The Iceman himself originally sang this. He used to be a DJ for Phoenix rock station KZZP in the late '80s. In 1988, KZZP got together with one of the Phoenix nightclubs and threw a beach party. Sand was hauled in to make a volleyball court, and the guest of honor was Bob "Gilligan" Denver. Did anybody who's reading this happen to go? I did!

I found this searching for music in that old Windows Media Player, around 2005, 19 years later I finally found it again.

Holy moly, this has lived in my head rent free for THIRTY YEARS. I was 15 when these Nick at Nite promos were on. At 45 years old, I still remember and love them.

I love this so much. Just saw an interview with Suzanne Vega on Professor of Rock, thought about this parody, and had to comment. I loved this interstitial so much back in the day, it reminded me of old NIck-at-NIte (ike 1986-1990). This was 94-95, back in the "good ole days"!

What... I was a HUGE Mark Jonathan Davis fan all growing up (technically I still am: he is now more commonly known as Richard Cheese). I thought I had everything he'd done - just learned about this one. Well, it's going in the collection now. :D Very well produced, too, mashup-wise. That said, I see multiple comments about this living rent-free in my head for 30 years... talking about MJD and living rent-free: "At the star wars, star wars cantina... the weirdest creatures you've ever seen-a... music and blasters and old Jedi masters..."

People don't realize back then that it was a huge pain in the ass to cut clips from television and all that. We didn't have unlimited amount of sampling space back in those days. You really did some great work here. I missed most of this stuff. And I subscribed. Maybe, if things are really great you'll make some more tunes keep that up man. We all need a laugh.

This was the last Doctor demento song I heard that they stopped broadcasting it in Colorado years earlier that a friend of mine had family in Nebraska and he recorded this song when he was there. Cool. Didn't know you did this as well not
