I remember seeing Elaine in a concert in a small church in Hemet, California. I requested this song and Elaine was so kind to sing this one for me. Maybe about 5 or 6 years ago? I can't quite remember the year. Love this song!!!

The biggest D&D/RPG campaign I have ever and probably will ever run recently ended after over 2 years of play that has bonded my group together into what I hope will prove to be a group that continues to play together in some form for many more years to come. It was a science fiction game set in the far future where humanity once spread throughout the stars but over time, lost contact between star systems through a now ancient cataclysmic event. The party was set on a mission to reconnect some of the nearest systems in an effort to reach a mysterious planet with little historical record. The name of their ship was the Avalon, and many other pieces of the story were inspired in role or name by other pieces of Arthurian and Pagan myth as a repeating motif to reflect the stories of Arthur and their quest for the Holy Grail with the party's quest for this planet. When they finally arrived on this planet, they realized that it was in fact Earth, which was thought to have disappeared millennia ago, though now to find it largely abandoned save for the remnants of Warp Gates that once connected to the various ends of the galaxy. Through much trial and tribulation, particularly because of the efforts of an ancient Artificial Intelligence named Vortigern, the party managed to resettle Earth and rebuild the Warp Gates there in an effort to extend even further into the stars. A player of mine whos character previously died earlier on in the campaign brought this song to my attention. When I heard it, I was shocked at how perfect of a fit it was. That player decided then to record a message of his character playing this song as something left on his datapad before he died, which was later found on the last session of the campaign. I played his rendition as an honor to both the campaign and the character, but for the final narration of the campaign as a send off for the characters and the crew, I used this original version as the backdrop and "credits roll" song, and it was perfect.
