How To Make A Fused Glass Floral Bowl Using Reactive Glass
Переглядів 13 тис.2 роки тому
Stuck for ideas or need a little inspiration with your glass making? I walk you through the processes I followed making this fused glass bowl using reactive glass as a design element. A simple but effective design inspired by cow parsley, often considered a weed but very beautiful none the less. Adorable. Great job on your narration ❤
Beautiful! I also have a Skutt Firebox 14 and have only used the pre-set programmes for full and tac fuse . Can I use the tac schedule as a contour fuse?
No that won’t work, I use the bullseye recommended schedule. You should be able to find on their website. If you are in the UK you can also find on Warmglass website. 😊
I cannot believe I didn't leave a comment the first time I saw this! I loved your video, I enjoy all of your videos and hope to see more soon. I am getting into Modeling clay within the next few weeks and can hardly wait. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous project! ❣
Thank you so much!
This really annoys me. There is no such thing as scrap glass! It can all be used and it all has to be paid for!
@@CJGPickle exactly, thus the reason for the video as people often ask for ideas to use their off cuts.
nichrome loop.. very useful tip!
very helpful.. thank you very much!
Very very lovely xx
Love the plate
So pretty and so fun. Great tutorial ❤
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing ❤
Absolutely beautiful 👏🏼 Do you ever sell these? I would like to purchase some🤗
Thanks for the video, good clear instructions. Where can you buy the modelling glass?
That is so beautiful. Love the way the colors came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super projects!! Thank you for sharing!!
Absolutely Fantastic!
Wonderful !! Tank you ! ❤
Only just found this video, you are very good at explaining everything. Haven't used modelling glass in this way yet, have only used moulds for frit and freeze purposes, but obviously you can't cut them to shape. Hope you are able to do more videos.🤔
Beautiful
Beautyfull work❤
Can you paint over the modeling clay with Glassline paint?
Not sure never tried it but enamels work well. Regards
I’m so glad I watched this video because I literally just had TWO separate pieces crack and break yesterday! I had absolutely no idea why the would’ve cracked before I watched this video and your explanation of why your piece cracked fit perfectly as to why both my pieces cracked. Too many different thicknesses and not enough annealing time. Thank you for your help even though I didn’t know you would have the answer ❤
You are very welcome, I’d say annealing is the biggest challenge for glass making there are so many variables so better to air on the side of caution and anneal longer if in doubt. I’ve also had things crack ramping up the heat too soon. Bullseye glass videos have been an invaluable resource on my never ending learning journey. Have fun 😁
Thank you for your tutorial on some really creative projects! I enjoyed the video!
It’s still a beautiful piece even though you had to repair the crack. I like how you used several techniques on one project.
Many thanks, glass can be a bit unpredictable at times! 😊
Are you on Instagram? Would love to see more of your work. I follow fused glass enthusiasts on Facebook. I am a hobbyist but do sell in a small local craft shop. Happy NY
Hi there, presently I only have a personal Instagram account but I plan to set one up in time. Kind Regards
Gorgeous
Thank you very much Would you please write the names of powder light pink and green jade are they transparent and irid Thank you
Jade powder is Bullseye 0145.08, pink powder was 1215.08 but opal would probably work better - 0301.08. Regards Amanda
@@fusedglassalchemy2012 Thank you very much
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience with Modeling Glass!! Your videos are very informative and helpful. I have been trying to research this product before investing in it, but I can barely find anything about it. Your tips are invaluable and I look forward to learning more from your upcoming videos (:
You are very welcome, I used to work with clay and polymer clay so was attracted to modeling glass. I have lots more ideas but need to experiment first. 😊
Seriously cute
Many thanks
So cute!

These are lovely, thank you for sharing this tutorial and the links to purchase the products. I look forward to making one! What brand of mica flakes you are using?
I don’t know who makes them but I buy them from “WarmglassUK”. Kind regards
Very cute idea, thank you for sharing.
You are welcome 🙏
Nicely done. Clear instruction. THANK YOU.
You are welcome 🙏

Thank you I do hope to continue making more videos it’s hard work but good fun!
Adorable... thank you so much Great instructions
Well done!
Love them!!!
Lovely work as usual. Will give them a go. I might try using scrap glass as the base using a casting circle or casting mould. I have done a moon and planets piece before and used the silver stars that Warmglass sell. Thank you again 😊
Okay, those Ikea square tealight holders are genius. I love that idea, because I won't have to futz with gluing a piece of glass perfectly!
Yes very easy, just what we all like! 😀
Cast glass would be amazing, I love a mesh melt especially. Have fun! 😊

Loved this, very colourful and am amazed how you can visualise how it will all come out! X
Please can you tell me the temperature of the contour fuse. I have only ever done tack or full fuse. Thank you
Hi Penny, I tweak schedules a bit for my kiln but would recommend you use the attached link for Bullseye glass: warm-glass.co.uk/kiln-schedules-cms-74 Have fun!
