      @alexhaur3229 as long as your shorts are big and baggy enough yes. Tight shorts won't be comfortable. Best worn over.

      @alexhaur3229 I tried the other phenom groin gaurd which was made out of textile fabric but upgraded to this one due to its full leather construction, which should last way long. Years even.

    Tolle Video Why did you buy the Smaller size? Your size is Medium (s 26-30, m 30-31,5. l 32-34) Is Sizing Guide wrong?

    • @MrRamsayKid
      @MrRamsayKid Місяць тому

      @alexhaur3229 No the sizing are pretty accurate, I went for medium as you can adjust it tight enough to conform to your waist. Where as small and large are too big and small. (If in doubt just try and send back)

    • @MrRamsayKid
      @MrRamsayKid 7 місяців тому

      If I recall, they got a measuring size chart on their website. Just measure your hands how they suggest and you should be good. Mines is a medium, slight movement, but as soon as I put wraps on. Perfect. So it depends on what you want, space for wraps or not...

      All the stitchings and leather held up fine, I was worried about the elasticated straps eventually breaking due to them being stretched quite a bit, but there holding up fine. Overall it does the job well, nice design, genuine leather, provides protection but not too much. Feels you with confidence to perform and its lightweight so it doesn't affect mobility. Good solid groin protection, saves you from low blows. Just make sure you get the sizing right as them elasticated straps won't last for ever, but there still holding fine with no signs of breaking anytime soon, so hopefully it doesn't. Appreciate you.

      @@MrRamsayKid just want to thank you for the response. i ended up buying the phenom groinguard and its quite nice. i will agree on the elasticated parts getting stretched a bit (mostly when putting it on/off) but a good piece of equipment overall. many thanks!

    Tested em on a wet road/grass run. Definitely not suitable for wet weather, water comes in through the puddles not alot but noticeable. After coming in the house my socks have wet spots. 4/10 for water resistant, slight resistant on the upper but not much. Non stop rain will eventually penetrate the uppers and seap into your socks. But I feel the water does wick away as your running so its almost drying as your running. But still great shoe and great run (just don't expect your feet to be bone dry when running in the rain) highly recommended the adidas terrex rain readys. THEY WILL NOT LET WATER IN. (Just after a year they seemed to get tight on my right foot)

      I'm going do another video soon. Alot to say but in short. There very firm foam gloves with hard padding. Which makes them suitable for heavy bag work and they shouldn't perish at all really. Really strong foam. BUT I noticed a indentation within the first few weeks, not sure if I punched a ring on the bag and it done it but either way its not going no where. Pros and cons: pros- Phenomenal styling, Phenomenal breathing capabilitys, real leather, beautiful colour ways, suitable for sparring and heavy bag, 16oz displayed clear, strong stable wrist strap, affordable, laces and velcro versions, stitching is Phenomenal and hasn't fraid or come loose yet. Cons- foam very firm (maybe too firm for everyone, so firm the first couple wears wore agony trying to wear them in) the wear in period is a on going process. Generally can't think of any cons really. Genuinely perfect glove in my humble opinion. Lovely quality and made local-ish.

    • @MrRamsayKid
      @MrRamsayKid Рік тому

      Ahh the worst thing about these gloves is the wear in process. I remember now, my fingertips wore killing me after sessions and knuckles because the gloves just so damn firm lol. But its honestly a good thing because the gloves should last years with proper care. But yeah the wear in period, painful lol

    the only thing to note about these is that the padding inside is not flat the humps at the stitches are even more pronounced in the inside then they are on the outside. Not a problem for pads and standard bags but, if your not wearing wraps and if your punching water bags, especially recoiling water bags or stuff that's really hard, the lumped lines of the padding dig in between your knuckles and they start to get bruised up. So if you like to go really hard, plan to use these as a switch up mid session to really get some serious hand conditioning in. Have some other gloves to temper your hands first, and then when your hands get to bruised. These are great, but if your a no wrap guy, looking for a one stop max-conditioning, minimal, skin protection go to, just know your inner knuckles are in for it! Also, I cut off the thumbs and removed the foam grip bars, way better! promise you won't regret the thumbs and if your really used to the grip bars you can reinsert them if you want, but you probably won't, helps you get a perfect grip. If your hands under 8in (20cm) length go small!

    I stumbled upon your channel by chance but there are a few things you could work on in regards to work on the Heavy bags. First is the implementation of the hook. In both the American and European versions of the hook punch, the punching arm is supposed to fully extend and curl inwards. At 0:25 I noticed that your hands are too close to the body, reducing the force that it could have. At 1:20 I saw that you were borrowing momentum from the swing to punch the bag. This is heavily unrecommended as it gives a false perception of your strength. Instead of punching the bag towards its trajectory try to punch it against its flow. Those are the main points I wanted to talk about but keeping a proper guard, not letting the hands slip under, and keeping a constant stance are also stuff that can be touched upon. Nice vid btw
