Hi. Im looking for this genetic. How its called? Can u show link me for that's seedshop?
@@Звуковик-Светляк it’s call Atlantic Giant Pumpkin. If you search that you can find places to buy the seeds.
@@dawson_acres okay bro, thanks! Let it grow!!!
😂 thats humungous.
You can turn the vine when the pumpkin is smaller so it’s sitting upright as it goes & the bottom will be flat
congratulations to 802 subscribers
How many meters long is the pumpkin?
@@user-sk6py2xi2x the circumference is 3.4 meters.
Wish I had that problem
Omg
Wow😲
Your set up is very professional. I’m growing a Big Max pumpkin and the giant pumpkin world is still pretty new to me. Do you use synthetic nutrients? NPK? How often? Yours are dwarfing mine lol
Great patch tour. Love the videos. Keep doing work.
@@docrodebaugh thanks Doc, it’s nice when the hard labor equals good results. Mother Nature doesn’t alway solve that equation the way you want. 😂
Doc giant pumpkin growinger you video sooo nice
You are doing a great job. When you move the big ones forward I understand getting them free from the side vines but I don't understand how the main vine moves forward without breaking.
@@giantsquash usually you have the vine trained in a kind of “S” shape so you’re just relieving the kink in the “S”. The one in this video is more of a straight line so it’s slightly different. Easier to draw than put into words. Easiest way of thinking about it is the pumpkin expands in all directions equally. And when it expands back towards the vine you have to relieve it.
@@dawson_acres Thanks, I want to believe I understand...LOL
1548? Did you mean 1584?
@@ashleighormsby8232 no, it’s a 1548 Marden grown by a local Napa grower named Andy Marden.
have u had a world record pumpkin?
@@troydefond2307 no, definitely not. Top growers have me covered by a lot.
how many kilos are the pumpkins now?
@@user-sk6py2xi2x the 2006 Wolf is 323kgs, 2560 Gienger is 228kgs and the other two are both about 142kgs
Okay tank you bro 😊
Great shots. Your plants are massive! 🙌
@@evanpagano thanks! Now let’s turn that into a massive pumpkin 😂
WOW
Why don’t you ever turn it up on the bottom. Instead of side.
@@paulameredith4843 this variety (Atlantic Giant) does not naturally grow in that orientation. However, with very careful vine training and some special care given to the blossom end it can be done. You need to dig a hole or grow on something that gives clearance for the blossom. Makes a big ”Cinderella” style pumpkin.
So for those who don’t know what your EC means. Maybe explain in the video?
@@jesusisGod1434 good call, I will do that in a future video.
How are you weighing them every day? Why is there an open can of soda next to pumpkins? Thank you, I binge-watched your season this year. Learned a lot.
@@tammyjo4138 the can of soda is just a helpful reference for size. You generate an estimated weight by measuring the pumpkin with a tape measure in three locations and then plugging them into a calculator.
What are the uses for giant pumpkins?
@@Bob-k6x by pushing the boundaries of plants there is a lot to learn that can be applied elsewhere in your garden. Atlantic Giants aren’t the best eating pumpkin if that’s what you’re getting at.
Nice tour. Veg looks great with the Nitrogen bump.
@@docrodebaugh thanks! Now i need to get them pumpkin numbers up.
now which one is the wolf giant pumpkin ?
@@user-sk6py2xi2x the first one. Going to be bright orange 🍊
is the wolf a giant pumpkin?
Thank you for sharing the progress. 😎👍
What mean level are up
"Squidward"
well, mine has grown a lot and the pumpkin is only now growing
Great vid and thanks again for all the tips. Maybe in a future video mentioning in general when to switch up amendments based on stages of the plant. I think I’ve got the nitrogen piece down early on but once there’s fruit bit of a mystery for a newbie. Bunch of opinions out there but hoping there are some general rules
Do you spray your fruit trees?
@@adamsw2424 the only thing I’ve used is copper in the winter to combat peach leaf curl. Otherwise, no.
@@dawson_acres they look awesome. Can't keep the pests off mine in GA
I understand that compared to last year's pumpkins, they will be big for you?
I’ve been cutting the buds on secondaries that were doing the same and my other secondaries have kicked back in completely. I’ve got tertiaries from those filling in the gaps. Plants look great!
Last year I thought my plant had pretty much completely shut down. I started giving it Masterblend 4-18-38 and all of the secondaries I didn’t terminate took off again.
@@theturnerranchwi yeah I had a similar situation last year too. A late surge. Not sure about the secondaries that “bud out” though. We will see.
Bro, when do you think the final size will be?
@@user-sk6py2xi2x the wolf should go to the scale 9/28.
Who just like that
I love your videos
your giant pumpkin is the biggest pumpkin in the world
@@user-sk6py2xi2x haha, not quite
my friend, no, what can't be said about this, your giant pumpkin sets a record
Awesome song
Beautiful progress!💛🧡🤎
2 year old compost excessive????? 😮
Yes growing the wolf giant pumpkin good luck the giant pumpkin
Last year the squirrels ate holes in our hollween pumpkins seeds all over 1st of spring a plant started growing in our flower bed, this thing is huge 20 or more blooms on it every day and at least 20 or more pumpkins from a pea sized to a tennis ball very healthy,is this normal do you think the pumpkins will mature?
Ok I contact you for September first week
I'm just starting on my pumpkin growing adventures im only after a pumpkin thats around 200 to 400 pounds thats still edible and not full of copious amounts of fertilizers so with that being said my first plant was always a light green but about a week and a half ago the entire thing turned yellow and is starting to die i was wondering if anyone would have any ideas about what it is and if it might be a fixable thing because it looks like its started to kill my second plant and if thats so my year is probably over because its too late to get new plants in the ground and if it is a disease how can I prevent it in the future
@@Luke-fj3ih I recommend going to BigPumpkins.com. You can post pictures and ask questions there. Everyone is very helpful. It’s just hard to advise without some pictures.
Looks great
