Переглядів 25 тис.8 років тому
French Broad River running 4000 cfs. Section 9 in SeaEagle 330 and SeaEagle 370. Barnard to end of Maze Rapid. Class II and III rapids.
really smart, great way to fix a problem every golfer has
@@FullSendInc09 thank you
Awesome video showing what the little kayaks can do
First time I flipped in my sea eagle 300 was in a cross current also. They sneak up on ya.
how did they hold up?? thinking about buying some for the cuyahoga river? already popped my intex....
They hold up great. If you have any trouble with them, and for any reason, they bust from normal operation, SeaEagle will just send you a new one. I like this boat so much that my wife and I saw used one for sale at a huge, sporting good store, and I jumped on it because of its quality. Matter of fact, we just took it out to the lake today.
@@aaronsmith8346 thanks brother appreciate the feedback! ordering one now.
I don’t know if you watch the other video. I have post it up there with me and my buddy Davis. That is a better video where we make it all the way down section 9 and you can see how it handles in the white water, up to class three rapids.
Thank you Jesus for a good run, thank you Jesus. John11:25 Amen
Maybe dinner.
Let it tow you
On a slow stretch pull a crankbait
Fun

Anyone check for a waterfall?
Approved 😊
My sea eagle
Did you get any leaks? I just bought one for a rather shallow river.
No leaks at all. It is a very durable watercraft for being inflatable.
@@aaronsmith8346 I tried mine out an was very pleased, it took getting hung up several times, class 2 and 3 rapids, and even a few hits from my friends hard sided kayak. I was going to return on arrival, thanks you for giving me the push to try it out. Best purchase I've made in a while so far. :)
@@aaronsmith8346 how long have you been "testing it's limitations?"
looks like i'm buying one of these
Good stuff y'all! Thanks for posting. My father-in-law let me borrow his 330 a few years ago. I have a hardshell, but love the 330 to take out with the fam (they like to tube and I like the kayak...I pull them along in slower water). Great to know the 330 can handle more than just easy paddling down a class I!
That is not class 3 not even class 2. Sea Eagle 330&370 are fun IK's,but you need to get up the scale before you attempt real white water. Those IK's are not stiff enough in the bottom for WW.
Nice trip👍
bitchin
Good job recovering the seat! Did the "seater" rely on "Velcro" only or also added some scotch tape?! Send him my warmest LOLs...
I have one of these, those seats sort of pressure fit themselves in place. I took mine out on rapids and it didn't budge the whole trip.
Thanks for doing this video. I was looking for a reasonably priced inflatable that could handle class II water. Hard to make that determination by reading a few reviews. Saw all I needed to see. Much appreciated. Sea Eagle should pay you guys :-)
Awesome run for sure and thank you Jesus indeed!
Great video! I just got a sea eagle 370 and it’s cool to find videos of others taking these out in class II and III’s! Loons like this was a memorable and exciting, abit scary trip!
The other one I have posted is when we went back and were able to complete the run. We were kinda dumb trying to run this as fast as it was going.
Hi Aaron! Thanks for posting, just saw this myself. I have a questions for you? I am getting the Sea Eagle 330 and really want proper foot rest to balance and push against for good ergonomics. Where did you get that foam, what did you use, for the front and back of your boat to rest your feet against and push off? Thanks. :)
I got two big pieces of styrofoam glued them together and cut them into wedges to fit. Works like a dream. I cannot remember the glue I used though it was sprayed on industrial strength and waterproof.
@@aaronsmith8346 Hey thanks! That helps a lot.
@@tucsonazrealestatehomesforsale anytime. I will try to contact my buddy to see where he got the material. It has been a few years so he may have forgotten.
I just talked to my buddy. He said he had to order it on Amazon but to make sure it is Non-Porous styrofoam.
@@aaronsmith8346 I see it on there. Thank you again, much better alternative than something inflatable. :) Got it!
intense ride im flowing with you as though im on the kayak just ordered a 370 pro
what is in front foot support?
I think it's cutted to shape Polystyrene. He have them here in Europe usually in 120x60cm panels in all kind of thickness. Everything between 2 and 25cm. Are used in building construction as insulation for inside and outside,... floors, walls etc. It's very light and water repellent too for short period of times. If kept under water for minutes, hours will suck in some water. Pretty cheap product.
Did any of you cut the Skegs off? Or should you not?
areUreadyFreddy you shouldn’t cut off the Skegs. They help for going the direction you want to go. You will most likely regret it
These models they are removable.. not needed in white water... only used on flat water and slower rivers
@@kennethr2906 They are not removable on my 370
@@areUreadyFreddy oh sorry.. well they should be.. lol
not to be picky but those are class ii at most.
You're correct. I've run my 300 on the Nantahala with 4 - 5 foot wave trains without ever tipping over. The Sea eagles can handle much bigger water than what you saw here.
Awesome, you took the time show how it handles class 3 rapid, on Sea Eagle kayak!!! I just bought one few week's ago. Of course I'm just going use it for fishing! This way save gas driving my car long trips, using inflatable kayak, then using my old truck bring hard plastic kayak.
Great video. I take it you guys needed the water drain open for these runs? Was there much water getting into the kayak ?
A little but the drain plug works well.
Quit watching after the second F-bomb.
I was in a different place then. Thankfully Jesus rescued me and I don't use that language anymore. Don't blame you one bit for exiting stage left.
@@aaronsmith8346 awesome to here on Jesus. Congrats to you bro. Lively footage priceless. 😎
But you feel the need to comment and pass judgement? F-bomb off
Did you put on extra skegs? Thanks
No, just what is on the yak
Here's the foam you should use on a river that's a little more durable and won't come apart - Minicell. www.amazon.com/NSI-Minicell-Foam-12/dp/B00T3KKAP8/
Most Excellent! I'm getting tired of watching set up videos for the 370! I want action videos like yours to see how they handle under conditions and uses that an outdoorsman would use them for! Thankyou!
wtf are you talking about?
Thank yo for the great video! I'm about to get the SE370 pro soon. So excited to see that you can use it for class II-III rapids! I've seen a lot mixed review about this product for white water. Could u please let me know how's your feeling about the hull material for rock abrasions ? I've seen u scraped over some rocks and will that do damage or cause puncture so far? Thank you so much in advance!
I've had no trouble with rock rubbing. As Long as you follow the inflating instructions, you shouldn't have any trouble.
Aaron Smith that’s glad to know! Thank you!
Would be nice if the people posting could work a little bit to develop a vocabulary instead of just using obscenity and vulgarity infused with whatever emotion they are feeling to "express" (I use the word very, very loosely) themselves ...
Fuck free speech. Am I right?
Cool…next time they’re in an extremely stressful situation they’ll call you and ask what words they should use. How inconsiderate of them
Go cry some more
I don’t think I would attemp that in my 370 lol
We were definitely idiots for trying, lol
What's all the huffing and puffing about?
out of shape, lol......still out of shape, need to get my paratrooper mindset back
Not a fan of the cheap foul language. But, why don't you strap in the seat?
These SeaEagles do not provide any way to strap in seats and the instructions warn that the material will not accommodate any glue-on accessories at all specifically d-rings which leaves no way to attach thigh straps either. These guys pushed these boats to the limit and were smart to get off the river when they found it
Velcro workes for me
Fun video. Can you suggest where to get and how to cut the foam to size?
Excellent video! I like seeing the product i am researching actually being used!
That is an entertaining video. Did your kayak incur scratches as a result of hitting rocks and boulders? What is the condition of your kayak a year after filming this video? Your response will be highly appreciated.
These kayaks are great! This is actually the 2nd season of use and now going on 4 years of use!
We had no trouble, some discolorations from rubbing but that can usually be wiped off with soap and water.
great video!!!! looks like those 330's held their own.
Great vid. Smart to get off the river b4 anyone got hurt.
You're a good buddy, picked up his seat twice. Fun vid!
it looks like you've got a styrofoam insert for a foot rest. How does that work?
Worked great the ones in front give you leverage against your feet and either a cooler or another piece of foam in the back will help also.
More than anything it was used for balance. I had a cooler that was behind me so it helped keep me tight in the kayak for the Whitewater.
What is the white stuff you used to fill the kayak?
Pieces of foam measured and cut to fit in the kayaks for better stability and control, noticable difference!
Great video! It's reassuring to watch someone take the 330s down rapids. There's no question that they're pretty durable kayaks. I have a 330 of my own and would love any advice about making a foam insert, because it looks like a superb idea. I.E) did you use styrofoam? what size block did you start with? did you glue different slabs of styrofoam together?
Paige Langley not sure about measurements but it is one piece of Styrofoam. A friend made them
I will ask my buddy who made them where he got the stuff, though it has been a few years.
everthing you paddle was mostly very easy class 2. Maze being class 2+. If you really wanted to test those out you should have ran down to hot springs. Thanks for wasting my time
Thanks for the feedback...
Guess you didn't watch the other video.
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
Not bad for a couple rookies lol
