To be honest, I have not seen a solution to that. But a smart way to cheat that would be enabling stereo recording on the Rode Wireless Pro to have 2 audio channels even though the audio source is through a single XLR input.

@@HakimZziwaTips yeah I think rode makes any cable so the y cable and 2 xlr adapters should do the trick. Happy to see the eva1 in your video. I still rock one also but Ive replaced it with a bs1h simply becase a lot of my work is shot in open gate. The Eva image is better though

@@ChrisFlores22 Good to know though, thanks for the tip and yess I still rock with the EVA 1, good camera, bad PR for it from Panasonic who decided to invest in Lumix and other small form factor cameras, sad. BS1H is a good one too. That 5 yr older generation of Panasonic is gold for sure.

The drive is heavily supported by the side clamps themselves and the USB tightening clamp is a bonus to secure the USB-C cable from accidental disconnect, if I understood you correctly.

The NPF option still works for sure, I do carry it as back up on every shoot for sure, but with the recent more affordable mini v mounts, they more priority to me now, they did not exist at the time I made that video.

Sure man, I hear you, def PYXIS not for everyone at the same time not what most folks expected and I guess BM was looking more towards a certain demograph of filmmakers that would be able to benefit from that specific build. If they were did go ahead to put in everything 90% of what users expected then it would have been a much bigger camera in size. But I think the Nexus G1 might address some stuff that previous BM Pocket users have been yearning for.

@@HakimZziwaTips For me a third-party rehoused camera isn’t something I would ever buy. You never know how long a company like that is going to last or whether their quality assurance and assembly practices will be robust enough to haul around for years. Beyond that, the Pyxis is polarizing at the moment because it’s a Blackmagic style box camera, not a Red style box camera created with somewhat different use cases in mind. Some of us will love it, some will learn to love it, and others will pick up a different kind of camera, but I can say that it’s an excellent fit for my needs. We also need to keep in mind that the regular Ursa design will need a refresh as well now so that it better fits between the Cine 12k and the Pyxis. At the top of that list would be CFExprss B and hopefully a more compact body design (shorter but still large enough to fit an internal ND system) and the ability to use the new swapable mount design from the Cine. This year? Who can tell. But they cranked out a lot of new products in time for NAB. It wouldn’t surprise me if they could get something announced before the end of the year.

@@waveland for sure, getting in bed with 3rd party MOD companies requires some kind of mental preparation 😂😂, we shall see if they go ahead and pump the Nexus G1 into the market, last time I checked they were very confident about their commitment post PYXIS announcement. On the other hand these camera companies can play with our feelings as creatives when they release an "incomplete" camera and later release a better one few month later after people spend thousands, that is why a lot of us resorted to renting the "incomplete" camera for starters and not stay loyal to any brand until we feel maybe it is the right choice to invest in a specific camera. Either way we are existing in this wide complex web of camera uncertainity that requires continuous monitoring. The struggle continues....I appreciate the insights though.

With adaptor, yes. There is an EF to L mount on that set up.

I think that is where sony superseded the competition, however Panasonic focuses more on video features than audio either way, fact that Panasonic has the audio adapter is better than nothing for sure.

Photos, same thing.

I have seen it around but not tested it, I would honestly just choose the cage and handle that support the audio unit mounted directly to the camera.

Luve it! It is actually the sigma 18-35 rehoused, pretty versatile for super 35 sensors from the wider end and pretty sharp ofcs depending on what you are shooting.

More flexibility of sound options in post, means I can record with a boom mic, XLR Lav and 3.5 mm jack mics like rode wireless pro all at the same time with one other additional XLR channel if you will.
