Most of our family are religious but not knowledgeable when it comes to deen. That's the only problem. Don't blame them instead be the change and make your future kids knowledgeable

@@icecream-wf5yb definitely the case. Islam is about compassion and mercy since all children of Adam are sinners. However we shouldn't forget about Allah's wrath and anger too but like it says in the Qur'an, his mercy is greater than his anger.

Thats not completly correct. Most scholars said not praying is only Kufr akbar if you do not pray because you dont believe anymore. It depends on your heart. Otherwise millions of muslims would be kuffar and we would not be allowed to pray on the janaza of somebody who did not pray. Plus NAK Was talking about the purpous. Its called "illa" in arabic. The reason you do something. And this has to be mentioned specifially. This was what he was talking about. He did not say that the other hadith do not exist. You need knowledge, have to listen carefully and try to understand, to not misunderstand. ;)

First of all if you really want to understand it, is do you really believe in God, do you really believe there is a creator of everything. As a muslim I see 3 big religions, Jewish, Christian and muslims. And all those prohets are mentioned by the jews and Christians are condirmed by the prohet Muhammed pbuh. As for example things mentioned in the quran more then a thousand year ago that science only had discovers recently or hunderd year ago. So then if you believe God has told us what we can and cannot do. Prayer is something we must do. (Even in the old scriptures is written how the prohets would prostrate) you only bow down to God, that's the biggest connection. So what he is trying to say I think is that some people believe but for an example don't feel like praying. But do it like it's a burden. While it's about your mindset. God knows his creation best and does not ask for you, to do something that is bad for you. That why the other people view it possitve. So it is very important to pray or try to pray with a positive mindset, because really it is a good thing. I hope I could explain it to you

Everyone is judged according to what they know and what their responsibility is. For example, an insane person is not in control of their actions and may be pardoned. If you are of sound mind and you've been told what to do and how to do it, you have no excuse. If you're a good person but you don't know the one who created you and don't follow the guidance he has sent then you'll probably get some punishment but with a little respite for trying to be good but of course it's up to him and no one else. And also your view of good may not even be that good, depending on what your definition of 'good' is. Don't you think the one who is all-knowing and all-wise has the perfect definition of good? And if you don't believe in God, then where do you get your definition of good from in the first place? Your own opinion? Man made laws that are constantly being changed and rewritten? How can true goodness change with time and across different countries? There needs to be consistency which Islam teaches. I know it's a lot to read and I'm not assuming things about you specifically, I was saying 'you' in a general sense. Hope it makes sense! 😊

How do you determine what is good though?

Than you get punishment for some period time for not praying and eventually enter heaven for the last one you can pray infinity times if you want to. No problem in that
