Ok so my Honda EU70is had the same symptoms. Thanks to UA-cam narrowed down 3 possibilities (only run about 200 hours so unlikely to be something major, and I’m very careful about water getting into the fuel). Loose wire, oil cut off, or spark arrestor in the exhaust. Checked all 3 and despite the spark arrestor not looking too dirty, removing it has fixed my ongoing starting problem which has been getting worse. And it runs much smoother and quieter!

How did the horseflies trap work?

I can see your problems just by this picture. First one is setting out side in the bad weather and 2 it is not on level ground and will set off the low oil senser and it won’t start or start and shut off .

And if not on level ground it may set off the oil senser .
