Im a Ww2 collector and enthusiast. I have different military impressions through out the years .Also I’m a member of the GI41-45 reenactment group. 2nd armored division, 41st armored infantry regiment during operation cobra.

My grandpa was with the 82ABN from D-Day until the German surrender, he didn’t much camouflage used by American soldiers, they tried it however the Germans army had camouflage and to many people were shot by friendly fire because of it. It was used a bunch in the pacific because the Japanese soldiers didn’t use it on their uniforms.

Nope 😅 it was discontinued because it was expensive to make, didn’t blend in well at all and the patterns faded very quickly in the sun

I used to collect militaria when I was younger. Of the thousands of WWII U.S. Army uniforms I've seen, I never encountered that type. I don't think I've ever even seen a color photograph of a real one or known of someone who has one in a collection. They were apparently used only very briefly and are now impossibly rare. They are said to have had a slight minty green tint to them, compared to the USMC's far more common camo which was browner in shade.

Wrong. They didn’t have gators/ leggings. Wrong jacket, they had a m42 jump jacket but if it’s Bastogne you need a m43 jumpsuit You also need helmet netting, if it is a Normandy impression you need helmet scrim but if it’s late war you just need netting. Also need arm patch and web gear. Can’t tell if it’s airborne or infantry but if it’s infantry you need new trousers. Everything above I just said was if you were a paratrooper brw

I would say If it’s airborne at the top and it doesn’t say Bastogne it says Normandy. Also Ik I have no patch on my wool shirt but that’s bc they didnt always wear them and i use this uniform for different units
@@41st_reenactor_1 trousers make it look like it’s airborne with the reinforced knees. If it was armoured you should’ve said that so your veiwers knew

Thanks for the sub! I recommend at the front, what price glory and ww2 impressions to buy your uniforms helmet boots etc. As for webbing I use originals that I find at shows
