How to Add GPU Utilization in Task Manager (Windows 11)
Note: not all GPUs are supported by Windows Task Manager - if you have a super old GPU or are using integrated graphics, you may be unable to get the GPU utilization tab to work.
Uninstalling your graphics drivers entirely is a little sketchy, but your computer will function without one - you may only get one output to work, so just keep in mind things can get wonky. Getting rid of the redundant/overlapping drivers is paramount to it working in Task Manager though, so you'll have to go for it.
Always download drivers from the manufacturers website only!
Hope the video helped!

Does anyone else find it funny that you had to watch this video, to fix the video playback problem Chrome created. I had to watch this in Firefox. I think I'll just do that from now on anyway...
Thank you so much!
@@kimngan5728 glad it was helpful! Enjoy the multiple backgrounds! 😊
Legend! Thank you!
Appreciate you! Hope the build goes well.
Can I use PCIe 5.0 card in this slot? I've seen a couple of videos featuring this motherboard and people using PCIe 4.0 storage in this slot although the specs list PCIe 5.0 capability..... Was wondering if this is for technical reasons or just cost factor. I haven't upgraded PC for quite some time and some of this newer stuff is completely foreign to me.
I believe the one slot shown (under the large heatsink) is a 5.0 slot. You can run a 5.0 in a 4.0 slot (like the two under the cover by where the gpu goes), but it will just run at 4.0 speed.
@@howtotyler Great. Thank you very much.
thanks!
You just saved me was going nuts thanks
Glad to hear! Hope the build went well.
Thank you so much for this tip, it fixed the problem instantly ! ♥
Awesome! Happy to hear that. Thanks for the comment!
I can’t get the heat sink off!
Did you ever get this, I cannot get that screw to budge and really don’t want to break anything
That's a better clip than on my Elite AX ICE
what if i have 2 ssd
There are two additional m.2 slots underneath the motherboard cover - it is where the GPU would cover up, for reference. Take those screws off and you will see the m.2 ports. Thanks for watching!
❤
Appreciate you! Hope the build went well!
Brilliant - thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Helpful video, much better than the videos with hundreds of thousands of views.👍 Thanks!
Thank you! Really appreciate that, means a lot. Hope it helped!
@howtotyler I was looking for a video to send to less tech savvy sister🙂, and the algo recommended ones were terrible. I had to scroll down a few pages to find yours, but this was exactly the method I wanted to show her. Keep up the good work.👍
Thank you❤
Of course! Thanks for watching, hope the build went well.
i have legion go z1 extream 4 week purchased.when i received my legion go,preinstalled 22h2 original with home edition no issue animation laggy, recently updated 23h2,clicking start menu or open task manager anything else, little bit issue anination laggy,i turn off animation effect, little bit better my pc speed up.also chrome have issue cricle icon loading tabs slowly aninations i have great internet.
hi I have a question, can i install a second m.2 on this board and where do i install it?
Yes, you can! In addition to the one shown in the video, there are two more m.2 slots. You need to remove the little cover that is just under where the GPU installs. Take those little screw out and there are two m.2 slots.
can we install an aditional ssd slot for this?
Yep! You remove the little cover just below where the GPU slots in and there are two additional m.2 drive slots there. Install the drives and put the cover back on, you're good to go!
You are my life saver thank so so so so much
I'm glad the video was able to help you, thanks for the kind words! Hope the rest of the build went well.
God damn, thank you for this! I couldn't find an explanation anywhere until I came across this
Glad it helped you out! Hope the build went well. Thanks for watching!
Videos like these give me hope in humanity
Appreciate you!!! Hope the build went well. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I built a computer about 5 years ago, everything came with a manual detailing everything down the volts I should expect at the pings and what size screws go where and what type of "easy" connection there were. I am building a computer now, all the manuals are shit, description less pictures with no technical details. It is infuriating. Turns a half hour piece of cake with infinite troubleshooting ability into an hours long struggle with hoping that all the peices just work because if one of them goes wrong there is no detail to isolate the problem.
I feel that, but hey, they could save about 18 cents by not providing a good manual... I hope the build works out well, it will be worth it once it's up and running well! Thanks for watching.
@@howtotyler Thanks. I think I got incompatible memory, as long as I trust wht the MB POST LED indicates. Also, I have another type of "easy" connection for my nvme, it rotates instead of flips back. I should have made of video of it once I worked it out.
@@nustada It seems like these boards are pretty picky on RAM - I would try one stick in each of the slots, then add the second one until you can get it to post. I have ran into some really weird RAM issues building systems, sometimes just swapping the two sticks around does the trick as well. Good luck!
Just straight up what I needed, thanks. IDK why they didn't just explain it in the manual.
Glad to help! Definitely something that should have been in the manual. Hope the build went well!
I swear I was trying to push down on it and nothing happened LOL! Thank you, though!
Hah, I did the same, it took me a while to figure it out. Glad you got it, and hope the build went well!
@@howtotyler it's been awhile. I was getting confused a bit with the board layout trying to find where to plug everything. Had to pause so I could go and do dad duty stuff so I'll look up a manual for it!
@@xTheTamingx hey, dad duty is the important part! The front panel connections can be a bit of a pain, lots of tiny little wires, definitely not my favorite. Best of luck getting it up and going, I'm sure it will be awesome when you get it done! Cheers!
I am kind of newb to the building world and want to know how to install additional hard drives for extra space on this motherboard?
Hi there! There are two additional m.2 slots on the back of the motherboard for those drives. Install will be similar to the front one you see here - off the top of my head, I'm not sure if they use screws or these clips. If you want to install SATA drives, there are sata ports on the front of the board as well. You'll need a sata data cable and sata power from your power supply. Welcome to the PC community, we're happy to have you!
@@howtotyler thank you! I removed my GPU and found where the other NVMe SSD slots were. I just ordered one (: I was confused because I've seen other people use blockier looking hard drives and noticed my case does have a compartment for those in the back, but didn't know if I needed that or not.
@@adriefranco9332 Awesome! The "blockier" ssds are SATA drives, but you can definitely just use the nvme drives, they're very fast! Glad you got it all sorted out.
thanks bro
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and commenting, glad the video helped.
This didn't work, why am I not surprised. There's no thre dot menu over the shortcuts when I hover my mouse over it.
Sorry to hear the dots aren't coming up for you! Sometimes it takes 2-3 seconds before the dots appear, does the website/shortcut get highlighted when you hover over it? Hope we can get this working for you.
@@howtotyler it's highlighting but there are no dots never seen it do this before might be the new update they dont want you taking their suggestions off
@@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews That's really interesting. I am on the latest Chrome version on W11 - you can drag them around to reorder them, can you delete one if you add another shortcut? Maybe you are at a minimum amount of shortcuts?
it won't let me it shows the red slash icon as I'm trying to drag it to reorder and doesn't allow it
@@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews that is really interesting, I haven't seen that issue before. I would recommend trying to reset Chrome to default settings. I don't have a video on how to do that yet, but the steps are as followed - Click three dots in the top right corner Select Settings Select Reset settings Select Restore settings to their original defaults Select Reset setting After that, reboot Chrome and see if you are able to remove shortcuts. That's about the only solution I can think of at this point. I hope it works for you!!!
I don’t subscribe but this helped a lot earned a sub
@@kartoffel467 thank you so much!!! You're my 100th subscriber, that's a great milestone for me. Really appreciate you! 🤜
Much better than a screw in my opinion.
It is super easy once you know how to do it! A 2 cent sticker showing the tab being opened would do a lot lol.
Tyler my goat
Appreciate you homi! 🤜 Thanks for watching and gassing me up, I hope the build went well. 😎
Thank you so much. What a stupid little feature they added
Glad to help! Hope your build goes well. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate you!
thx bro.
Glad to help! Hope the build goes well 😎
But turning off graphics acceleration makes scrolling text stutter as if the refresh rate was lowered.
Sorry to hear that! Turning this option off shifts the video compute load to the CPU, off of the GPU. Are you running a lower-spec computer by chance? You can open task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) and see which part of the computer is hitting 100% utilization (or close to it) when it starts chugging. That would give you an indication of where the bottleneck is, at least. If the video stuttering issue is new, try clearing your cache/cookies, I've seen weird fragmented data from sites start to make video playback chug as well. Good luck, hopefully you can get things resolved! Let me know if you get it resolved.

You're welcome, thanks for watching! Glad it helped.
Damn, found this a month after my build and i ended up popping it right off lol this clip was about the only thing that bothered me during my build
Well that sucks, but I am glad the rest of the build went smoothly! I would think the heatsink would retain the ssd fine either way, honestly.
Omg lol I was about to trade someone mine because I thought it wasn’t compatible
Dang, glad you held onto it! I have been using it for a year now, it's been rock solid (knock on wood). Thanks for watching!
@@howtotyler thanks for the video bro, quick and right to the point 👍🏽 god bless
It did help, thank you. :)
Awesome! Love hearing that. Hope the build goes well!!!
Very helpful on the point of installing the nvme drive, though I'm still wondering about if there's a heat sink to install afterwards? Looking to buy a aorus ddr5 motherboard and want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Very good vid tho!
Yes, the heatsink goes on top of the drive.
Thank you
Glad to help! Thanks for watching - hope the build went well!
Also, peel the cover (blue) off the bottom of the heatsink that goes over your NVME drive!
I can’t believe they a) don’t include a printed manual anymore and b) they say nothing about this in the manual! Great video, thank you!
Glad to help! Hope the build went well!
@@howtotyler even the digital manual leaves much to actually be desired. I just built mine - oof. I had one cable misplaced - it bypassed the "if fan" turn on - so it would turn on and hit thermal throttle. Haha - found the problem quick and thankfully have a good PC - however, can't have the 6000MT/s CL30 run stable at 6000 - due to the mobo, even though it's the rev 1.3 and the most stable BIOS update.
@@DedTru-l8g Have you tried enabling EXPO and trying to set it to 6000 that way? Tbh I have seen a few RAM kits that just aren't happy at their max rated speeds. You can try swapping RAM slots on the mobo and test staility that way, too. Hope you can get it figured out!
@@howtotyler yeah - did the one button EXPO, the low latency etc. I made sure to get ones the MOBO "should've" been happy with G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (2x 16GB) DDR5 6000MHz C30 (hell, they were made in August). There's a massive reddit post about this DRAM issue and one bloke was testing a tone of variables, such as voltages etc and found that B1 and B2 most commonly were causing a fault. I am still running A2 and B2, just at 4800.
2 hrs looking on manuals and yt videos for this. Thank you so much! now I feel stupid...
Don't feel stupid! It's not a super intuitive design, I have built a ton of computers and it had me stumped for a bit, that's why I made the video! Thanks for watching, and I hope the build goes well!
