best sound I've seen out of these is just a modified standard muffler with the internal secondary boxes removed.

It really depends on the year. I’ve got a 2019 v6 with OPF/GPF filters and fitted a Velocity AP valved catback to get some noise and it sounded great but still missed some tone down low. Just had the OPF/GPF cats replaced with 2016 cats today and during the drive home I was like ‘what’ now it just sounds stupid loud like yours with the valves open. Will be fitting the standard muffler over the weekend to check that out with valves open.

If you're going to get an F-Type get the V8 and quit fucking around with little six cylinders

If you want more sound in your Jaguar F-Type V6 and V8, remove the fuses F43 and F15 controlling the vacuum and exhaust valves. I was considering a muffler delete, and the Jaguar forum recommended me to try this before. it's night and days!! The car is way way louder, the sound is more crisp, it cost nothing to do and it can be done in less then 15min by yourself. page 199 in the user manual. Thanks me later ;)

I just got this 4 years later. If you haven’t already done so, may I suggest an exhaust by Velocity. They’re supposed to be pretty good. No drone.

I got the v8 vert. The only thing In The yard that sounds better is my AM Rapide S

I've got a V6S manual with upper pulley upgrade, had a newly developed valvetronic cat back exhaust system from viezu then added a 200 cell sports cat it's is now the loudest V6S in the UK as seen on MR GB channel and Too Tall To Drive channel. Sounds a lot better than a muffler delete.

Feel bad. Maybe you should have waited a few years to but the F-Type you desire before taking matters into your own hands. Does sound fantastic though.

I had the same muffler deleted same sounds what took the raspy sound was resonator delete and add x pipe made the sound loud premium like the f type R

I live in a fairly urban and blue collar suburban town where it seems every “boi” racer drives a “ricer” car with a muffler delete or some horrible cherry bomb type of exhaust. It is awful to my ears. I get that there is a culture in the “ricer” community where it is celebrated to customize their cars in this way along with stickers, bolt on aero from Amazon….you get the picture but my ears are assaulted by trombones and lawnmowers everywhere. But when did I become the arbiter of good taste? So, to each their own 😬😬

Your shop destroyed the OEM muffler by cutting the tips and where it connects to the mid pipe. It’s literally 2 nuts that hold it in place place.

I have both resonator and suitcase muffler delete on my S it sounds crazy. But the drone is 100%bad getting a R stock muffler put on in a few weeks should sound good
