Theyre busy fighting Brutes. Theyre outnumbered 3 to 1, and need as many Elites as they can. These Phantoms are what could be spared to assist the humans in this assault without putting the rest of their lives in danger. This is also a video game, and there are render/memory/compute limitations to consider.

@@faxinspace I understand all of that, I just don't see how sending humans, which are objectively inferior, to take the ultimate objective of the entire effort is a good idea. Other than Bungie needing to create more drama when they fail and are captured. Actually, I forgot how much I don't like the narrative of the entire franchise. Take Halo 2 for example. I buy a space shooter because I want to see some crazy, exotic setting. So where does Bungie take the setting? To Earth. Where I already live. If I wanted to play a shooter on Earth I'd play COD or something. I know the plot doesn't stay there, but if its a sci-fi franchise, it shouldn't have even started there. What Halo CE did well was it made the plot about the setting, which is something video games are uniquely good at. Halo 2 doesn't stay anywhere long enough to develop the setting, so it has to rely on space opera drama and I think thats lame.

ODST are elite units, more so than marines & are trained for immediate action on immediate drops, thereby allowing the ground forces to dismantle the AA. The Shadow Of Intent, “The supper carrier,” was remaining back and preparing for their strike on Truth’s ship were the flood invested High Charity knocked them off the mission, so they could not attack or else it would be too devastating as they would need to get near the shields which would have delivered catastrophic damage. The elites on the other hand, were as susceptible to the flood, and were in their pros & cons against humanity were known yes, but they were fighting for a common cause and recognized humanity’s strength & intelligence, which made the alliance. And Sci-fi combat trilogies made a game that competed strongly with COD back in the day, and many people love seeing the gameplay & combat more than historical battles, COD has even done so with Advanced Warfare & Black Ops 2 games. The setting of Earth is because of its predecessors & the lore & story that went into it of taking the fight to the Covenant to kill Prophet of Truth then going to deal with the flood. People have different tastes, so don’t hate or criticize the game on the wrong type of video thats based mainly on the nostalgia of it

@@BrickHelmuy I'm not hating the game based on one video. I think the entire franchise has lazy writing for the sake of drama. And if "Supper Carriers" existed we'd live in a better world.
