Grew up here in the 1960's and 70''s This just brought back a lot of good memories and some sad ones also. Worked on a riverboat after graduating high school and loved it for almost six years. Looking goodl You may want to invest in a rhode Videomic. Its a small microohone that you can use to get directional sound.

You might be able to eliminate the windwo glare with a neutral density filter for the camera you have.
