OMG! Why did it take so long for my UA-cam algorithms to bring this wonderful video and series to my attention! Fantastic video! I’ve always loved theEnzo, although it is not my favorite of the flagship models, that will always be the F 50, I still think the Enzo, it is and will always be an iconic and beautiful car.
Once I saw the documentary I had to upload and share. It's a great car. Set a standard for supercars of the era.
@ Niiiice 👍🏼
my favorite Ferrari- its like a land jet
@@MrCalverino Much agreed. It started a new era of supercar
@motoessentials plus its super exclusive, anyone couldn't buy it 😃
@ Ferrari as always, being awkward
2001**
is 2001 not 2007
Can't change description but thanks for letting me know.
Where i can find this ?
@@yaporus I found it in an extra section of a dvd. I may have chopped this section only
@@motoessentialsthanks and do you have any other information about the ek4 to have photos or the body kit used etc
@@yaporusDoesn’t seem to be much out there. Most likely a small shop doing their own
An awesome archive. As a belgian Speaking fan this is pure gold from the Belgian tv RTBF. If yo uhave other archives from that race in French even few minutes. Feel free to share them with us. Max.
@@MaxouLePilote I’m always looking for more DTM
dear creator I am a young car / motorsport enthusiast from Belgium. I often watch videos like this one, featuring dtm and many more. I believe UA-cam shall one day shut down, as eventually everything comes to an end. In order to prevent running out of interesting videos to look at, at an old age, i'm trying to collect as much footage as i can, to store on a USB drive. I was hoping you could perhaps provide me some information as to where i can find videos like these. thank you in advance. regards, Dathan Fonteyne
@@D4TH4NFONT3YN3 Most likely will end and be lost. My videos are from dvds or videos that I have bought over many years. You can find some on eBay or even local markets. Maybe 2dehands for you in Belgium. Also bought them at car shows sometimes like drifting or racing.
awsome 🎉

AE86 Club vids on the channel from 1st April onwards
At least you could drive a relatively similar car on the street back then and have fun. Even the street versions of the current GT3 cars are way too fast now. Only way to really have fun with those cars are to track them…
Well I suppose but there is always a market for the ‘street’ side of motorsport. You can have fun with them in a civilised way with meets and spirited drives.
Che susse hanno preso i crucchi 🤣🤣🤣

If your gonna put in a lancia delta clip you might as well throw in an Audi Quattro clip
Will find some clips
Mercedes was running on 4-cyl Merc engines , BMW had 4-cyl BMW engines. Alfa however had other plans and was racing 6-cyl Peugeot engines.
Even after engine/rule changes, Opel and Alfa both left in 1996
but what Peugeot engines, but where do you originate such nonsense? Do you know that Peugeot built and supplied engines to the Alfa Romeo racing team for the DTM championship? and where were the Peugeot engineers in the garage? hidden in the closet perhaps? the regulations stipulated that the engines used for the cars were derived from the series, but what exactly had to be taken from the series engine? the same angle of the v and the same distance between the cylinders. stop. so was it necessary to use the block of that engine? no absolutely, it was only necessary to respect these 2 parameters and these parameters had to match the measurements taken by an engine used by the brand in series production. for the first 3 years, an engine derived from the V6 Busso Alfa Romeo was used, with a 60 degree inclination. but the v of 60 degrees gave some limitations and therefore engineer Limone opted for a 90 degrees. In Alfa Romeo production there was only one engine with a 90 degree V, and it was the Montreal V8, but this engine had a cylinder spacing that was too small. Searching through the documents, it was discovered that for a few years, the Lancia belonged to Alfa Romeo and in the Thema model, the V6 PRV engine was installed, which was the only V6 produced in Europe with a 90 degree inclination. consequently for the 96 season, both engines were homologated, one derived from the Montreal V8 and the other derived from the PRV, but only the second was used on the competing cars. but the Peugeot people don't even know what the Alfa Romeo ITC engine is. so, let's not talk nonsense.
@@motoessentials the championship was over, it wouldn't have lasted anyway, the fia at the hands of Ecclestone did everything to kill this championship. the cars had become as expensive as a Formula 1 and the minimum use of 6 cars was imposed, therefore, the costs exceeded those of F1. Then the FIA had put races on the calendar which forced the teams to race in Japan today and the following week on the other side of the world, with unsustainable shipping costs for the machines and materials and also in some races, the teams were forced to purchase 10,000 tickets for the grandstands. the championship was annoying and was abolished.
@@lucaiervasi8515 Now you have modernity. A well planned out calendar across only Europe. Gives teams more time to prepare and test.
@@motoessentials what does it have to do with today? where is the ITC championship held today? Did I miss something? no, because the ITC championship no longer exists. the DTM championship died in 1995 and from its ashes, the ITC championship was born, held in just one season, 1996. the old DTM, combined with the ITC, had a very important following and began to compete with F1, especially in terms of it concerned the sponsors, who were starting to abandon f1 in favor of the dtm, this caused a lot of annoyance at the top levels and everything was done to suppress the championship, with absurd rules and timetables designed to make life difficult for the teams. in 2000 the DTM championship returns, but it has nothing to do with the old one, especially as regards its media relevance, which is not at all comparable to that of the 90s. Furthermore, today we race with cars strictly derived from the series. We need to clarify one thing, the ones we see in this video are not the Opel Calibra, Alfa 155 and Mercedes 190 or Class C. but they are prototypes dressed with the bodywork of production cars. as I had already explained in my other comment on the engine, the regulations stipulated that it was necessary to respect the dimensions of the production cars chosen to compete, but did not impose the use of the original bodywork. the 155 of the dtm had nothing taken from the standard one, it only had a carbon fiber bodywork which faithfully reproduced the standard one, but this did not cover the chassis of the standard 155, but covered the body of a prototype. if you open the rear bonnet of a 155 itc, you will see the asphalt underneath, in the bulkhead of the rear seats, you will see the active push rod suspension, if you remove the front bonnet, you will not see an engine installed inside an engine compartment, but you will see an engine that it also acts as a load-bearing element of the body. essentially, those cars were F1 cars with covered wheels. and as such, they had very high costs. Today, the DTM is raced with GT cars, which are something completely different.
Where are the BMW e30s😅 weird to see them riding in the back while they where former champions
The M3s were ran by Linder Motorsport, Auto Maass and Kaucuk Motorsport. 1994 had 5 teams running M3 and their variants.
@@motoessentialsoh this was when bmw stopped bothering with dtm?
@@POVShotgun They ran the M3 in 1994 also but I think none were entered in 1995. 1996 became the ITC. BMW did not enter that year also.
Is that a very young Martin Haven on commentary?
I’d have to check the dvd again but I think you’re right

Is it possible to buy this with english commentary on dvd?
I think you can still get it on eBay. I think it’s called ‘DVD Special’ and has DTM 1993
what track is that?
Bathurst
17:30 what is the song?????
It's marked as Morgan West - Fearless Funkestra but not 100% sure.
that was slightly desperate tbh
He had also driven off-track further up the road to get past. Senseless
Also it does not look like Bihoku track. What is the track tho?
Lesser known Mobility Omuta i think
I wonder what happened to all these cars........
Most are probably scrap or or just sitting around as parts cars
Bastos!💪🏽
So iconic - This full documentary comes out on February 1st
