I was a in the order as well. I kept contact with the nuns and told them about her, and her story. This woman had a really high position within the congregation and was highly respected as a nun.

I just finished reading your book, it was such a well researched, well written and heartfelt account of what your father, aunts and grandparents went through. I saw Gene in a UA-cam video and he was such an amazing speaker, I was so invested in his story… I googled him and found your book. Thank you for sharing their story.

After 35 years of abuse suffered at the hands of my family. I finally went to family court for help. I am petrified to hear that this judge is the person that holds my destiny at hand. She not once mentioned wanting to help families or mediate family court. All the problems she mentioned stem from issues in families. I'm horrified to hear it doesn't sound like she knows anything about family conflicts. She was not sympathetic to my situation at all. It takes a lot to speak out after a lifetime of abuse. No one wants to go to court against their parents but these things happen. She was less then enthused that I had a history with my family that makes ME look bad and didn't even hear my side of how those things came to fruition. I'm genuinely petrified to appear at my preliminary hearing.

And by the way... The couple who brought the cats actual shelters were doing those cats a kindness! They were giving them something that was a windproof and waterproof that there was no moisture seeping up from the ground what you are saying is crazy! We do not put cats out 24/7 who can adapt to living in a home and bond with a I worked in a shelter and no shelter adopts a cat out to someone with the idea that they will not be inside a home in fact it is a condition of adoption at shelters that the cats and dogs will be welcome into the home and have full run of the home
