KNND Interview with EPUD General Manager Kyle Roadman
The communication you provided during the storm and the updates you have given of ongoing improvements is extremely appreciated Mr. Roadman. I can't imagine the long hours and cold, hard work the crews put in to restore our power last year. I am sure they still have nightmares over it! Thank you from this community member and keep up the great work EmeraldPUD!
Thank you Kyle, we are proud of you. I hope there is some way we can stop this moving forward, yes, we should have the right to vote! Have a good day and thanks again for your help!
EPUD, and specifically Kyle - THANK YOU for your communication, thank you for your work, and thank you for fighting for us. I am so disappointed Lane County didn’t bring this to a vote. But I agree - hearing the comments and discussion made me very proud of EPUD, it’s obvious you care about your customers.
Lane county heads are not about “the people”. Very sad! Thank you EPUD and those customers that could go and show support!
I am a customer of EPUD and garbage by Sani Pac. This project supported by City should not be the deciding factor. Turn it over to those who live in the district for a vote by public. I'm tired of paying fees and taxes and this has to come to an end.
Dear Lane County Commissioners, I respectfully request that this issue (IMERF project) be brought to a Public vote. Thank you for your consideration.
Posted on my social media.
I can't afford a higher bill please let us vote on this
I live in Lane County and feel this project the Commissioners are pushing is big enough that the people should have a Vote on it. Because of the added cost to consumers of electricity and trash it will cost them more that they cannot afford at this time.
Lane county misses the mark on many many things and has for years…
Thank you again for these updates. EPUD is fantastic and we appreciate your hard work. 😊
Thank you again for all you and your crews did and are doing. You are appreciated.
Take Care And Keep Safe! Happy Weekend!
Thank you for your continuing updates. They're extremely interesting!
Wonderful! Thank you for showing this to us.
Thank you all for your hard work to restore our power here in Marcola, OR!
Thank you Kyle, you and everyone there at EPUD are awesome, much thanks for a job well done, you all were the heroes of this community! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication!
Thank you once again for the wonderful job you all did in such a stressful situation. I am very impressed.
God bless all the linemen, thank you for all of your extremely hard work!❤
Thank you so much for the hard work all of the crew have done over the duration of this storm. Thank you EPUD every day for steady, reliable electricity. So many of now know how hard it is to go without it and I'm so fortunate to have light and heat for my home.
Thank you again Mr Roadman. You all are doing wonderful work and we truly appreciate it! 🩵
Thank you again. We very much appreciate you and your wonderful team!
Thank you once again for the updates. You guys are terrific and very much appreciated.
Thank you for the wonderful updates. Even though we have power, I'm very interested in what is going on. You and your crew are doing great. 👍
I am in Dexter. No power since 1/13. Please do Oak Drive/Fir Ave soon!!
Thanks to all helping out!
Thank you for the information, Mr Roadman. You and your crews got our power back up a couple days ago but I'm still finding this extremely interesting. You all have done and are doing a terrific job and I thank you very much!
Thanks for the updates! Thanks crewmen and everyone.
Keep the info coming. You are creating a textbook case of how to communicate effectively during a disaster. I suspect there are so few views because 15000 places that didn’t have power a few days ago now have power, so they are not hunting updated epud information. I’m also guessing the 3000 locations that are still waiting for power have limited ability to access UA-cam or Facebook. But for the relatively few of us who still have no power, but access to the Internet, keep it coming. Thank you.
Bless you all for all of your hard work. We are among the lucky ones with power since yesterday!!!Yeah ha!! We know this has been a nightmare for everyone, but hang in there,I'm sure help is on the way!! Blessings to all!! Sami and Alan Payment
Thank you for that information. It is apparent from your demeanor this is difficult - but necessary - news to deliver. You and the network of people who are helping to restore the power in the face of the - as you put it - catastrophe can't be thanked enough for your efforts. There will come a time in the weeks and months ahead when it will be necessary to acknowledge that what happened is a predictable surprise - "a situation where leaders have all the information needed to anticipate a disaster, but are still caught off guard by it." The lines will be repaired, the power will be restored, the trees left standing that compete with transmission lines will resume growing, and one day - maybe in February or in 10 Januarys from now - the wind and the snow and the ice will return. It is predictable. Why do "we" (and I'm not sure who "we" includes) ignore the political, organizational, and the other barriers that pretend it won't happen again? Bravo to you and the playbook from 2019 and the foresight to stockpile what you need to respond. But is that the best that can be done - to fall down 4 times and stand up five times and wait to fall down again? I don't know the answer to these questions for another day. I don't know who does.
Thank you for the update. Our power came back yesterday afternoon on Jeans Road area in Veneta. We thank you so much for your and your crew working so hard! ❤
Thank you for the update!!!
Thanks for the daily updates! Been seeing the crews working in P Hill and Dexter. Thankful for them and hope they get some rest soon.
The communication and detailed updates from you, Kyle, have been fantastic in this experience. We know that the crews (both local and additional resources) are working incredibly hard and I know that they are sacrificing their own time and families to support ours. Thank you for the efforts and making this more bearable with the transparency and communication efforts.
Thank you so much for having such hard working crews! And thanks also for these updates! You all are fantastic and very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the update. You were able to turn our power on about noon today and we are so thankful. The EPUD crews are hard workers and we really appreciate it. Thank you again.
Thank you for the update!
I really do appreciate this video update alot more than just an email notification. 👍
Stay safe!! We’re grateful for you.
Thank you for these updates! We do appreciate you guys.
Thank you thank you thank you for all the impossibly difficult work you guys do! 💖
Thank you for your hard work!
Thank you for trying to keep us informed as best you can. I have lived here a very long time and have always appreciated the diligence of our electric crews. Please be safe. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your great crews.
Safety is number 1 concern. No cell in Dexter or Lowell but in P Hill I was able to get on my cell phone. What about flooding concerns? Please keep updating and most imprt stay safe.
Thank you so much for the updates, and most of all, for your self sacrificing diligence. I do pray for all of the crews to be protected as they work to bring the power back.
Praying for your safely
Thank You Kyle and Crews. This is a very difficult situation for all involved. Thank you for the updates and all of the energy being put forth to restore "normalcy" once again. Peace & Power be with You All...
Thank you for the concerning and caring words and your hard work!
Appreciate all your hard work and dedication in providing us, customers service. As far as preventative measures, just an idea is there any way of making sure trees can be cut down within hundred to 200 feet from powerlines so people are not put in this predicament and will save money on overtime by being a little bit more preventative in our measures?
We've been listening to trees fall all around for hours now. Please be safe.
