if passcode is 1234 then 1 (134 any ammount they not reset) 2 (124 anu ammount they not reset) 3 (123 anu ammount they not reset) 4 open sesame only 1234 matter but between can push those other button when pin is low and it connect clock pin that allready is low. nothing happen so you can push (1)134141(2)242412(3)321213(4) amd it work this is example movie door lock. open keypad hook power to any pin and test. if you hook pin 10 open sesame. none of other pins actually not matter to make wrong passcode work with those 1234 need hook that button to reset with inverter if pin is low then its wrong number and it reset. meaning pullup resistor to and feed gnd to other buttons. then pushing wrong key that is low change reset pin state and reset if it correct key then high not do nothing than step to next. if that not work we need invert that wrong 0 button to high and use same circuit. now its better keypad only actual 1234 works so basically 4 input NOR gate with transistors and all input pullup. all input high it send LOW to reset like it is but when LOW from wrong sequence button come it send HIGH ro reset

3247 are pin number from chip pin3 is output0 ->button2v(this is high after reset or turn circuit on so this is first digit button) pin2 is output1 ->button1 pin4 is output2 ->button3 pin7 is output3 ->button4 pin10 is output4 ->button5 OR this case its open sesame xD so your passcode is what button you connect those pins not matter there no labels LOL and sequence not matter if push only those numbers you eventually get it correct if passcode is 2134 you can push (134*)(2)(234*)(1)(214*)(3)(213*)(4) * means you can hit those many times it not make any diff it wont reset. so passcode is *2*1*3*4
there is a one mistake in a circuit diagram 5:43 there is 51 k resistor instead of 51 r in receiver circuit in ht 12 decoder ic ocillator pin

Is 150r on pin VT of receiver necessary? I watched other tutorial video where this pin is not used and it still works.
