I have a real soft spot for this old Christmas carol and I do think it lends itself to a few jazz-style harmonies. 'Castles Made Of Sand' is surely a contender for one of Jimi Hendrix's most beautiful songs.... This is our version - not an attempt to recreate the original, though I did try to recreate Jimi's backwards guitar solo.... A cover of @BeppeGambettamusic's 'Fandango Per La Bionda' with Dan Rogers (www.danrogers.co.uk) on double bass. Beppe has an amazing 'economy' picking style which I couldn't quite emulate on the faster sections (02:20 and 03:12) so I went for hybrid picking instead, which seems to work!
