How do I use a keyboard as a MIDI but with the patches / sounds from the actual keyboard, as opposed to a plugin? I'm using a Yamaha PSS A50

I got a new computer and was like oh no I have to do this all again and it'll take ages..! But with your clear video and help it was really fast and painless.

I failed at the final hurdle of getting MIDI audio (to the speakers) and data to a monitor (MIDI-OX) out of Reaper. I'm new to Reaper so just starting to learn the basics.

Watched a few vids on this a few weeks back but had no success and ended up copying one kit piece at a time to a wav file and dumped them back into the daw. Took hours and sucked my enthusiasm for doing the mix. Just followed this video today and everything worked. Thank you so much!

"grooves" are a good thing to listen to for ideas, but taking sampled tracks and pasting them together in an attempt to create an original song might be lacking, just like buying chord progressions or other stuff non musicians might do as a shortcut from learning music. I came here in hopes of learning a foolproof way to download power drumkit2 (the tech), not use it as a shortcut. Some of us make music and others paste pieces together in the attempt to do so. I guess all this tech is geared toward the latter.

I loaded this drum plugin onto my device. ....also loaded BFD and Slate when this didn't work. All show up as downloads, but don't show up at all in Reaper. A couple of other instrument plugins I've tried as a beginner work. Any Ideas? I really want drums. Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Lewis, thanks for the video! I am very new to reaper and sound recording, so please bear with me! I too am a podcaster looking for a 6 mic set up. I saw your post below about the Focusrite Scarlett models and am considering a purchase. However, I do have a Lionwei docking station with USB inputs that allow me to plug in 6 lavalier mics. The windows 10 operating system on my PC sees each mic separately but i can't seem to find each mic individually in Reaper and don't know what settings, if any, would let me use this set up. For example, I'm not aware of any drivers for the docking station (plug and Play) so nothing comes up in the audio device settings. Any thoughts on which settings I could use to make this happen? Budget is tight now so as much as I'd like the Focusrite, I'd rather make what i already have work. Thanks for any help.
