Kombucha is an ancient beverage that's light, effervescent, and bubbly. For those new to kombucha, it typically includes some black tea base and potentially a mix of other teas, sugar (to feed the yeast during fermentation), water, and a SCOBY. The SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) is sometimes called the "starter" because it provides the live bacteria that infuse the tangy flavor...

    Wow. Sorry I'm a year late but I had to revisit this gem to see how our policy got so far of the rails for the 2025 DGAC. The information being given here 32:20 is beyond reckless. Consuming DNA 'damaged' by cooking damages human DNA? On what planet?

    Natural flavoring in your Beyod product needs to be removed or the ingredients in it listed. I am in support of what you do, but label transparency is a must, or I won't purchase your product. Carmine red, often disguised as/ in natural flavoring, is made from beetles. Not saying this is the case with your product. I just have no accurate way of knowing. Thank you for creating a plant based alternative. I appreciate that you are doing this.

    I find it quite ironic that a bunch of educated nutrition experts know basically next to nothing about nutrition and the proper human diet. First of all, I would guess there is zero Trump supporters speaking or attending in the audience. Having said that, most of these people have no idea that the whole idea of eating plants in America did not come from liberals. It actually came from a bunch of right-wing puritanical Christians including Sylvester Graham, James Caleb Jackson, and one of the co-founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ellen G. White. White did not want young Christians to have strong sexual urges, so she advised plant--based nutrition. She also had visions that meat cause cancer, and her followers, including John Harvey Kellogg, and a bunch of dietitians created modern American vegetarianism, and created the American Dietetic Association in 1917, which changed it's name to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012. If Gardner and the rest of these people understood that all this vegetarian nonsense came from conservative, religious lunatics, he might change his mind about vegetarianism, but obviously he doesn't. Just had to lay some inconvenient truth on everybody...

      You probably don't know this, but Stanford already did a study comparing diets, where they compared the Ornish, ZONE, Traditional and Atkins diets for weight loss. The Atkins diet, which is a low carb near carnivore diet, kicked ass over the other three diets for weight loss. I will give you one guess who the professor who conducted the diet study was...yes, it was Chris Gardner... Don't believe me? You can watch it yourself: ua-cam.com/video/eREuZEdMAVo/v-deo.html

    This 'study' is a great example of why science can no longer be trusted and the Netflix 'documentary' a great example of a propaganda program designed to push a plant based diet. The study compared a whole food vegan diet to an unhealthy omnivorous diet. (Low fat meat and grains is NOT a healthy diet). There was no wash out period between the diets. The results focused on terrible markers of health (LDL) and glossed over the important ones (muscle mass). The conclusion completely ignored the fact that the order of the diets completely changed the results. If you want to prove a vegan diet is healthy, compare it to a carnivore diet allowing for fat adaptation and have a suitable wash out period in between.

    I was really excited to watch this series, but was disappointed. They should have stuck with the primary topic and title, "You Are What You Eat". The focus should have stayed on nutrition and health benefits. They should not have strayed off into environmental concerns and beaten upon the agricultural industry. That is a separate topic to be covered in a separate documentary. This program should have been more educational and informative about the health benefits of eating more fruits, vegetables and fiber. The idea of doing a dietary/lifestyle study on twins is fantastic. There needs to be more similar studies done on twins with stricter controls on compliance to 2 different diets. I am happy to learn that Stanford has a substantial Nutrition program and faculty.

      It’s all propaganda. You are so right about them not mentioning anything about sugar. Sugar is what is causing cholesterol levels to go through the roof. Meat is not the cause. The older we get the more cholesterol our bodies produce to protect us from infection. Cholesterol is your friend as you age. Your real enemy is sugar which clogs your arteries.

    This video was total vegan propaganda funded by a company in San Francisco. I could make a video showing how bad plants are and leave out how good they are and show how bad pesticides and soil conditions are. I can also show you what plants do to peoples health in a bad way. Careful with this show. It’s not entirely truthful. Your health depends on it. Don’t eat unhealthy to save the planet. There are other ways.

  • @Astro_Gorilla

    I was really excited to watch this. I have been reducing my meat intake gradually but recently started to feel pretty tired on my current regimen. I was hoping this would give me some more guidance on the benefits and potential concerns about veganism. Straight away the show seems to have concluded vegan is better regardless of results. Secondly they conflate vegan with plant based, they are very different things this makes the information pretty confusing. Then there is a heavy focus on processed vegan foods with meat and cheese replacements featuring heavily. These products are full of junk chemicals and should not be thought of as healthy. Finally the results of the study were always interpreted as positive for a vegan diet and yet while there were some short term benefits noted they were also happy to simply explain away the zero change in cognitive results and to blame the participants for the loss of lean muscle mass. These results were also complicated by changing too many factors at once. The exercise feels like it was designed to limit the muscle loss and failed and the second half of the diet allowed for absolute junk food - not helathy at all. While the environmental stuff sounded more rigourous you have to doubt it based on what they did with the rest of the show. Really really poor.

    • @Diss-jd2un
      @Diss-jd2un 10 місяців тому

      Reducing meat intake is the worst thing to make, don't believe what "Studies" or government tell you, I believe what my ancestors eated and lived well, strong to very old age and without diseases and pills. It is known that vegetables were choosed by people only in famines or in poor environments
