Ok it's like this. The Northside did have a rap scene way before all of this. It just wasn't a big one. There were battles and songs being made on an underground level. I used to go to Greenspoint to battle rap. And I know for a fact there was the same thing happening on the Southside because I knew all the rappers who really mattered in the game. The heavy hitters. But you had to be on the club scene to know who was who. Then years later all the other shit came about. Man I could write a mean book about how rap music started in H Town.

I was there when all the beef took place. I even remember when northside rappers rapped differently. We didn't say "hold up" and "comin dyne".
