We are Devin and Lacey Bell. We are a married couple living in Kentucky, and along with our daughter Ava, we travel down to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida as often as possible (which is usually once, twice, maybe more times a year!). We are annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members with a home resort of Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Magic Kingdom Day & Fireworks Dessert Party! | Summer 2024

In today's video, we wake up in Animal Kingdom Lodge before heading over to Magic Kingdom to ride Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Under the Sea - The Journey of the Little Mermaid! We then take a Dole Whip and shopping break over at the Polynesian Village Resort. We head back to Magic Kingdom for a ride on Tron, and then back to AKL for a pool break. We head to Magic Kingdom one more time for our Post-Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party and stay a little bit after park closing for Deluxe Evening Hours to ride It's a Small World.

Happy Birthday to Jambo Villas House, they SHOULD change the name to SIMBA Animal Kingdom Lodge Animal Kingdom Lodge is TOO obvious, Josh D'Armo The head of parks and resorts SHOULD change the name to SIMBA Animal Kingdom and Simba Animal Kingdom Lodge, they NEED a NEW MAKEOVER ,THEY SHOULD take down the elephant head and put up the LION head up because the LION is King of the beast and majestic royal animal, Protocol says when entering the zoo, you SHOULD see the King FIRST because you're entering his domain, they SHOULD put a statue of SIMBA IN the lobby, Blessings and HUGS! 👑💜

Unfortunately, we are not the best resource for that. We’d never pretend to know what could trigger a condition.

@bellsindisney we had to fly to Disneyland because we're in PA and husband just had the weekend for our trip. Flying just kills the mood for me. The car journey to Disney is part of the magic.

Oh no…now the Yeti cooler is on my wish list 😂 If Yeti coolers can keep items cold for a road trip to Florida in the summer, they will work for my Disneyland trips. Have a great time!

It is definitely pretty chilly! Between the 50s-60s. The ocean was WAY too cold to enjoy, but the points costs for December are hard to beat!

For my 2025 Disney College Grad Vacation in July 2026, I've ordered The Disney Princess & Toy Story 4 Bo Peep Loungefly Mini Backpacks & I'm planning on ordering The Minnie Mouse, Frozen, & Frozen 2 Loungefly Mini Backpacks. What is the least crowded week to go to a Disney World? Is there an accurate crowd prediction website you recommend?
Most of September and December 1-24 tend to be good for crowds! I don’t use a crowd calendar to pick which weeks to go, but we use one to determine which parks to go to on which days. I use the Undercover Tourist one for that.

I dont pack near as much. I pack in carry ons. One for each member of my family. Then we each have a backpack. I guess Im sort of a minimalist. In the parks I use a fanny pack. I am this way because my Mom used to pack our family car with what my Dad used to joke was the, "entire house". Because Im the middle child it was my job to help load and unload the mini van.
We've learned that you just never know what kind of clothes you'll need for a winter trip in Florida! But minimalist is always best!
Also, most people probably don't take a Christmas tree and Christmas gifts with them on vacation, but that's just a special thing we do for our Christmas trips. :)

We spent Xmas day at animal kingdom and checked out that day for Caribbean beach for 4 days we loved animal kingdom so pretty but dark

How bad is June weather? Last time I went was January and weather was so nice. Did the weather really make a huge impact on your trip?
It was EXTREMELY hot. I think it impacted our trip because we were much more likely to take our midday breaks at the hotel and take dips in the pool. I would absolutely pack your own water with you into the park and keep snacks handy too! January weather is hard to beat!
