Completely understand what it’s like not want to release music. Like you said, If it’s not speaking to you and in the way you intend it to sound then it’s hard to let it go out into the world. I’ve been there several times. The great thing about it is the fact that you care a lot about your sound and how everything is presented. This is a rare trait to have. Stepping back and re-evaluating everything like you are doing is essential. One idea that could also be helpful is to look at one of the best songs you have on your album and focus solely on it. Then when you find it acceptable, simply release it as a single. Doing so can do wonders for motivation to finish as well as reduce a ton of pressure throughout your process of completing a full-fledged album. You will get there. Don’t lose heart.

Yeah be sure you put all your energy into a song and don't rush it. Better delayed and have no deadlines than a rushed alright project. And yes I've heard of Victor but I've never heard of any of his stuff but he even influenced Tosin Abasi of Animals As Leaders. But be sure you have some time for marketing also and checkout Distro Kid for distribution as it's one of the better ones.
