I was utterly distressed when two of my sisters posted on Facebook not from the actual Capitol riot but from the gathering in D.C. that same weekend. These two sisters have been American public school teachers with Masters Degrees in Education but are also Christian Fundamentalist S. Baptist Trump supporters. One of my sisters was also photographed by the New York Times arriving in D.C. by bus with an Evangelical Christian group that same weekend. This was distressing to me because I view Trump as simply using these disenchanted and manipulated Christians. I wonder how they may now feel about the current alliances and ties to the Catholic sect “Opus Dei” and to Trump’s famous Project 2025? I can imagine Trump listening to Mike Johnson in your story but Trump humming silently to himself, “Blah, blah, blah…”
