This video is outdated and needs to be updated ESA's are not allowed the same place service dogs can go service animals can only be dogs or miniature horses
Horribly abused incarceration 17 days. Need legal help in Yakima. Thank you for your service. 💕
I've been denied access to my local mc donalds play area because of my service yak! the OUTRAGE!!!
Get your staff vaccinated or get rid of them!
Why are you allowing anti-vaxxers to work among these vulnerable veterans?!
Animals Don’t belong in public business 🤦🏾♂️
You need to be more empathetic to others. A blind person uses a service dog literally to see and guide the handler and without that service dog that person looses their independence and that leads to a plethora of possible other issues,
@@annahamilton6141 not talking about seeing eye dogs. But the only emotional support not a solid enough excuse. Especially during a pandemic. Sorry
This needs to be played in every business training program
I'm Swedish, and I am very impressed!
it had vary nice people
How do people know if it's a companion animal if you can't ask ?
You ask is that dog required because of a disability? Yes should be the answer. What task/tasks does the dog perform to mitigate your disability? If told medical or mental alert dog. That's acceptable. If the answer is comfort or companion. That's wrong answer. That's an ESA aka as a emotional support animal according to the ADA laws they don't have public access rights.
ESA’s DON’T have public access!!!! Oh my god, this pisses me off so much. There is almost NO true facts. God, educate yourself before making something.
The only two animals that can legally be service animals are mini horses and dogs. It is not just any animal. I wish they were more educated before making this. Then again, I’m only like a minute of two in and I’m seeing false info already...
Actually, some states do allow I other species as service animals, like Ohio and Wisconsin.
So if there is a training program then why wouldn't you want to show that proof just to avoid any hassles? How could the public or should the public just be forced to believe strangers are telling the truth?
for the same reason you can't ask someone to show proof that they NEED a cane or a wheelchair. the service animal is not a pet, it's a disability aid. therefore, you can't ask someone why they need it or to prove it.
@@megan9097 Yes but, wheel chairs and canes aren't alive.
@@megan9097 This is the great debate that a lot of a lot of people who FAKE illnesses or use PETS as Service animals are AFRAID of. So, answer this question, ARE you or ARE you NOT supposed to have your Service Dog vaccinated? IF you don't have the animal vaccinated properly, can you be denied access? If not, you should be.
Because training papers aren't proof hundreds of trainers with different papers and there Is no national service id so fake papers are easy for fakers and a hassle for someone actually disabled.
There are training programs, but you can also owner train a service dog. I personally couldn't afford the large one time fee from a program, but can afford the fees over a large period of time. Therefore I went the owner trained route. Just because I did does not mean that my dog is not a service animal nor does it make me any less disabled. If people from programs show papers or the government makes it required to have program papers many people would no longer be able to have a service animal or have a semi-normal life. I hope this helped with misinformation on the subject.
It can NOT be any animal! Its either a dog or a mini horse/pony
Different states have different laws. This video is in washington
@@sarahasbury6608 This WHY the US Government is going to have to make BIG changes that the TRUE Service Dog owner is going to have to have thrust upon them. The US Government will indeed make laws for EVERYONE most likely that will have to be abided in every state to control the onslaught of fake service animals. Watch, it will happen sooner than you think .
@@sarahasbury6608 Ada, trumps state law
@@sarahasbury6608 federal law states that it can only be mini horses or dogs
Fake check the new laws
Service animals r on the ground nit in the shopping carts or carried around. Yes u get real certification ur animal is a service animal. The laws are now being INACTED as if 2019.
KJ Stewart There’s no service dog “registration” or “paperwork”. Those are mostly scams, and regardless not required. Some service dogs are carried depending on the circumstances. It’s a general rule that a SD is not in a cart but it’s not a slated law
@@jakem749 U R do wrong service animal is on the floor or ground. Not held. Yes there is paper proof.
KJ Stewart The ADA does not mandate registration for service dogs, they are not required to wear any special vest, carry any paperwork or identification cards. Secondly, there are service dogs that at times are held, I.e. a chest pack for certain disabilities.
@@kjstewart4003 No there is NO GOVERNMENT "paper proof" ALL those websites that have what you claim as "proof" is not "proof" However, it's due to misinformation like yours with the mindset that you can get this "proof " you claim and suddenly should be allowed to take a dog into a business while proclaiming it's an owner-trained dog which is GOING to end up ruining it for the TRUE service dog owner. Because of all this garbage where people like you pay a fee for NOTHING because that proof you claim allows you to bring your SD where ever you please is HARMFUL to the true SD owner. OF course there are overzealous SD "owners" that love to present their dog in a business with no vest, and wait patiently for someone to ask questions and they get off on throwing their knowledge around. While I support TRUE service animals there are "holes" in the ADA that will eventually end up making it more difficult for the TRUE SERVICE ANIMAL owner. The country is over-run with the "supposed" service dog who has "proof"...which is bullshit. Stop trying to convince ppl you know something you don't.
Under ADA law there is no legitimate proof of your dog being a service dog. No ID cards, no certification or registration. The dog must be task trained to aid their handlers disability. I train service dogs along with being a handler. I’m very educated on the laws and rules. Please make sure you’re 100% right before saying things. You don’t want to spread false information.
The thumbnail IS WRONG!!! No, you are not supposed ask "What's your disability?" I find that rude, if someone said that to me. But THERE IS NO LICENSING!! THERE IS NO PROOF!!!!!Be educated before say anything.
Simone Shull First that’s rude
Simone Shull just say condition not disability, saying that specific word is annoying and identifying that you have limited use or doings on anything
@Loulou Bos a dog license maybe, yes, not a license proving that theyre a service dog...
a better question would indeed be to ask what tasks the dog performs instead of asking about disabilities
I am a 100% service connected, permanent and totally disabled Veteran. I was admitted to my local VA Hospital and was told I could not have my service dog as an in patient. I was in a private room with a private bath and I could take him to do his potty and I had his food and supplies. I had to sign out an against medical advice and seek treatment at a civilian hospital. I was told I was not really a veteran because I served post Vietnam but pre 9/11, so my service does not count.
you should file a complaint with the DOJ (department of justice) they can get fines for such behavior...
It is 100% against the law to separate a patient from a animal. Even if it is for emotional support. They are n9t suppose to separate you from your service animap
