That’s crazy because on lakes that I fish the trout eat flys in the morning (dawn until 8 or 8:30am) and then go into deep feeding mode during the day until about Dinner time 5 or so and then switch back to surface feeding on flys until around 9:30pm and then go to sleep or whatever they do at night.

Yeah , I been telling people that I've caught some of my biggest trout in muddy water after a rain. With a Rebel Craw. I believe the big , smart ones can feel the vibration and maybe hear the rattle. Kinda of the same you are talking about. I have some jerkbaits . I'll give them a try.

For me, Adults shouldn’t be fishing on Youth Day. If the sister was there catching fish then that’s the whole point. You don’t need to be targeting fish next to her. Just enjoy her fishing then. None of my family members actively fish their own rod on Youth Day.
