I never add coconut oil, just 100% beeswax and fragrance oil. 😀

Thank you for this!! Because I am so allergic to coconut!! I wasn't really sure WHY or what the point was pf coconut oil if you use fragrance oil??

There are some that add coconut oil, I personally don't, BUT not all beeswax is the same as it can depend on the nectar flow and location that the bees were that made the wax. Also some wax melters don't have a strong enough bulb or maybe even need to have their bulb replaced to keep it at its full melting strength. Also some that don't use a bulb may not be a strong enough wattage/voltage for melting beeswax. I lean towards a stronger wax melter to assist with melting beeswax since overall beeswax is a harder wax and has a higher melting point.

What type of beeswax candles are you making? Pillars? Container candles?

i'm making tealight beeswax candles and I'm also have trouble with the wicks. when i burn the candle the wick burns too fast and the beewax ends up "pooling" in the middle. any suggestions for what to look for when I purchase wicks?

@@diegooland1261 the video was for tealight candles. Pillar candles are a bit different and also depend on the type of mold you’re using. Silicone or metal? I pour a different temperature for each mold type. For silicone molds I pour hotter and for metal molds I pour at around 155.

@@WildHarvestCandleCompany We're using silicone molds, about 3.5 x 2 inches. It's still quite cool where I live, about 70 degrees today. Does the ambient temp effect drying/tunneling? It looked so good right after the pour but as it began to cure it just tunneled. We're also concerned about the wax we have. We just went on amazon and got beeswax. I'm guessing like everything else, there is a difference.

It’s the ToAuto melter. I purchased it off Amazon. They have a couple different sizes. 😀

Yes, you can make them without any fragrance oils. You will only have the natural subtle scent of the beeswax the way the bees made it. I make them with 100% beeswax and then add my fragrance oil of choice.

@WildHarvestCandleCompany Awesome , do you know if they will be difficult to melt etc?

@@jessicamenchaca4970 I do recommend to opt for a wax warmer equipped with a 35 watt bulb or a warmer that is stronger for melting beeswax melts. The higher melting point of beeswax requires a warmer with higher temp capabilities for optimal performance. :) I also recommend adding no more than 2 cubes at a time to melters.

It can depend on how full the tank is with wax but for me generally 30 min to 1 hour and the wax is melted!
