@@johnberry4568 I think education and gaining knowledge is one of the most important aspects for human survival. Specifically I refer to edcation of the general sense. Arts, history, geography, math, macro/micro econ, not purely "skill" education. School should be focused on preparation for life not prep for the workforce. Teach you how to accept people you hate. Force you to learn things you don't like etc.. Life skills. Edit: by human survival.. I mean all humans not you alone. A single uneducated individual harms more than one individual in some way or another.

@ so education I agree is 100% essential to every day living and value, I also agree learning should never stop regardless of your age and educational background but that comes in all shapes and sizes . My reference is more college directed . I think college is way to expensive , and to be in debt for 10 years to get a job seems counter productive in my opinion. I have a high school diploma and I make more than most Texas A&M graduates . But that’s me and my work ethic I understand every situation is different

@@johnberry4568 Id argue that is a very different message from your original message. Education is not the problem in any way here money/for profit/private/late stage capitalism/short sighted version of education we have allowed today is the problem. Until we address/limit the human greed. Humans will just Human. It takes the logic and critical thinking learned through general knowledge to make these better longer term decisions. Problem is its difficult to debate with someone if they don't even understand the words you need to use.. We put so much onus on the speaker when in my experience we need better listeners. i am happy for your success overall. Id just like to say i hope your judgement of "successful life" includes other factors besides financial. Remember the values you hold translate to the people who are in a position of power to fix the issues you highlighted. If finances are high on your priority it will be high on the people who we elect to lead.

@ it proved not to be an Achilles heal in them attaining success. In fact at their high level, lifting may have been a distraction from them attaining success
