I will be playing games designed for the Quest 2, 3 or 3s and purchased ONLY from the Meta Store or the Meta App Labs. (No side Quest or other 3rd party gaming download platforms. At this time, I have over different 500 games to show you.
I've been playing VR for 4 few years now and really enjoy playing solo or with my wife & friends from all around the world. I'm now over 60 but have been playing VR since my late 50s. This page is designed to help those 50 and up to decide if these are games that you may be interested in purchasing for yourself.
This will be an inside look into playing the games, winning in difficult areas of a game and also playing the game until the end and winning it. I'm not a "gamer" just an average old guy having fun. My last gaming system was the Atari 2600 back in the late 70s and early 80s.
I also do not have any editing software or scripts, so you get what I see and do every time.

Brink Traveler is less of a "game" and more of a lifetime experience. This app allows you to travel to travel to so many beautiful, outdoor locations that most people never have a chance to see in person.

I just got a notice a few days ago (after this was recorded) that they added several newer free locations to visit.
I’m considering buying the Meta Quest 3 but have a concern about potential dizziness. Specifically, I’m wondering if the sensation of the table and surrounding scenes moving around, compared to real-life static scenes and tables, might cause discomfort. What has been your experience with this issue?
Some people do have motion sickness when they try on any VR headset. My wife was that way at first. She could only play for about 10 minutes then she would get headaches & things. I created a video about a month ago, (between vid between review 22 & 23) where I combined what I learned about controlling or even stopping Motion sickness. It is also written out on the corresponding FB page to this UA-cam Channel) It worked for my wife and now she can play for at least an hour before the headaches begin. The first step is to start with VR games that your character does not really move at all. You stay in one place and maybe turn your body left/right to play part of the game. The game "bait" is perfect for this. You can sit in your real-life chair, while playing the game sitting in a chair. You cast out and reel in fish. The next step up would be Real VR Fishing. You stand on shore to fish until you get into the upper levels (16 to 20) where you will be on a boat. Now the boat doesn't move, but the water does and can possibly cause some discomfort. Most people can overcome motion sickness after a few times playing. Some may take a little longer. If you stop playing for a period of time (possibly a week, two weeks or more) you may experience mild sickness, but will once again gain back your ability to overcome it. Thank you. In the 80's & 90's I was busy working three jobs, starting my own business and living life as an adult to be able to play video games. I went from the Atari 2600 in 1977 to 1981 to the Quest 2 in 2020 and now to the Quest 3. I missed all the fun gaming units in-between. You could be correct about Double Dragon. Is that the one where they yell "FINISH HIM" ?

We hope everyone has a happy holiday season and a great New Year! I will be using the Quest 3 to record my reviews starting in January 2025.
I will be reviewing this game later in 2025 hoping that the game will have progressed further in development. For now, it is still being created and selling at a cheap cost. I believe this game has great potential to be a phenomenal game. When I see a new upstart game like this that I think will be something big in the future I buy it and hang on to it as it gets upgrades and eventually finished. The closer to being finished the higher the price will get so jump in the shark tank now before Meta moves it into its store and jacks the price up.
RESPECT TO JEFF, as a gamer in my 40s, I have been smashing buttons since the atari. I agree that this perspective is lacking in the gaming community. I hope this catches on and gets into the rhythm. I Subscribed! Good Luck, bud

I have no age limit to joining and have several who are much younger but enjoy the open and honest reviews as well as seeing the game actually being played instead of video provided by those who made the game. I went to the Mall of America today and found the JAWS pinball machine in a bar. I played several games and even won two with a match and completing a task. This was a more modern version. The video screen on the back board was no longer one of those awful highly pixilated 70's screens and replaced by actual video from the movie.
So is it good or not?
Both my wife and I really enjoy this game. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this a 7 even though it is not a finished game yet. I've gotten to the point where it has become very difficult to play, and I enjoy the challenge. For the low price it is (was) it definitely is a game to get if you enjoy bow & arrow games.

Wouldn't you think for $500 they could put a comfortable headstrap on the thing?
You would think, but Zuckerberg is your typical billionaire, who no matter how much money they have, it's never enough. From what I understand is that they were losing money when they sold the Q2 as a way to get people into VR and get us hooked. Then they created the Q3 with a high price and it did not sell as well as expected so they lowered the price a little as well as invented the Q3s as the new "started" headset, as well as dropped the age limit from 13 to 10 to fool parents into buying it for their little children. If they added a decent scrap, they would have to charge even more than they do now. They also found they make the money up by selling things inside the game. Upgrades, avatars, weapons, etc...
@@OldGuyVRGamesReviews Sounds like Zuck hired the marketing geniuses from Blizzard to parachute in and figure out how to make him some more cash. When you're asking for an absolute premium price for your product, you better damn sure be delivering a premium product. My son in law tells me he couldn't even wear it for one full battery charge without feeling painful pressure points and developing a headache. Couple that with the fact that I've yet to see any footage of someone playing with it where there isn't some kind of annoying glitchiness? So I'll keep my money in my pocket and wait for them to get this thing fully market ready.
@@ronlawrence5021 : I seldom have any "glitch" problems when I play. Most of these glitches are the results of internet connections (WIFI) New games will sometimes have glitches because it is new, and the programming hasn't been worked out yet for all the different VR headset companies. Normally they get those fixed quickly (depending on the developers) Many people use Sidequest or other third party, non-Meta store games to buy games and sometimes the programming don't communicate correctly with the servers or headsets. I only buy from the Meta store or the Meta app lab and rarely have problems. VR is not for everyone, but for my wife and I, we enjoy it and play most every day. We've even taken it on vacation with us.
@@ronlawrence5021 I absolutely love mine. I haven’t experienced any glitches. The strap is uncomfortable but it got better once I adjusted it to fit more comfortably. [edited for typo]
@@firehorsewoman414 Glad to hear that Fire. I don't care for the simplistic cartooney thing, and I've seen too many videos where the software really struggles to integrate reality with virtual reality. I'm still going to hold out for the next generation.
