Don't lose your imagination as you get older. Adults are really bad at imagine, they just live faithfully. Work for family, work for society, follow the rules. I mean, it doesn't wrong, but can't get out of our treadmill if we stick to that attitude. And finally, we lose messages of our own soul. Open your mind, think flexibly, be creative. You are so beautiful I would be patient with you plus first time I seen any of your feeds but I understand you speak English great
I’m glad to hear that!!! Thank you🤩🤩
Ahh the human brain. The biggest challenge us wanting to reach the target level. That desire and greed is hard to erase because its hard to express and feel the progress. I think youre moving in the right direction. Yea I understand the 답답한 느낌 ㅋㅋㅋ. Fighting 💪one day you will fprget about this problem
Heyyy minsu!! now I got your nuance of ‘human brain’😂 Yeah Let’s get ittt😎🤩🤩 I always thanks for your comments and encouragement. 우리 화이팅하잣!!
Nice. Interesting way of studying!
🤓 it really helps me adjust to the native sound!
@kim_sukim oooo
Its an interesting discussion You can think of life as some sort of puzzle everyone is trying to solve and I think that our mind is always trying to drive us towards our comfort but at the same time it should be prevalent that we should strive to stay focused on the task at hand . Imagination is not bad for people but it has to be backed with a solid plan and a method to go through with that plan ,actions are always the first step . It's good to practice even if its not free talking you did sound a lot more relaxed in this video keep up the good work 👌
Thank you for your continuous encouragement to me! You’re giving me a lot of values. Yes I hear you. Work faithfully at hand is the first, then if I have extra, I could imagine, and define my hopes, pursue them.
I agree. The brain likes to do easy things. As we get older we tend to gravitate towards easier things and habits because we have more experience and feel uncomfortable doing new things as we get older Planning and imagining your idea self is easy, but the execution and actual DOING is the hardest part. My advice for those people is to not plan and just start. You can plan once you feel more comfortable. Honestly, I am speaking from experience one month ago 😅. I procrastinated so much to follow through with my plans and watched too many how to study videos. But I realized: why not just start now? Doing something is better than nothing! Even if I don't make as good progress in the beginning, I am doing something better than nothing! I noticed that this wasn't free talking from your eyes and voice ㅋㅋㅋ. However I respect the thought and effort because you put some thought into this video to come up with the words.
I made a lot of typos typing on my phone sorry 😅
Yeah that’s what I want to say! I’m satisfying with your review. We tend to prefer keeping friendly states even it’s unsatisfying. BTW my thought wasn’t reach to that stage which is about the people who’s hesitating to execute. I totally agree with you. When I compare two things, execution is more harder than defining my hope. In addition to your opinion, someone who gets to do the task faithfully, who became practitioner, then he would hope bigger dreams. And at that moment, the ability of imagination is really needed I think. (Well maybe It depends on personal pursuing of life) I felt shame(..?) cuz while I do free talking, I can’t satisfy my desire to convey my intentions and messages correctly. Actually, for me, If I have to write down these ideas in Korean, it would be hard either. I’m realizing that no matter which language that I use is, the important thing is thinking & expression ability. And I’ve been always longing for that abilities. Hey thank you for your comments again! It’s really helpful for me to keep up these things!!
@@kim_sukimi do feel the same way as you about not being able to convey ideas with Korean. 답답한 느끔. However, like you said your english learning is going to be long-term. As you keep up your interest in the language, the words will come naturally! I think its cool you tried such a diificult topic. This topic is very hard to talk freely. Even though you did not meet your goals for free talking, you learned something new! You might feel unsatisfied with the results, but with learning there will always be a silver lining. At the end of the day you want ot learn! The brain is very intresting in that if we're not able to hit the milestone, then we feel very bad because we dont feel the reward (dopamine). The brain is always looking for rewards. My thoughts are even if you dont hit a goal try to think: hmm what did I learn today. In my opinion with learning there is always ups and downs. I think people feel sad with the downs and thats partly what discrouages a few people from studying and perfer more comfortable activites where rewards are easier like instagram or playing games all day. I can see what you mean about longing as kind of this motivation. Honestly, I try to avoid longing too much, because it sets hard expectations and you start feel disappointed in your results because you start judging yourself based on your ideal self and think that the gains you get from the day/practice is expected as opposed to good. Not sure if you feel the same. Would like to see what you think. However, having a clear goal/long can be good aa long as you dont judge yourself too hard! If you dont mind, I was wondering if we can become language partners or maybe share ideas like these? Your ideas kind of makes me think more about life Sorry if I am rambling. Just saying whatever is on my mind. 죄송합니다 😓
@@nope7200 Your words are literally inspiring. We find easier way to get dopamine easier. and as that courses repeated, we become too much adjusted to task which is we are used to do. Language partner! good idea. I want to help you too. I think we can use WhatsApp for talking more easier! or do you have any good idea? whatever! for now I'll attach the link. chat.whatsapp.com/H2HDxDwusg25fyCacbqK9Z

You're doing great, and you're so brave! It's not easy to put yourself on the spot like that. Speaking a language you're still learning in front of strangers takes a lot of courage. Great job on challenging yourself. Good luck!
It's not weird that I felt like being small, right?🥹🥹 Thank you for your encouragement. Have a delightful day!!
There's nothing strange about that 😅 I can understand why you might feel that way. It'd be great if your videos inspire others to also challenge themselves, even if it can feel a little intimidating. We'll be cheering you on. You've got this!
Cool video. I think it is very cool to see that you are grinding every day to get better at English. Your efforts will not betray you. I am practicing my listening in Korean through youtube or some variety show. This is kind of similar to how babies learn in that they listen to the language long enough to pick up words. Right now you might not feel the immiediate feedback loop with rewards (dopamine). You might feel like some days youre not absorbing as much knowledge, while other days you are able to understand English terms easily. As time goes on and you watch your older videos you will be like 와! Practice makes perfect!
@@nope7200 Thank you for your advice again!! Dopamine! I got hint about my state from your comment. I think sometimes I need to do these things without deep considering. Sometimes it would be needed but now I got to have straight or something mindset.😅 I want to ask you about your motivation or drive. Do you have any role model or ideal states in terms of your korean skills? In my case, I have few korean actresses who are good at English.
@kim_sukim Recently, I finished my masters degree. I know 100% that I will play a game called 롤(League of Legends) all the time after work if I don't find something to do. My motivation is to not regress to playing video games all the time. I have a Korean friend learning English, so it is fun to talk about Korean and ask questions. I also want to change my behavior like you said in your previous video. I want to stay disciplined. It is very easy to study, but studying everyday is a challenge. So far I've been pretty consistent. In general if you think something is hard, then your mind will try avoiding it. Creating a fun environment is key. Like I said earlier having a language friend helps a lot! I also do passive learning by just doing listening practice and reducing work load (not actively taking notes) if I feel that I am very low energy or exhausted to avoid burning out. Note: try to make passive learning not too frequent because the brain likes to do easy things. Another idea is to switch up your study plans once in a while to do something new so your brain is stimulated, doing the same thing everday can be very boring for your brain. However, over time studying will become a part of your life and burn out will not be as frequent. Hmm. I never really thought about a role model. 🤔 Sorry if my English grammar sounds weird because I am typing a lot on my phone ㅋㅋㅋ
Watching shows is a great way to learn I wish I knew any korean shows to help with my korean learning
@@ginyuu2490 Well.. let me see… If you are interested in korean culture -> any korean dramas would help you! I want to recommend you particular shows but I think It really depends on taste so .. How about <JTBC news room>? It’s just interview, you could search on youtube. There’s correct korean subtitle and you could hear announcer’s pronunciation.
I just knew that I can't find interview if I search <jtbc newsroom> on UA-cam. The interview which I said is like this. ua-cam.com/video/5BOUnyxsB88/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
@@kim_sukim Thank you for the recommendation , I'm okay with any Korean drama you could recommend as well
@ Actually I don’t watch drama these days.. I just know old shows. <나의 아저씨>: extremely dark mood and realistic drama. IU (korean singer) is in it. <태양의 후예>: It’s overly old drama…. it’s also known as cride drama among korean. Love story! Between soldier and doctor. <무한도전>: it’s supremely old show but almost 2/5 of korean watched and love this show. So if you watch this, you might sink in korean culture. But it could be hard for you to get fun point. relatively recent shows <차린건 쥐뿔도 없지만>: youtube show <안나>: pretty actress act on this drama. It’s fun just with watching her. Of course its message is awesome.
I agree that changing your actions will give you new perspectives. I think even with your youtube channel you're taking the initiative to improve your English beyond your comfort zone.
Yup!!! you're right. I tryna get out of my comfort zone by using English and uploading UA-cam.🤓😎 Well, your comments give me a courage. Thank you!
Your English sounds good. I think if you keep working the way you are now, you will do well! I just hope you don't get burnt out along the way. I am doing the opposite with learning Korean. I have Korean parents who only speak Korean and did some Korean classes when I was younger. Recently, I decided to learn Korean as a challenge because I finished my masters degree and have so much free time after work. In my opinion, I think I can speak and read a bit of Korean, but I am mostly working on my spelling and my vocabulary. I agree that having a language partner is useful. My friend is a Korean learning English and it is fun to talk back and forth. In my opinion, I think words have no meaning if you dont interact or use them, so I always try to use new words that my friend learned from her classes during our calls when we play games together. Whenever I try to study Korean, I focus on vocabulary, reading, listening, and writing. With vocabulary: I use flashcards (anki) and test my spelling. With reading: I read a random news article from naver or sometimes read manwha. I usually try to understand the sentence with context clues, otherwise I would use a translator. I usually find some new words to add to the vocabulary list if the word is very common. I try to avoid translating everything and limit myself to 3 translations per article, so I avoid adding too many words to the list and relying too much on a translator. With Listening: I watch a Korean content specifically podcasts like Yoo Jae-Suk's 뜬뜬 and turn off the subtitles. There is occasionally a few words that I don't understand, so I pause to add them to the list. However, I limit myself to 5 pauses and try to understand the context. With writing: I try to write a journal about my thoughts and I review with my Korean friend. I think it is interesting to see your approach in learning. I will try to incorporate (use) some of your ideas into my studying. I will definitely try out omeTV sometime to practice my Korean speaking with other Koreans.
Thank you for your considerate comment and sharing your tips!!!!!!!! I got goose bumps as I felt the connection between the world and me through your comments. And I was really surprised to your passion of learning Korean. I admire you. 뜬뜬???? really???? whoaaaa... Maybe you are good at most because of your attitude aren't you? (in a good way) Yeah, I've had similar worry in terms of vocabulary, because I have kinda obsession that I should recall the words by myself. But I realized that I don't have many words in my brain yet, and if I keep studying in this way, my improvement would be slow. Furthermore I want to say more elaborately, when it comes to manners or courtesy or nuance. So I concluded that I would search some words when I want to express my opinion, which will eventually be mine if I use it often since then. But I had a problem. As you know, I couldn't remember all of them, as I learned it by easy way, so I lose it easily too. It just got away from my brain after just one usage. I think it's really good method that you make a limitation of vocab searching at once and per day. I'm gonna imitate this on my way. Thank you for sharing. I wish someday we would meet at OmeTV😚🤪 Have a loooovely day!!! Thanks!
@kim_sukim if you want we can be language partners.
