I sit, here i am. Simply 2 years ago I was actively trying to kill myself. Disgusted with reality, upset that I was being forced to abide by everyone else's rules and live in a world filled with nothing but cruelty. As I sit here, a wave of sadness washing over me once more, i close my eyes and let out a long and slow breathe but...this time, it's different. This breath, carrying with it my sorrows, gently accepting that yeah, the world really is an awful place, and sure, it's really hard to live your life comfortably, but I am here. Being so caught up in everything, I step back, not away though like I had, just a few steps back. I look at myself in the mirror and say it'll be okay kid, do what you are doing and no one can say anything else at all because of the past you've come from. I dug myself out of that damned hole and even now continue to fight day in and day out to stay above that hole. So as I repeat to myself, looking at the laptop screen, it'll be okay kid. I will not only figure it out but I'll find myself and peace in the chaos, ty for slowing the song down.🤘
