Is DCS better than IL-2? I used to play a lot of IL-2 years ago and recently desired to get back into combat flight sims. DCS is looking like the way to go.

About your headset: you can give your headset additional charge via the USB C port on the right side of the headset, freeing you from having to swap the batteries. You need a QC 3.0 adapter and a long USB cable. The adapter needs to be QC 3.0 adapter otherwise it won't work, ideally with some amount of power (> 30-40W). Also unplug the powered USB 2.0 hub From Pimax. You can look it up on for more details, but I can conform it works. It's great not to have to bother with charging the batteries, can recommend. BTW, that Spit put up a great fight, props.

Getting jumped at high altitude, getting out alive AND getting one of the Spits? That's a good result in my book. The Spit shouldn't have been greedy and should have stayed up, bad decision on his part which ended up badly for him because of it, entirely avoidable in my opinion. The debris damaging your prop was bad luck. The Spit going for a strafe in the end was a bit gamey for me. No tactical necessity to do so while putting himself in a potentially very dangerous situation so low at the ground over enemy territory, very far from friendly lines for a couple of in game points. People tend to confuse getting points and flying well/being a good pilot. Becoming a better pilot will most likely correlate with scoring more points over time. However, scoring more points on a mission by making bad decisions and getting away with it does not indicate you flew well that mission and does not indicate you're a good pilot. People who like foremost a big number behind their name should open an Excel sheet, put their name in it and write a number as big as they like behind it, doesn't make you a better pilot either, but hey, big numbers.

@ACG_JayDog, Im still having trouble identifying planes in VR with Quest 3, seems like i have to be right on top of them before Im sure, used to be fine with monitor. Any settings that help, or is the better resolution with the PiMax
