Iga is more efficace and sabalanka is more consistent
💞🦾💣 > WOW > COCO STILL WINNING WITH HER POWERFUL FOREHAND 🎉🎉🎉
@@jamessewell2672 She used that shot well against Zheng in the WTA final! 🔥
Sabalenka has a higher ceiling but Iga is more consistent
@@xabisombilini5440 Exactly! Iga has been consistent, but Sabalenka is finally starting to fulfill her potential. She was always seen as a player who could dominate the women’s game and win multiple Slams
Both ladies are incredibly! However, I picked Aryna because of her aggressiveness and determination to win.
@@joyceblackwood9335 I understand where you're coming from. Her power is on another level very few players can handle it! When she’s fired up and determined, it’s impossible not to feel pumped up watching her.
So according to you Iga has no determination to win having 5 grand slams and WTA Finals?
Both ladies had an incredible season by any measure. However, I’d say when Coco lost this season, I feel it was always due to herself and her double faults. The end of the season seemed so much better with her confidence and her new coach. If Coco can get her double faults cut in half in 25’, I fear she will go in a tear and win a slam and possibly many 1000 titles. Zheng is a great player but I feel she always crumbles in the big moments sans the Olympics. She has the ability but maybe not the experience. Hopefully she continues to do well and we see many more matches between the two.
@@Lederius18 Exactly! She absolutely needs to cut out those double faults, it’s crazy to think she has way more double faults than aces in 2024 stat. If she could cut them in half like you’ve said, there’s no doubt she could win multiple majors and dominate the Masters 1000 events. It’s not like she can’t compete with top players like Swiatek and Sabalenka in baseline play. The WTA Finals showed that Sabalenka’s power doesn’t bother her. Most of her issues seem to be mental; she just needs to stay disciplined and composed under pressure. Yeah with Zheng, it really comes down to gaining experience. Hopefully, she can learn from her defeats in the Australian Open final and the WTA Finals and push forward in 2025
Iga is more winnable than Aryna. What I don’t like about Aryna is her yelling everytime she hits the ball. Using that as a defense against her opponent. Iga to be ME is THE BEST.
I agree Aryna yelling can be annoying, and I doubt she’ll stop! Iga was more dominant in 2024 than Aryna but let’s see what happens in 2025 :)
There's misrepresentation here of what Toni said -- You're claiming Toni only said Federer's elegance and flair as the reason. Toni says "Who played better? Federer." Meaning, according to Toni, the level of play (probably at their respective peak forms) from Federer was higher than that of the other contenders. That's separate from Federer's supposed elegance, poetic nonchalance, grace, et cetera.
@@DLH-zw3lx I understand where you’re coming from. In the video, I did mention that Toni believes ‘Federer was the better player at his peak.’ I thought this was clear, but perhaps it could have been emphasized better.
@GrandSlamStats @GrandSlamStats you mentioned it somewhere in the start. In the conclusion, level of Federer's play is not what is factored in. But that's what Toni was basing his words on -- Federer's level of play, not aesthetics. The conclusion of the video paints it much more a a "pretty play" vs. "stats" juxtaposition -- which, unfortunately, is completely misleading to the average viewer. Level of play, according to one of the most successful coaches in the history of the game, is a serious, non-feeling based metric, my friend
In fact, Toni's comments from that excerpt of that particular 2024 interview at his academy do not even mention aesthetics or style of play at all. He says Federer played the game better. That's all.
@ Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. I see your point, and I’ll definitely be more careful and clear in the future if I cover a similar topic again. My intent wasn’t to misrepresent Toni’s comments, but I understand how the conclusion might have come across differently. I’ll work on making sure the distinction between factors like level of play and style is more accurately conveyed next time.
@GrandSlamStats cheers ) production values are great. Respect
Sabalenka had much better season.First winning 2 grand slams.Wimbldon she didnt play,at rolland garos she was sick otherwise would reach another final.Won 2 master tournaments 2 close finals against Iga,didnt play the Olimpycs and reaching the semis at wta finals and finishing the year as number 1.All that she did while going threw the stress of her boyfriend who died and now as will learn Iga used drugs sooo Saba rules Iga drools.
I see where you're coming from, and Sabalenka definitely had a great season, winning 2 slams in a year that’s been challenging for her. But you could argue that Swiatek has been the more dominant player across the 2024 season
@GrandSlamStats Your partially true on the dominant claim for the frist half of the season. The second half was dissapointing i mean that loss to Zheng at the Olympics was the biggest upset this year, like getting destroyed by a 5 foot Putinsteva and then losing to Pegula at Us open.Pegula who never went past the quarters and finaly the wta finals was dissapointing.Gets destroyed by Coco who she often dominates, almost lost to Krejcikova and the Kasatkina match was kindy not valid.Kasatkina didnt expect to play and obviosly as a said the fact that she has been caught guilty of using drugs makes no doubt that Sabalenka had much better season.
@ Thank you for your response! I agree with many of your points, especially regarding the loss to Zheng at the Olympics, it was definitely the biggest upset of the year, especially since it was on her favourite surface as well. You’re also right that Sabalenka winning two Grand Slam titles gives her a strong case for having the better season. However, I don’t think it’s entirely clear-cut. You could also factor Swiatek total number of titles and their head-to-head record (as mentioned in the video).
Sabalenka failed to win a title between AO and August
@@SmithyPL Lame argument.Iga didnt reach a final since RG....Saba since february was in great emotinal stress, later that year she got injured and sick so she mist Wimbldon and the Olympics.Stop with the lame arguments like Iga won 5 and Aryna 4 titles....Please and a 2-1 h2h dont make me laugh. If you guys dont follow tennis Saba finished n1 end of discusion i wont remply again.
In top form aryna is unplayable and unbeatable however the womans game is so talented and varied there are many to test that opinion just enjoy it roll on 2025❤❤❤❤❤
The women’s game is so good right now! Let’s hope its even more competitive in 2025!
SABALENKA !!!!!!!!!!!
Sabalenka was too good in the last two months of the season!
Doping Guru !!!
Still the best player in 2024 though.
They are both good. Aryna is my favorite though.
Sabalenka is more entertaining to watch
Cine este pe locul 1 in 2024 aia este cea mai buna.
That’s debatable.
Sabalenka finished 2024 strongly and will definitely be the player to beat in the beginning of 2025
Women's tennis 🎾 will continue getting physical. The strongest players are gonna dominate and lga is not among the strongest players.
Who do you think is going to dominate women’s tennis?
@GrandSlamStats Coco, Sabalenka, Iga, Qinwen in that order. I see Coco ascending to #1 next year followed by Sabalenka while Iga falls to #3 or lower. Iga doesn't seem to have endurance and it doesn't get better with increasing age.
@ To be fair, there's still a significant gap between Iga and the rest of the field on clay, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon. Coco definitely needs to build on her recent results, she needs to be more ruthless. I hope she becomes world No. 1, as it would make the women’s game even more exciting. As for Qinwen, she looked good this year, but we’ll see. Hopefully, Rybakina finds her form again in 2025 it would be great to have her back in the mix
Clay is not the only surface @@GrandSlamStats
@@trommelbiel of course :)
I don't like Aryna, I can't stand her screaming, it doesn't change the fact that she is an excellent tennis player with an excess of strength that is hard for her to control, hence so many out plays, I really like Iga, recently she's been playing crosses a bit monotonously instead of diversifying her game more, like she did two years ago... pondering who is better doesn't make sense because who wins a duel is determined by many factors that we can't even notice... Now no. 1 is Aryna and no. 2 is Iga... nothing changes, both are great tennis players
That's a good point about how many factors influence who wins the match. Still, it might be interesting to look at who had the better season overall in 2024 by comparing their performances statistically
@GrandSlamStats Isn't it WTA ranking list saying that? Isn't that the role of the ranking? Don't you think is quite objective? The rules are known to everyone and they're simple... nobody is ever the best all the time... We will see many more matches between these great tennis players, I hope
Correction: Iga Swiatek has won a total of 5 titles. Notably, she also won an Olympic bronze medal. Sabalenka 9 Final & Semi Final Appearances (WTA tour semi final losing to Coco Gauff)
Many say Sabalenka yet the numbers seem to be confusing. The only way to decide is to let them play 10 matches against each other in 10 days. Then it is done and dusted forever. They can both retire:)))
Interesting point! How would you split those 10 matches based on their favourite surfaces to make it fair?
@@GrandSlamStats 5xPhilippe-Chatrier & 5xRod Laver Arena . :)
@@noosakasoon-il5dj Would be 5-5 then
Did Iga won the united cup or Germany?
It was Germany sorry about that! Germany end up winning in the deciding doubles match with Zverev and Laura Siegemund beat Iga and Hurkacz
Sabelenka
Okay she won two Grand Slam Titles but she wasn’t as dominant across the 2024 season
You forgot Iga's bronze Olympic medal. That being said, Iga is the better player, except for her mental issue's. I believe she should fire her psych, as she is there for a job, not solving problems, except when she bets against her, knowing which buttons to push when she needs extra cash. Sabalenka on the other hand, has no such issue's, she can talk a boyfriend off a roof and finish her tournament without breaking a sweat. Aryna is an exceptional player, but she has to meet Iga on the court to achieve a fair #1, not wait until something happens to Iga and win by default, as happened twice, and Aryna is not good enough to battle Iga for the win except when someone is playing mind games with Iga. #quote
She did win Olympic bronze. I just didn’t know which category to put that information under. But yeah as most of the video explained Iga has definitely been the more dominant player in the 2024 season!
Let's goooo
Diego was past his prime when faced Sinner, but yes, he and Alcaraz are the big ones now
True, that’s a good point. If only Sinner had faced the 2018-2020 version of Schwartzman, especially on clay, it would not have been an easy match for him.
Dude is a savage
No doubt about that man!
He is a doping cheat.😅
Sinner is one of the few players that is helping to keep this era of men’s tennis interesting though 😅
Well done bro! 🎉
Thanks bro!
Sinner ain’t no joke!
Exactly! He’s ruthless and clinical with the way he plays.
Alcaraz yes , can't speak for the others.
Okay fair enough, but I’m curious to know why?
Lmao.. just another recency bias.

@GrandSlamStats far far too early besides this is the weakest era of all time if alcaraz or siiner win 25 slams it still won't mean as mush as novak rafa and feds tallies

Are you still debate this issue? lol You are wasting time fedals
I’ve said Djokovic is the GOAT before. I’m just responding to Toni Nadal comments.
@@GrandSlamStats My comment wasnt directed on you man! Cheers!
To me Federer is the goat. He is/was the reason or inspiration for a lot of kids to play Tennis. Even for me as an adult it was just a joy watching Federer in his prime as his elegance and skills were just unmatched.
And who the fuck are you so your opinion is matters? :)
@@Sathonys666 Fair enough man with your opinion on Federer but it’s hard to go against Djokovic being recognised as the GOAT when he has won everything and has the superior head to head record.
nadal al principio de jugar al tenis, ganaba por la ayuda de su tio, y después cuando adquirio experiencia ganaba porque jugaba un tenis monótono y aburrido que desconcentraba y desmoralizaba a sus rivales Nadal won at the beginning of playing tennis thanks to the help of his uncle, and then when he gained experience he won because he played a monotonous and boring tennis that distracted and demoralized his rivals. Au début du tennis, Nadal a gagné avec l'aide de son oncle, et plus tard, lorsqu'il a acquis de l'expérience, il a gagné parce qu'il jouait un tennis monotone et ennuyeux qui distrayait et démoralisait ses rivaux.
@@AL-hd8xd Nadal is interesting to watch, he’s been involved in two of the greatest matches of all time against his 2 Main Rivals? (Wimbledon 2008 and Australian Open 2012)
Before he lost to Nadal at RG (retired hurt) he looked like he would outlast Nadal over 5 sets. I wanted Zverev to win against Alcaraz at the French, just didn't happen. I think Zverev will eventually win a slam. Wimbledon is his weakest though I think.
I’m not sure he would have outlasted Nadal at French Open 2022. It’s a shame with that match against Alcaraz at French 2024 he should have kicked on from the 3rd set. Wimbledon he should be doing a lot better in that tournament.
Chokers are not be created they are born as a chokers. Zverev is one of them. No matter how easy draw he gets he will find a way out to lose. Wordt thing is he lost many of his games when he was 2 sets ahead.
He definitely has a mental block when it comes to slams.
Nice!
