At Embracing Brokenness Ministries we’ve been called to bring the gospel of healing available in Jesus Christ to a broken world.
Our desire is to walk alongside each person in our sphere of influence but predominantly - through teaching, discipling, equipping and encouraging groups and individuals who have shown a sincere desire to find a new path.
The challenge is to embrace the broken places in ourselves. The wounded and traumatized places where life-altering experiences have occurred through the influence of others or through our own choices. Healing from those wounds comes only through a posture of intimacy with God. One that allows Jesus to step into those hurts and re-interpret life from His vantage point, calling out our true identity as Child of God.

This is too broad to be applicable to anyone. And also backed by what?

A LOT of MISINFORMATION.. Although yes, the world is more self focused due to social media and the aspect of individualized culture being more valued than a collective culture, also in part due to capitalization and privatization of markets--- I don't know WHERE you're getting the latter* half about "don't care about anyone else." You are missing the point of the more valuable spiritual lesson here... That you can only give to others what you give to yourself i.e., trust, respect, positive speech, acceptance, love, etc. The idea of taking better care of yourself is so that you can live a better quality of life; thus, will teach by example by living a fulfilled authentic life (as opposed to fake nice, sycophantic, or people pleasing). 1st*ZocDoc is a Great App for finding therapists folks- or any doctor for that matter, after putting your info in, it searches in network too. There's also Peer Support specialists, life coaches, and free group communities like Al-ANON, SAMHSA... etc etc. 2nd- your algorithm is tailored to you. Try making a new Gmail account and getting outside your own confirmation bias. 3rd. - this issue started in the 80s you're a few decades behind. Hollywood and corporate America REWARD antagonistic, narcissistic behaviors, but we are all sick of this (and misogyny), and the idea is: In a culture so focused on the individual, asking/doing the work of self reflection: How can we make ourselves better: ultimately helps everyone that comes into contact with that person as they become the best version of themselves.
You are a bit late! Moral degradation started a few years ago and we are reaching the endpoint of humanity now. Refer Noam Chomsky.
Moral degradation started by our choice in the garden of Eden. Evil reached a pinnacle prior to the great flood and the Bible says that level evil will exist before Christs return. We may be close to that happening.
I think you're spot on when it comes to Christians. The in-group / out -group, anti-woke, "I'm a victim" movement has really brought out the worst in people. Anti-woke leaves no room for any feeling of obligation to help others who aren't in your in-group. For the spiritual but not religious or New Age Thought (NAT) crowd, there isn't the same selfishness. They lean a bit more towards socialism, so there isn't the same disdain for putting the good of the group above the good of the individual. Atheists, interestingly, often consider themselves humanists. While that's not entirely socialist the way the spiritual/NAT group is, it's not as socially selfish as the anti-woke religious right is. The reasons for not having children are telling. Non-Christians who don't want children are prioritizing the child's best interests as a reason. E.g., this world is a mess and I'm not able to make enough money to provide a good life here on this planet now. But for Christian women who are avoiding kids, it's because the patriarchy places too much responsibility for "women's work" on women. So when a woman is working and married to a Christian man - who she knows won't help enough to keep her life from becoming miserable - it makes a lot of sense to avoid having children. I wouldn't call this selfish though. It's more self-preservation in light of an unfair set of expectations. The selfishness is from the men who want to maintain spoiled patriarchal roles, which doesn't work when women are responsible for half of the family income. Non-Christian men are far better husbands and fathers because they are better at being real partners together, sharing family responsibilities and respecting women as equals. All of my friends have figured out that the more Christian a man is, the worse of a bf or husband they are. The shift of young men (but not women) towards wanting to be in a more conservative patriarchy is hurting men's prospects for dating, marrying and having children.
If you get a chance and you like to read, read the toxic war on masculinity by Nancy Pearcey. The data on men who are true Jesus followers have the most satisfied wives, including sexually, because they understand the partnership God intended for marriage. There role is to serve their wife. I am grateful that Steve and I have that kind of marriage. However cultural Christians who do not commit to actually follow Christ can make the worst husbands as the use patriarchy for some really bad behavior.
While I understand what you're saying and it's a good point, your title seems to use the incorrect modern assumption about what narcissists are since your discussion focuses on self-centeredness and over use of therapy and coddling people's sensitive emotions (today's "snowflakes" as some call them). While that can be displayed in narcissistic behavior there's a whole lot of other and more sinister traits actual narcissists display. So I watched your video thinking your video was going to talk about actual narcissists, not just general selfish and selfcentered people in this current culture. Dr. Ramani and Dr. Les Carter have very detailed and thorough videos educating others about narcissism and how to handle those that are in your life. Unfortunately I've had several of these people in my life so I'm trying to learn as much as possible about this specific evil, especially from a Biblical perspective.
That’s a great story. Can you demonstrate that a god could possibly exist?
The Christian claiming Jesus Christ followers but that's not true because Jesus Christ is never crucified to the cross the crucifixion word is came from the demons Jews. And also the jews is the enemy of Jesus Christ it's means all of their statements is not true. According to the Bible at the verses Hebrew 5. 8. Jesus Christ is never crucified to the cross. The right term name of the people claiming Jesus Christ followers is crucified man to the cross followers not Christian followers. Cool 😎
I locked myself into my room after my wife died and cried out to God asking him to show me He was real. I said I'll open the Bible and whereever it opens I'll open my heart. I closed my eyes and randomly opened it to John 14:9 Jesus replied "Have I been with you all this time, Philip and yet you still don't know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! I cried and then devoted my life to Christ. My name is Philip.

So much I can relate to on so many levels from this podcast…the thing that really hit home for me is when Todd said “I’ll follow you Jesus but I hate your people “…some of my worst betrayals have come from people in the church…I love Jesus but I don’t love how some people in the church have represented him…feels more like a social club…full of cliques and clans…I don’t go to church to follow people so screw all you Jesus social clubs!!…l love hearing the gospel without all the religious pretense and all the drama and acting that goes on in the church…thank you from the bottom of my heart dear brothers…I love both of your ministries may God richly bless you…Todd’s ministry has spoken more to me than lately than anything else

How can people even think an ancient “just so” story is historical? Do they think the Rhinoceros got crumbs from the Parsee’s cake inside his skin?
That character named "the lord" sounds like an insecure vindictive cunt.
Well we have to look at what the enemy did and ask ourselves, did they take over all of mankind with deception in the ancient world? Yes? Okay, what was Gods response? And if God intervenes, how could we not know what Gods response was? If a literal switch occurred from humanity tricked into believing in the forces AGAINST our Father to humanity believing IN our Father, how could this switch have taken place if God did not intervene? The switch occurred, that can never change because it already happened. The only argument would be that the switch never occurred and it was one big continued deception, but how could the enemy continue without God overthrowing it? This is like saying the forces of hell intervened but the forces of heaven simply don’t, that the forces AGAINST God intervene but the forces OF God don’t. It’s nonsensical. The truth is unchanged after it already occurred, and the truth is a switch took place. We are dealing with a foe with a LONG overthrown deception, A LONG overthrown triumphal deception. This simply would not be the case if God never intervened. And if the enemy intervenes then God does. You can’t have black without white. This is simple actually because Deism only works if you remove what the enemy did too. If you know what the forces of hell did then by default it’s absolutely impossible to not know what the forces of heaven did IN RESPONSE. You would have to never have existed. It’s like looking at a dark room and turning on the lights and wondering if the lights are actually on. If you knew that the room was dark then by default you know the opposite occurred. Thus God’s intervention in response to the forces against God intervening.
I miss your passionate teachings. Hopefully I'll be back in or near Lancaster in mid to late November. Homesick in Florida.
@@richardburns3543 we miss you brother. Stay in touch.
If people will take the time to study the realist metaphysics of St Thomas Aquinas, they’ll discover the balance and realism lacking in pantheism and Buddhism while giving science its due (rather than denying its proper autonomy within an integrated system))

The short answer is yes. Protestant sects are not the Church.
No its not from America. Ita was written in Malachi 1:11 Zechariah 8:7
“What I relate is the history of the next two centuries. I describe what is coming, what can no longer come differently: the advent of nihilism! Nihilism stands at the door: whence comes this uncanniest of all guests? 1. Point of departure: it is an error to consider 'social distress' or 'physiological degeneration' or, worse, corruption, as the cause of nihilism. Ours is the most decent and compassionate age. Distress, whether of the soul, body, or intellect, cannot of itself give birth to nihilism (i.e., the radical repudiation of value, meaning, and desirability). Such distress always permits a variety of interpretations. Rather: it is in one particular interpretation, the Christian-moral one, that nihilism is rooted. 2. The end of Christianity-at the hands of its own morality (which cannot be replaced), which turns against the Christian God (the sense of truthfulness, developed highly by Christianity, is nauseated by the falseness and mendaciousness of all Christian interpretations of the world and of history; rebound from 'God is truth' to the fanatical faith 'All is false'; a Buddhism of inaction). 3. Skepticism regarding morality is what is decisive. The end of the moral interpretation of the world, which no longer has any sanction after it has tried to escape into some beyond, leads to nihilism. 'Everything lacks meaning' (the untenability of one interpretation of the world, upon which a tremendous amount of energy has been lavished, awakens the suspicion that all interpretations of the world are false). Buddhistic tendency, a kind of yearning for Nothing. (Indian Buddhism is not the culmination of a thoroughly moralistic development; its nihilism is therefore full of morality that is not overcome: existence as punishment, existence construed as error, error thus as a punishment- is a moral valuation.) 4. Philosophical attempts to overcome the 'moral God' (Hegel, pantheism). Overcoming popular ideals: the sage; the saint; the poet. The antagonism of 'true' and 'beautiful' and 'good'." ~ Friedrich Nietzsche (1888)

Thanks for the question. Abiding in Christ (staying plugged into the vine, God) is the best solution to neutralizing the enemy's effort to war against us. Knowing Him and His voice, not the enemy.
