Saw David Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall and of course, the concert was phenomenally amazing!!! I took away a few things from the concert and this podcast. There's definitely a reflection of life as one grows older and the possibility of life without one another; how lyrics now relate and have an influence on playing guitar; how Gilmour needed to be 'pushed'' out of his comfort zone. And the result..... a blooming great album!!!!

Get Todd Rundgren on the show if possible...

Great chat. I didn’t think Gary and Guy interrupted that much at all, and if they did, it was only with the enthusiasm that they have on the subject matter. These guys are obviously from the same musical era and have a lot of stories to share. I feel more like I’ve been privy to a good pub yarn between mates. Great stuff.

The way these two talk ALL OVER their guests consistently, in EVERY interview, is so irritating that I just can’t watch another one. It’s absolutely infuriating. I want to hear the guest, not these two dipsticks.

That was very fun. Althought they were long hours, and stressful times I'm sure, a recording session with Trevor must have been a good laugh all the same. When I'd look at CD singles of a lot of my favourite songs I'd see ZTT Records on them. A very high hit rate. This live interview had great energy

the shirts could've also said "Spandau say arm the unemployed". wonder what the Pleasure single would've turned out if they continued in '82 with Trevor at the helm. as it is, it's a bit of a lost single for them without a special 12" version and the album project came apart before recording began

Who knew then that Trevor played Bryan Ferry on the cheap Top,of the Pops records that you could buy at Woolworths . lol . That’s a great piece of useless information .

I saw The The in Reading in 93' I've forgotten the song Matt was singing but it was on an acoustic guitar, after 30 secs someone in the audience shouted out "why are you also so depressed". Matt stopped and said "I'm not depressed" and then continued the song. Loved them since i first saw them playing This Is the Day on the TV in a pool room in a pub near Acton Town tube station in 1983. Huge band for me x

Trevor is a genius. These podcasts are extraordinary. Gilmour, knopfler, now Trevor... It's extremely difficult to get interviews with these guys, and they are notoriously selective of who they give their time to. A huge testament to Guy and Kempy!!

Absolute fucking gold! Trevor is so honest and funny. I applied to work at Sarm studios when I was a student in the the early 80s just because I admired his work so much and wanted to learn the trade. Bizarrely, I ended up working at sea in a very technical role but I still wish I had followed my heart and gone into the studio. What a great interview.

Who knew? Guy Pratt & Gary Kemp. these podcasts keep getting better! A great team. Good interview with Trevor.
