Wallbox Quasar EVSE controller explained
This is not the topic I normally discuss on this channel but I have said before that I don't intend to always talk about that.
I have some software on github that I use to control my Wallbox Quasar and do exciting things like powering my home and eating my solar generation. It requires some hardware that it works with. This video explains it all!

Would I ever detransition?
Переглядів 1599 місяців тому
Recently I've been contemplating what conditions would have to exist to cause me to detransition. Here are my thoughts after nearly three years on hormones and being in my fifth year of transition.
Is gender dysphoria a mental illness? If not, why is it a medical need that it be treated?
Переглядів 2110 місяців тому
Here I discuss whether gender dysphoria is a mental illness and try to find the accepted conclusion from the medical literature available such as the DSM-V document. I also try to find out why the treatment of gender dysphoria is classed as a medical need if gender dysphoria is not an illness.
Should I apply for a GRC?
Переглядів 1510 місяців тому
I forgot to mention in the video that nobody can lawfully demand to see your gender recognition certificate in the UK. The rules and provisions of the Equality Act 2010 apply regardless of whether you are legally male or female in the eyes of the law. Also, the fact that there is so little to gain from getting a GRC is, I believe, as it should be. There shouldn't be any difference in law betwee...
Why should you believe me? My thoughts about bias and who benefits from transphobia.

Some resources that you might want to check out: UA-cam channel @DrJamieTalks for scientific medical knowledge about trans people; they are themself a doctor and a trans person. UA-cam channel @PhilosophyTube and in particular Abigail Thorn's latest video at the time of writing as discussed. Feel free to ask questions; please keep them respectful!
After four years, I have settled on my pronouns!
Переглядів 810 місяців тому
One would think that it's a straightforward matter to determine one's pronouns if they were transitioning - the opposite of those that apply to your gender as assigned at birth. But that doesn't apply necessarily; a binary person can choose to accept they, and a non-binary person could choose to accept gendered pronouns other than they/them. I talk about how I determined my pronouns, and why it...

As a trans woman, why do I not choose to present strongly feminine?
Переглядів 3211 місяців тому
I talk about why I choose not to maintain a strongly feminine presentation (e.g. with makeup, ultra-feminine clothing, etc).
What was my consultation for GRS like?

I also think I forgot to say - you get a ten-week sick note (or "fit" note if you want to be pedantic) covering the period immediately after the operation if you need it. In my case, being a software engineer and self-employed, I hope to be working again well before that, but I have a rainy-day fund that can cover me for months if needed. Here is the interview I spoke about between Dr Sophie Qu...

Am I a trans woman or non-binary?
Переглядів 11Рік тому
I answer why I think the labels trans woman and non-binary both apply to me.
Thanks for sharing! Personal experiences are very helpful for people to know what to expect from surgery.
That's part of the reason I've been making these videos! I've seen other people's stories but I'm trying to go into a little more depth with my experience. And also the complications I've had are nothing major; I don't think serious complications are common, though, of course, they do happen. Thanks for your comment!
Wow! I am so excited for you! 🥰
Be safe! EXIST! ❤
I'm sorry for all the hatred you have to go through. This just popped up in my reccomendations. Trans women are women. I support your efforts, Ma'am. - A rando on the internet
In the scientific literature, safety and a lack of acceptance are common reasons cited for detransitioning. Few regret their transition experience.
Yes . Being trans is not the issue it's society 😊
I have lived many past lives as a man. I am masculine of center, but my soul decided to take on a female body. So in this lifetime I will experience life as a female. I have struggled with my core energy for most my life. Raised as Jehovah's Witness I came out to my family and was prepared to face being shunned, but it doesn't even matter as I don't have any romantic relationships or even friendships for that matter. I focus on learning as much I can about spirituality, human behavior, trauma personalities, narcissism and software development it kind of puts me in the mindset of rewiring our DNA so along the lines of psychology, spirituality and so forth. We are all a part of divine source and we all understand to some degree human nature, human behavior and strong emotions. Flexibility in thinking is what is needed in life. Much love to you on your journey, Robyn.

Thank you, and all the best to you!
1:27 “It’s about equal opportunities for all!” No, it was about the material reality of male violence against women.
Equal pay? The vote? These matters are part of feminism and they don't specifically correlate with violence. But it's okay to have differences of opinion. Thanks for the comment.
@@RobynRox2 Are you so inundated with male privilege that you don’t consider disenfranchisement to be violence? Do you not see the correlation between women’s sex and _why_ they are oppressed? Do you not see how the physical disparities between men and women make such discrimination possible? Have you ever asked where “transwomen” were before women got the vote? Where they are in places like Afghanistan? Oh yeah. They’re choosing to be men because that’s _convenient_ for them. But structural analysis aside, you said _part._ Yeah. Part. And the whole isn’t a part. So thank you for conceding that you’re wrong. Also, maybe do some cursory research on these “equal rights” issues you cite, since a lot of it (like prohibition) had its roots in activism against _domestic violence._ Your attempt to frame these political actions as purely a matter of “equal rights” disassociates them from their historical context. A context, I should add, that is _material_ and rooted in _material things like sex_ and not subjective things like a sense of “gender”. In other words, you’re willfully ignorant about women’s history because doing so allows you to justify this absurd woman LARP. What you’re doing is on par with Rachel Dolezal and her “African Studies” class. Except I assume Dolezal read at least one book by a black author. And that’s really what this is about, isn’t it? I don’t mind when men or women forget or misunderstand history. I do it all the time. But to _butcher_ that history and cut off all meaning to justify putting on a minstrel show of the sex whose history you’re appropriating… it’s just… hilarious. It really is. Thanks for the laugh, bro. *TLDR:* ywnbaw
No means no, bro
Well, that just about wraps it up! Thank you for your enlightened wisdom.
Prior to DSM-V, the diagnosis of gender identity disorder pathologized gender diversity. DSM-V depathologized gender diversity, but continued to consider the dysphoria associated with gender diversity to be a mental health condition. Thus being transgender or nonbinary itself if not considered a mental illness. This was further supported by the ICD-11 diagnosis of Gender Incongruence. ICD-11 which got rid of the entire gender identity disorders category, and placed the diagnosis of Gender Incongruence under a new category Conditions Related to Sexual Health. Thus under the ICD-11 framework gender incongruence is not considered a sexual or behavioral disorder but simply a condition related to sexual health. I hope this is helpful. 🙂
Thanks, doc! That's great!
