Who said that everybody who drives an expensive car thinks they're better than everyone else, wants respect, or wants everybody to like them? As a car enthusiast I can say that I want to keep my car life mostly private, working on cars and driving them makes me happy and has nothing to do with materialism and I believe many others feel the same way

This has to be ragebait right? Cars are probably the biggest motivation to young people who chase the bag. It's incredible how you're trying to talk these people down on achieving their dreams. You might not care at all, but they care and they absolutely shouldn't take your opinion into consideration. Seems like pure jealousy to me for those who have achieved such cars at a young age.

I just love muscle cars. I dont care about what other people think about me. Im not materialistic i just like em more than other vehicles. In my price range so i dabble in them.

Car guys care... People who are passionate about things. You obv don't get it but that's ok you probably have different passions in life. Happiness isn't contained in financial stableness or in being a billionaire or being on a farm etc. Your perspective of materialism lacks depth, You do not get attached to materials but that doesn't mean you cannot enjoy the finer things in life. As long as you don't let those things control you or are attached to them, You are not materlistic for owning a nice car. It's all about perspective my friend.
