Hi 6 years later for a answer oooopsies Yep part exchanged the bird for the vfr1200 I loved the bird but.....without paying out on bar risers I kept getting a lot of pain in my elbow But I always said if they ever made. Vfr1200 I would jump on it Which I absolute love Again sorry for the long delay in answering 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

Thanks for the feed back mate I appreciate ur help, I'm 6'2" also and have suffered the same trouble with my blade I was hoping that the blackbird would make life easier while still being a really quick bike but I think I'm just kidding myself lol but I will def take ur advice mate and have a good run out on both bikes, i'll let u know how I get on, ride safe my friend and thanks again for ur help!!!!

Hi ozzy thanks for the checking the vids out :) I love the bird and I don't think I would have changed so soon as I did but for me I'm 6;2 and I found I got enormous pain n my left elbow due to leaning forward too much, maybe it's just me being fit lol But I suppose its all in preference now I'm on the viffer I do love it I have had teething trouble with it but thats what ya get when you buy new I suppose, My answer is test ride both do 100 plus on them then let me know which you decide on

ive got a 2003 blackbird only mods on it are scottoiler and a meta alarm immobiliser didnt feel the need for anything else the bike is perfect, and only done 9000 miles so many years of riding left in her...

I have a 99 model, too and the old dash looks better in my opinion. ^^ It's just sick to watch the speed needle freakin' out when you're entering the Autobahn and the speedo is shouting to you: "300!!!" :D

Do you have a chance to try 2012 DCT model? I have 2010 DCT model and I don't know is it worthy to sell it and get 2012 model.. Also I love the DCT model but manual is cheaper so maybe i will get that one. And my recommendation is to change the exhaust because it is toooo quiet for city ride.

sold mine now mate.... I now have the new VFR 1200 in Black :)

Not had chance to compare the 2 yet due to the British weather and the new tyres, but off out for a blast tomorrow so will update further after my ride! :)

Its beautiful! We don't have the Black in America yet! So I have red. I plan to change the plastics, when that color arrives Stateside. How does the torque of the V4 compare to the thrust of your Blackbird? Was the Blackbird still faster?
