a few of his films. Definitely give this one a go it's was enjoyable.
I've never turned a film down due to a haircut 😂. Sounds right up my street, will hunt down a copy.
It's great fun Dave
Great to see the vhs booters back Pedro I’ve gone and purchased this film on your off the cuff review bruv I will let you know what I think hahaha
Wicked bruv, I'm glad you enjoyed it, mate.
Huge fan of Charles bronson, hard times is a personal favourite, not seen it for a long time, will have to chase a copy down.
It doesn't disappoint mate, it's a cracker.
I seen last night, great movies, amazing music from 80’s movies like bloodsport and kickboxer,i wish they could make part 2😉🫶🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really enjoyed it, did exactly what I wanted it to. I didn't clock him at first but Bolo Yeungs son is in it 😂 I loved the soundtrack and would buy the vinyl 👍🏻😂
Agree with all that you said, mate. Soundtrack was superb would also like a proper copy. Bolo's kid looked great in it. it's a shame he didn't feature more.
I wondered if that was bolo’s son. He has the same body type
I'm into 70's cinema at the minute and trying to watch as much as possible so i'll check this one out. Bloody boutique labels cost a few quid don't they but i do enjoy collecting them. I don't think i've seen any walter hill other than the warriors. Good review mate 👍
Hello James mate good to see ya here. The old boutique labels aren't cheap but do look out for the sales at HMV and other places online you can often get them half price at several times during the year, I usually have a splurge when that happens and try out things I wouldn't necessarily get upon initial release. Walter Hill has made some great flicks for sure. It's worth looking through his filmography. I bet there's more you've seen that you might realise.
@@vhsbootleggers2253 i'm always lurking pedro! Yeah mate i'll keep an eye out for the hmv sales. I'll look a bit deeper into walter hill. I'll watch some more then start doing some film pickups on the channel i think
@TMWRPJAYMZ Nice one mate ill definitely watch em
*Corrections: The films James Coburn and Charles Bronson appeared together are The Great Escape and The Magnificent Seven, NOT Escape from Alcatraz which stars neither. Also, Jill Ireland met Bronson on the set of The Great Escape (according to sources) Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see Do your own research.
Your undiluted honesty and opinions is what we love about you mate! Not everything's wrong with Hollywierd, just 99.99% of it 😂
👊 much appreciated bruv

Have you ever watched europa the last battle pedro mate?
It's fascinating, I've recommended it to many an open-minded tuber over the years. I have also read some very eye-opening supplementary books including, Culture of Critique, Myth and reality and Hitlers War amongst others.
