Are these instructions safe for a silk men's suit (long suit that some hasidic Jews wear)
Did you pick the red color or did she?
Do you have any suggestion on how to treat discolouration spots on a silk dress?

Beautiful music.Motivates me to do exercise in the morning
Are there ads in this video? I didn't hear any but I didn't listen to the whole thing yet. If anyone can tell me, that would be much appreciated.
@theroadmosthigh1122 Are you still using the rosemary water also?
Shortly after bleaching dusting the hair like you're doing is a good idea, but in a few months you might want to transition to actual search & destroy because you don't want to be cutting hairs that are new growth & not breakage :)) you might also want to consider microtrimming to improve the hemline once you start seeing growth. Glad to see you're already seeing improvements <3
I know you don’t want to loose your length but the damage has to go. Search out a short style and go for it. With a new stylist. Go natural…girl you a beautiful, stop trying to change what you were given because nothing looks more beautiful then healthy shiny hair. Why do we always want something other then what we have? The grass is NOT greener on the other side. You can definitely pull off a short style and healthy hair is so much more beautiful. You got this girl, I mean look at that face…cut it off. Your healthy hair will grow to your waste in five years.
Good plan. Let your hair heal. I’ve had bleach nightmares too. Last time I bleached, June 2022, my hair broke a lot. The hairdresser, a man I trusted for decades, said, don’t worry, you have a lot of hair. 😮 He was combing out bunches! No more chemicals on my hair. It’s getting long and healthy. This too shall pass for you, dear. ❤
“Don’t worry, you have a lot of hair.” EXCUSE ME?! Lol. I’m so inspired that your hair is bouncing back after all of the chemical damage! I always kind of feared that the bleach was affecting the scalp and how the hair would grow back … My Mom started having my hair highlighted when I was 12 so I really only know bleached hair. 🙏🏼 I’m excited to share this journey with you!
I have fine hair and it was down to the middle of my back. It was an auburn color and I decided that I wanted brown hair with blonde highlights. My hair stylist said no problem and used Efacil to strip out the red color and it turned a golden color. The hair stylist then mixed up a bowl of blown hair color and another bowl full of bleach. She put *all* of my hair in foil packets which took forever and was late for her next two clients while my hair was processing. She finally took all the foils out and my hair was black with white highlights. It looked like I had gone prematurely gray in one afternoon. We washed my hair to see if some of the black would come out, and I got bands of lighter and darker hair color that went around my head - much like a yellow jacket. The underneath of the hair was a copper color. This whole process took 8 hours and she was crying at the end of all of it. I left the salon and washed my hair nine times the next day which helped get rid of some of the black. I was going to shave my head, but decide to see if someone could fix it and I called a hair salon the next day in tears asking if anyone did color corrections there. I got an appointment with a wonderful hair stylist who was able to make my hair the brown color with blonde highlights and I went to her for 20 years until she retired. There was a lot of breakage and as the brown faded some grayish color to my hair, but it wasn't nearly as scary as that black and white color with bumble bee bands. It took about a year to start to calm down and I cut my hair to my shoulders which helped a lot. It seems like your hair will never be normal, but time has a wonderful way of ticking and this too will pass.
BABE!!! Oh my gosh … I’m sending you a huge cyber hug for that situation. You’re coming out the other side, which is motivational to everyone that reads this! Thank you so much for sharing … I’m currently talking myself down from getting my red covered with dye to be a root match to my natural color. But, I just want to be done with the salon 😫 Thoughts?
You need to just cut it above all the breakage and start fresh.
Golden advice! I cut it to just below my shoulders (so that I don’t have that dreaded shoulder length grow out {been there, done that LOL}). It sounds so silly but my mental health about my hair went way up when I just cut it versus nursing my horrible damage.
Not a lot of females admit to damaging their own hair. As they get older the hair growth phase slows and it’s less easy to reverse severe damage such as hers. That’s why it’s important for parents and their kids to be informed about basic hair care. Most people don’t even know the basics and yet they try to do all these complex things with their hair and with other’s. As a kid my dad taught me how to braid my hair and my mom used coconut oil in it. Neither parent ever chemically treated my hair because they knew how unhealthy it was. I was the same way, however I was always obsessed with straight hair at that period in my life so in high school I’d flat iron it. Not all the time, but the issue was I did it without heat protectant because I wasn’t informed on what that was and no one told me/corrected me. And at that age hair care was the last thing on my mind, unlike today where I take it much more seriously. We learn as we grow. In my early twenties I was still neglecting it because of its very high maintenance. I have coarse/textured hair by the way. The unfortunate result was it was severely tangled and matted for many years and I eventually had to get it professionally detangled. It was well worth every penny and since then I’ve been on this amazing hair journey of self care, self awareness, self love and self education. I’ve been genetically gifted with long hair but it always stayed at the same length, probably because of breakage. It wasn’t until a few years ago that my hair started growing past my waist and now it’s almost to my knees 😁 I believe my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been in my life and thankfully I was able to fix my mistakes before it was too late.
To your knees!? God bless it! PLEASE continue to comment on my videos (subscribed or not LOL) because my goal is tailbone, and I’ve never gotten it that long before, so your help would be EVERYTHING!
You should do the Curly Girl Method! It would really benefit your hair! Get rid of all silicones and stop bleaching and coloring and embrace your waves/curls. Please go curly girl method. It's a life changer
YAAAAAS! I have naturally 2b/2c, and tried CGM during quarantine. It helps hair stay so much healthier because we’re not running our fingers threw it all day! LOL. I stopped because I didn’t perfect a refresh w/o frizz and my hair felt kind of dry after a couple of days. Tips?! xoxo 💋
@@theroadmosthigh1122 The refresh is an annoyance really😮💨 I can't go without wetting it everyday with a spraybottle and revive the curls. That's the only thing that works. No matter how you sleep (with a bonnet, scarf, pineapple, braid and on silk pillowcases etc) it's gonna be a mess in the morning. Some curls stay perfect but the rest are gone or totally messed up. So I always wet almost all of my hair and scrunch it and let it airdry. I'm trying to grow it out long btw and I'm looking forward to the days when I'll be able to just make a nice loose braid and have a few curly face framing layers and look good, or put it up in a bun and on the way home let it out and it would look great with tons of fluffy curls. I'm an assistant nurse so we have to put it up for work. I have a long way left till it's long again... About your hair feeling dry after a while might be because you need to get rid of the build up so your hair is able to absorb the moisture from conditioners etc. Before you start the CGM you have to deepclean it with a harsch sulphate shampoo (or dishwash!) to get rid of all the buildup of silicones and other stuff over the years. Then you go in with a good conditioner and only use siliconfree products on your hair. After a while it will feel soft. Important ofc is to cut off those dead parts and start with fresch hair, sadly. But I bet you'll look cute in a shorter naturally curly/wavy hairstyle while you let it grow out again!
Good that you are doing your research. Hair is mostly made up of Keratin (a type of protein) and very little moisture. There is such a thing as Keratin & Moisture overload. Gotta find a happy balance. So many will put down affordable products in favor of high end. I personally won't buy into that. When hair is no longer healthy, it has to be trimmed, layered (hair has to have thickness) or cut to start over again. I'm often amazed by how many products many ladies put into their hair and the same to take care of their skin. I look forward to see what you do next. Thumbs Up!
YES! Hair is naturally hydrophobic, so moisture can be so hard on hair in spades! You’ve just given me the inspiration to do a video on this ♥️ I’m so grateful to have you in this community💋
Great break down of information
Thanks babe! I really hope that it helps in your hair journey! xoxo
😕 "Promosm"
I'm not sure what you mean by this ... but you might be saying that it's a promo video? Nothing in this video was sponsored. Thanks for watching!!
Cut it off in a cute pixie and condition the he** out of it as it regrows. And stay away from the bleach. Give your hair a break!
Condition the he** out of it, is absolutely right! I also posted another video about science backed ways to revive severe bleach damage. The science showed that a protein treatment, as well as particular oils, can totally revive hair - and I'm a walking testimony!
Hello, could you tell me ingredients of a detergent that can be used on silk? I cant find any dedicated specifically for silk :(
I've heard that Le Blanc is safe for silk! I've only ever used Slip Brand though ... LilySilk also makes one. Ultimately, I really only trust brands that have the intrinsic motivation to be sure your hand washed silk stays beautiful because silk is the bread and butter of their company. I hope this helps!
I colored my own hair a light blonde it turned orange and I found out I had too much iron in my water. After a new water softener I saw a you tube video fromTammys ageless beauty. She uses essential oils with a carrier oil on her scalp.. Then I put castor oil or argon oil in my ends. My hairdresser says I don't have a damaged hair on my scalp now So this worked for me please try it. Check out tammys hair before she went gray it was blonde and gorgeous.
I love UA-camr recommendations!! Iron turning hair orange ... that totally makes sense because it oxidizes as orange but I totally wouldn't have bet money on it turning hair that color! I'm sorry that this happened to you babe ... How did you get the orange out of your beautiful blonde?!
I hope you didn’t have to pay her😢but your hair will be healthier again hopefully you won’t go back to that person it’s so hard to find someone to trust. Thanks for sharing ❤
Uh, you know how it goes ... The damage showed up hours and days after my appointment so she definitely did get paid. I'm actually letting my hair grow out! I'm getting to the awkward stage where my roots are so visible but I'm holding strong ... Long hair has been a childhood dream of mine so I'm going to use you guys as my support system to see this through! xoxo
I am so moved by your story. I went to cosmetology school 2x and use to be a license hairstylist. I have had good and bad results from professionals. I let my hair grow out naturally for over 3 1/2 years and realized I needed a boost so I began with a subtle shade of red and eventually got it to a bright copper (my desired shade) with no bleach but red is the most high maintenance of colors and the off again colored masks took it's tole on me (not my hair). When all this began I was a blonde and never thought I would want to be a blonde again....wrong! After so many months of watching red hair videos and color removals I took the plunge and with one round of Color OOPS, 2/3 of all the red molecules were gone and I was left with a dark blonde hair color, keep in mind, my hair was virgin brown with some gray. I don't wish to seek out a colorist; I knew I had to add color to my hair so I purchased a very light blonde (not ash). I sat beneath a dryer for 40 minutes with a plastic cap and I was so surprise that my roots were not "hot roots" and it appears even, not patchy. For me, the box dye will lift beneath the dryer. The ends are a deeper blonde. Soon it will be time for a retouch and I will drag it to the ends for 10-15 minutes to see if the ends will lift a little, it's worked before.....and a few times a years I will comb it through (that's it).....I think I found a happy medium.....no salon color cost.....no bleaching and my objective is no toners............when I was blonde before I never toned it and it was a sunny blonde shade to my waist.....That's my story and I hope I am fortunate with my new hair journey. I am going to sub your channel to watch your journey. I wish you all the best. PS. Unlike years ago, these last 2 years, I shampoo 2x on the same day and smooth out my hair and that's it for the week. I can't go without heat, I live in 100% humidity and I don't use bonding products.....not saying they are not good for others but I won't be experimenting and long and my haircolor is aesthically pleasing. You have been fortunate to get some good advice in the comment section. Oh, one more thing, I agree with the hair chop to a degree once there is an obvious hole in the back of the hair.......having a relatively blunt base line makes the hair look healthier and fuller. Good luck!
🥹 thanks for the love, babe! You're a magician! That's so impressive you're able to achieve those results at home! I think I'm done with having a colorist too, girl ... They just don't seem to care about the health of the hair, only getting paid?? They rip hair brushes through wet hair too which makes me totally cringe. I'm genuinely so grateful to have you subscribed to the channel because you have a neutral professional opinion because you went to cosmo school but aren't practicing. You can help us all if you feel inclined to comment on any future videos! xoxo
Looks good! Please be careful with bond builder products. I used k18 on similar type hair as yours and it was kind of a disaster. I think it’s good for some hair …. Just not mine….
Oh, babe! Were you able to reverse the damage that it caused? 🥺 So many lovely people are recommending K18, and I’ve almost buckled a couple of times. What is making a big difference for me, I’ll be doing a video on it to inspire others (not sponsored), is Mielle Rosemary Mint Strengthening Deep Conditioner! Wow, my hair feels more resilient! Thank you so much for your comment, I love connecting with y’all so much!
Your hair color is beautiful that's the color I go for now and I actually use a Box dye and it's actually one of the cheapest and it's Revlon medium reddish Brown and I just touch up my roots because I'm completely Gray and I just leave it on for like 10 minutes and it gives it the color that you have may be a little lighter. You may not have Gray hair so you may not need to touch up your roots I don't know but it works for my hair and it's $5 a Box. I used to go to the salon all the time and I achieve the same results with a Box dye that I want so I'm saving a lot of money... I myself would Box to hide my hair when I used to go blonde all the time and one time I overprocessed my hair and it was down to my elbows and it broke off probably Is 3" below my shoulders. I didn't really do anything special to it it's fixed itself I did get it all trimmed off but There wasn't really attached to my hair or so it didn't matter to me and now I have short hair I cut my hair down to a pixie and I'm letting it grow out just above my shoulders to give me more movement However I'm 60 years old and I can't pull off long hair anymore some people can I canno. I don't feel comfortable in it anymore and I'm a different person than I was when I was younger so I think we all morphin 2 different phases in our lives as we become a bit of a different woman.... I hope your hair heals quickly for you and you can get back onto it easy regimen... I hear henna coloring is very easy on your hair and it's natural you may want to look into that I hear henna coloring is very easy on your hair and it's natural you may want to look into that❤
YES! I used box dyes in college, and girl, my hair looked so shiny and was healthy! Unfortunately, cutting the bleach damage seems to be the only way forward. You guys have all convinced me of that, and I actually did a big chop. I thought I’d feel sad, and maybe you felt the same, I feel happier! Seeing all of that damage made me so dang sad all of the time. I wish you all of the blessings in this world! Thank you for sharing 💋
Lot of hair mask and no shampoo
Ohhhh, that’s very interesting! Are you successfully doing no-poo? I’d love to hear more!
Every chemical you use is going to add further stress…… a gloss has low volume peroxide …… just use treatments & strengtheners. Be careful of protein treatments your hair w/ crack & break.
Um, first off, I had NO idea that gloss had peroxide in it 🤯Isn’t that drying? Can you explain more about the protein breaking hair? I heard somewhere that bleached hair is super protein deficient so I thought it might help?
I feel you so much on your hair journey! Look into sebastian dark oil and truss net mask. They have worked wonders in restoring my hair.
The Sebastian Dark Oil bottle looks like an absolute aesthetic! Like a luxury product that you have the privilege of using (LOL) and 1.5k reviews with 5 stars … I’ll be looking into it! I have a feeling some serious thanks are in order for these product recommendations! They have phenomenal reviews. xoxo 💋
😢😢😢 I feel so sad for your dead hair. It’s like straw. Maybe you should start all over again I don’t know it just feels so sad.
It definitely felt like straw! I did end up getting a big chop and it feels so much better. I have also found some products that are making a huge difference! I’ll be doing a non-sponsored video to share those items with y’all soon!
Hi Gabrielle, I’m so sorry this happened to you! I got my hair bleached 3 weeks ago and it’s completely fried. I have been using k18 and it is helping a lot. I also put oil on my hair while it is still wet.
Yessss!!! K18 saved my hairrrrre!!
I’m hearing so much about K18! I feel like that, and Color WOW, have come out of the wood work 🤣 I’m so freaking happy to hear that you found something that is working for you after an experience like that! Something about our hair is such a pride and joy. I guess IT IS how we reflect ourselves to the world and that’s why we spend so much money perfecting the color etc. YEEEEES! The LCO method is working wonders for me too! High porosity hair needs that kind of love I think …
K18 is ❤
I had a similar situation happen with my hair. Combination of a restrictive ED and over processing and heat. I’m not going to lie, it took me a year and a half before I could pull my bangs down to my chin. My hair was all broken at the top (well all over crown) just like yours. Here’s what worked for me….. I stopped using any heat on my hair unless I was going on a date or of needed to look nice lol, only use silk scrunchies and just did what you’re talking about…let my hair grow out…I also took Hair LaVie hair vitamins, and really felt they did a lot for both my hair and nails! After I had my hair healthy, I’ve started doing Brazilian blowout. My hair is never been healthier! Yes, it does get processed once every few months but I almost never have to use heat on it in between I don’t even have to blow dry my hair and I have wavy frizzy hair naturally. Anyway, sending you all the good juju! Don’t know why the UA-cam algorithm gods gifted me your channel on my homepage today, but I’m glad they did! New subscriber!
Seeing the halo of broken hair is such a bummer … But, you were able to nurse your bangs back to chin length which means what you’re doing is working! I recently learned about the “dusting method” and it’s helping my hair so much! I’d love to share it with you! (I recommend looking up videos because words can only explain so much) … But, you hold a inch section of hair at a time and you crimp it between your middle and pointer finger, starting near your head. You’ll notice small fly aways between your fingers (breakage) and you give a mm or so trim to each of those strands once a month all around your head. They tell us to cut our ends to prevent splits but what about all the shorter hairs that broke?! Those ARE splits. Let me know how that works for you! 💋
K18 hair treatment after every wash but make sure you look into using it correctly because I’ve talked to a lot of people that don’t use it properly for it to do it’s magic. Follow that up with the Eva NYC Hair Therapy mask, this transformed my crispy bleached mids & ends after just one use- I was amazed. Also I highly recommend using the K18 detox shampoo. It’s the most gentle shampoo I’ve ever used, it’s PH levels are the lowest I’ve seen which is the most ideal for high porosity hair because it helps close the cuticle. This shampoo also cleanses silicones and other product out of your hair shaft so well in order to allow new moisture to penetrate. My hair actually feels amazing after I use it. It also is a necessary precursor, in my opinion, for the K18 to penetrate (which will transform your hair) But yeah follow that up with the K18 treatment, I’d say leave it in for an hour then re-wet your hair to apply the Eva mask. If you try this let me know how it goes i think this will all make a very noticeable difference after just one time and will continue to make permanent improvement. P.s. in your case don’t avoid using silicones because these will help greatly in preventing further damage to your delicate hair. Just make sure you’re using the detox shampoo I mentioned before. I wish you the best in your new-found hair journey. I’ve been there before, future you will look back and laugh because you’ll learn so much about your hair throughout the journey that will enable you to have the most amazing hair of your dreams.
I love the product recommendation that is accessible at a local Ulta! Is there anything more annoying than having to buy an off the shelf deep conditioner because you waited too long to repurchase an online only one 🤣 You sound very knowledgable, and so I’m hoping that you may know this answer! I get pretty skittish when it comes to using commercial products with chemicals we haven’t seen long term testing on. Do you think K18 is pretty safe to use? I’m itching to try it because everyone loves it so much but the Olaplex thing kind of reenforced my fears lol. Thanks for your comment babe!
If your hair was blonde ...from bleach than putting a red color on can go darker or if you don't go dark enough can go pink. I don't recommend all over platinum hair for anyone. Hair color is not always a sure thing. Bleach is tough and some stylists keave it on one hour and their people don't lose hair or have breakage. I discourage all over bleach . Hairstylist forever.
I agree! It was just a bad time with already bleached hair. I can’t blame her, but I do think I’ve learned my lesson. I have two inches of virgin hair and rocking it LOL!
I feel for you. I have had some sort chemical damage most of my life.
Right?! Same. It actually makes me wonder what my hair type is lol. I’ve always considered it fine and high porosity but what if that’s just the damage?
@@theroadmosthigh1122 I never did well with any chemicals on my hair. Starting when I was a kid.
Red washes out fast
That’s unbelievably true! High maintenance, but oh so beautiful 🦋
Girl you needs some olaplex or K18. You should use the olaplex during bleaching hair
I keep hearing about K18! Have you tried and liked it? If you have tried it, did you notice results with it? My hair is straw and I just want to keep as much length retention as I can 🫣
Omg you look SO BEAUTIFUL!!
🥹 Thank you so much! I had waist length hair, before it all broke in the bleaching incident, so your compliment means so much to me while I’m getting used to the new look!
Hey sweetie, I have 4b texture hair. Please do not hold onto the length. There will be more damage a month from now. Have the length cut up to your shoulders (above the breakage). After you wash your hair, use a light protein conditioner, then folllow-up with a moisturizing deep conditioner with heat for (30) minutes. Then pour a little apple cider vinegar (with the mother) in a bottle of filtered water & use as your final rinse to seal the cuticle. Afterwards, use a leave-in. Style your hair, and pin it up. Sleep with a satin bonnet & get a satin or silk pillow case. Keep it off your shoulders, and get some cute clips (hair toys) to put in your hair. Your hair will be just fine, and your hair will flourish. New subscriber here, & Take Care!. MJ 😊
😲 The fact that you took the time to send a comment so full of practical advice, literally has me in shocked gratitude. I WILL try this routine and see how I do. I recently purchased the Mielle Rosemary & Mint Strengthening Deep Conditioner and their matching scalp oil (haven’t tried them yet!) Do you have any experience with these? You mentioned also keeping it off the shoulders which stuck out to me. My hair tends to break around my shoulder blades, and it must be the damage from rubbing against chairs/clothing and things? I tend to wear my hair down a lot. Again, thank you so so much and welcome to our loving corner of the internet!
Use a satin pillow case, it will help.
I have Slip pillowcases, but I literally wakeup cuddling the pillow with my head on the cotton sheet 🫠 Is that just me? Lol
Honestly, your hair doesn't look that bad. Maybe it looks bad to you because you know what it was before the hairdressing gaff. Seeing you for the first time ever, yes, it does look dry but it doesn't look like anything a good cut won't fix. The colour also seems fine. Maybe not exactly what you envisioned but it's not some strange, embarrassing colour. Unfortunately, I've had worse experiences with hairdressers (turning my hair greenish brown, perms from hell, bangs melted off from overbleaching) and still managed to nurse my poor hair back to a presentable state. In my case, damages occured at the hands of different hairdressers that I considered very professional as well as not very professional. Fact is, we decide we want to do these fantastical things to our hair and there's always a hairdresser willing to say yes and take your money (lots of it). Worse case scenario we're rockin' a pixie one day... but hey, it actually is just hair and it does grow back. Especially if you focus on living your life... you'd be surprised at how quickly your hair grows if you're not thinking about it all the time.
I’m sending a cyber hug for the hair damage that you’ve had! That sounds pretty traumatic when you consider that you thought you would be leaving like the picture that you showed her. You’re so right … Not focusing on the length, and instead focusing on rinse and repeating a solid hair care routine is all that is needed! I just wish hair grew a lot faster 😅
Longer hair has options.Shorter hair not so much.Sick of bobs.
YES! This is my 3rd big chop from this type of damage and I’m just over it. It’s not that bobs aren’t lovely, but the owner of the bob should like having one, no? Lol
I have also been on a " Hair Journey" for the last year and a half.... my hair got fried out using color on my hair every 6 to 8 weeks; and that was with a chestnut brown color!! I used one of the online at home coloring brands and it ruined my hair. A few things that improved the health of my hair: Wash your hair less often Use a leave in conditioner after every wash I also have high porosity hair so it's all about adding more moisture when you need it until your next wash. You may need a heavier leave in and usw hair oil to really lock in that moisture so your hair can heal. Some oils I use are Aragon and Amla Jasmine hair oil. I also started using color depositing hair masks to cover my grays and add color.
I’m sending a cyber hug to you for what you went through! We set out to beautify ourselves, and anything else hurts, you know? Thank you for these tips! I hadn’t heard of Jasmine Amla oil before. I’m naturally brunette, so Amla would be great to use since it’s slightly color depositing on its own. What leave-in has nursed your hair back?!
@@theroadmosthigh1122 The Amla oil I use is not really color depositing as it is a light colored oil. Got it from Amazon. Some color depositing masks I use are Four Reasons Toning Treatment in Latte, Wella Color Fresh Mask in Chocolate Touch and a color cleansing conditioner by Color Lux in Cocoa. I feel all of these deposit more color on dry hair. I put the masks on over my grays first and then add throughout the rest of my hair to even it out. I cover it with a plastic cap and leave in for an hour and then rise. More color deposits the longer you leave it on.
I feel your pain. I’ve been there. I went to a salon to get my blonde roots done. The hairdresser mentioned to me that she isn’t good with measuring. Omg! I started to panic. She then proceeded to put the bleach on my hair. Then she confided in me that she is not a hairdresser. She told me her boss put an old stylists license up. In fact she told me that was not really her name! Omg! After she washed me out my below my bottom hair started melting off! I didn’t cry or freak out. I realized there was nothing to be done. I went home and did the Aveda healing process. I spent the next five years growing my healthy thick virgin hair. To be continued…
🤯 WHAT?! Melting off?! Sending my love babe … You’re so pragmatic for realizing that nothing could be done, and to just move forward. I have used Aveda’s Botanical Repair and it nearly immediately helped cut hair shed to a third. I don’t love the smell (earthy) but that’s Aveda for you. How have you kept your length retained over these 5 years? What routine do you have for your ends? Or any holy grail products? I love oil recommendations if you have one. Right now, sweet almond oil seems to be helping. I’m hoping that virgin ends are more durable naturally.
I’m so sorry this happened to you and I really feel your pain! Something similar happened to me last year, but I managed to bring my hair back to life. I didn’t know this but bond builders can actually cause breakage. So here’s what worked for me (after a lot of trial and error) - I hope it helps! Before washing the hair, put the Philip Kingsley hair elasticizer in for about 20-30 min. Then rinse is out and use the Shu Uemura ultimate reset shampoo followed by the Shu Uemera ultimate repair mask. Leave the mask in for 10 min and comb it through and then rinse. Then put in some GHD advanced split end therapy on your ends and dry with a microfiber towel. Before drying, put GHD heat protector all over and use minimal heat.
I’m rooting for your healthy hair journey babe! I’m 100% going to have to look into binders causing breakage? I guess my kindergarten line of thinking can see how when something becomes very strong, it in turn becomes fragile, like many things in nature. Also, I must have been living under a rock because I’ve never heard of GHD but I’ve just seen that their products have won over 400 beauty awards globally?! I’ll be looking into your recommendations! Huge cyber hug coming your way!
As a hairdresser/chemical specialist for over 30 years all I'm gonna say is once your hairs damage to the point where it's breaking off the only real fix is to cut it. There's no expensive mask, bonder, oil that can fix your hair once it's damaged to the point where it's actually breaking because of chemical damage. All temporary fixes. you just have to bite the bullet and cut the really damaged parts off.
I really appreciate your professional opinion! May I ask you a question? As a specialist, how can we maintain scalp health, and a healthy PH, to support follicular health?
@@theroadmosthigh1122 Just like our skin, the best thing for scalp health is eating a good diet and proper nutrition. Regular scalp massage and treatments such as microcurrent stimulation help to increase blood flow to the follicle which will provide max hair growth. It is certainly important to use good hair care, but once the hair comes out of your scalp it is no longer living it’s just receiving sebum from the scalp to condition it. What’s more important is the actual follicle health and not doing things to our hair that can potentially destroy it such as over bleaching or straighteners(perms). Your hair is just layers of keratin although hair is strong continued use of harsh chemicals will eventually break it off. In some cases can even cause permanent hair loss. Unfortunately many people are walking around with extremely damaged hair due to the trend of balayage leading to over bleaching the hair to achieve very platinum blondes on dark hair.

Oh, I know I'll love her already! She really seems into the science of "why" and that's so up my alley. What is the biggest thing you've learned from her? Thank you for the suggestion!
I am going through this right now. Not as much breakage as of now but she ruined my color and shape of that my hair was in. I’m using olaplex #3 and a good shampoo and conditioner as well as masks and leave in conditioner and oils. It has made a huge difference. I had a gap in the back as well so I had to cut up to where that gap was evened out. You could also do clip in extensions. Just make sure they are clip ins and good quality. Look for a UA-camr named blowout professor he has a lot of good info on how to grow healthy hair.
Penny, these are incredible tips and advice! Keep em’ commin’ because your girl could use the leg up! I’m on the hunt for a really good shampoo/conditioner set. I read that we should be paying attention to protein, which has me feeling overwhelmed as to where to start?

Thanks for the recipe. I am always looking for natural ways to take care of issues. We are using way too many chemicals in our skincare, etc. I just found your channel and glad I did!
Joy, I couldn't agree more! When people say "Check the ingredients list to be sure it doesn't have X in it," or running products through apps like Think Dirty, it seems so unnecessary when nature provides everything to us. I'll keep uploading holistic content, and if you ever have advice or your own recipes to share in the comments I'd love to learn from you!
I have soo many stories like this due to hairdresser ;[ ;[ I found wigs long blonde wigs that are always perfect and lift my spirits ..hides my broken bleached hair ..
