Actually, it does. Leaving the thing original with as many numbers matching as you can while restoring it is better. There are not many of these pieces of art left. Why the f would anyone rip its guts out and destroy it? It's like adding LED lights to the Mona Lisa. Original destroyed. But look at how it glows, bro.
Monte Carlo’s have always had BEAUTIFUL lines ( accept the last ugly Lumina line that wasn’t worthy of the name plate) . My parents had a ‘70 and I owned a ‘78 and ‘84 SS . Wish I had the ‘78 back.
Near the same as mine. Mine is 390 tri-power (401 HP) with B/W T10 4 speed. Red 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL interior and Raven Black exterior. Vintage 5 spoke American Torque Thrust 15x7 wheels.
That car is stunning. The 67 model is a cleaner looking, more luxurious interior and has better mechanical improvements over the 66 model. Better door hinges, interior door locks mid door , collapsible steering column, dual master brake, heaver CV joints etc. just love those one year wheel covers.
Does it get better than a 63 with an LS motor? Nope

take the ugly oversize clown shoes off that beautiful car
Vintage or factory shoes only.
ThatvTire/Wheel combo is a Travesty.
As much as I despise giant hoops on nice cars, those are a stunningly beautiful fit on a gorgeous ride.
I will never have 1. But gosh I love them years Starliner. Prettier then a GM Bubble top.
FUGLY wheels.

What is up with the taillights? Sounds like the 401 FE in my 64 Galaxie fastback.
@davidkeeton6716, no 401 FE engine in 1964 Ford Galaxie.
Old school RULES STILL APPLY

There is no brat planned, other than fake articles/clickbait.

Always amazed me how these wonderful Chrysler's used such an archaic engine for so long. I get it...post WW2 .... just saying
I swear, they don’t get much better than this.
