Doing my first ever pre buy inspection on a Cessna C140.
This video shows me doing my first ever pre purchase inspection for what could be my first airplane purchase. This inspection took multiple hours, however I condensed it to what I thought were the more interesting parts of the inspection, including how to figure out how to start the engine that doesn't want to start.

Cassidy's Flight from Home. Her first day of flight training at 16 years old!
Переглядів 2,5 тис.Рік тому
Cassidy won a flight scholarship through her involvement in the Jr. Air Force ROTC program in her high school. This is the beginning of her journey to become a pilot at 17 years old.
Ah man . Mike I was expecting some Fly By Night or Headlong Flight background music for this one. :) Better luck next time!
That would be awesome. However I would get copyright strikes. I have another pre buy video coming out soon. Maybe I'll put some music in there to break the silence!
Please comment with your opinions of the ore buy
Excellent job young lady.
Ground school, instructor shared a story: they had an "exercise" where they'd put students under a hood/no instruments to see how long they could fly straight and level under their own senses. The most effective strategy was exactly this.
OMG😅
Wow… this is so amazing! You have achieved so many great things so far. Cant imagine how many more you’ll achieve throughout your life. Congratulations, stay safe, and good luck with everything you do💕🙏🏼🛩️
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it
It is fan to whatch you getting ready to fly 🎉 Lovely family❤
Thank you so much 🤗
Big fan here of Flying with Kay. Looking forward to your channel flights in the near future. Smart gal, great personality, informative and interesting!!! Just subbed 5/19/24. 71 yrs old married gent here - soloed in a Taylor Craft in my 20s!!
Thank You! I have much more content to shoot, however its been tough with my school and work schedules. Once I can get my own plane, maybe I can fly more often and film like Kay does. Thanks for your support.
8675309 - oldies cool - you need to check out: In A Gadda Da Vida by Iron Butterfly!!

Thank you!!!!
You're flying with a very well organized tower!!

Great Job Dinga!!
Smart girl !!! Keep it up !!! Good job !! ❤
Thank you, I will!
Cassidy nice job flying the plane hope the best for you God Bless.🤠
Thank you!
That go pro camera is a distraction right from the walk around, !!! …. There is a very good reason why airlines have a sterile cockpit rule
Thank you for your concern! Soloing at 55 hours, I was very confident in my flight and pre flight skills and would never fly if it was unsafe. The preflight was before I went up with my instructor who also walked around to make sure everything was good. we then went up and did 3 landings until he left the cockpit and it was just me! We also have a sterile cockpit rule but I was advised that talking to myself would help me stay focused and safe. Hitting record was the only time I was not focused on the cockpit.
go go go nice so smooth way to go
Thank you!
🎉😢😮😮
Amazing!
Thanks!
Sydney is going to be a flight instructor one day. Excellent job! Congratulations!
Working on it! Thank You
good job!!
Thank you!
Impressive all the way around. Nice job to the pilot and ATC. Congrats!
Thank You!
Two thumbs up. You are a natural. Stay with it girl. Great solo.
Thank you so much!!
amazing pilot !
Thank you
Bravo! 👏 👏 👏
Thank You!
That was the best and most entertaining solo video I've ever seen. I've been a pilot for many years and this young lady was the boss! ATC was very aware of her and said all the right things. She was so cool and I loved how she handled all the radio calls plus spoke out loud as to what was going on. What a doll. I actually did shed a tear watching this, as a father I would be so proud! Oh, and it was crazy busy too! She did awesome! Way to go girl!
Thank you for the support!
Good job with all the other traffic
Thank You
i almost cried watching this lol
Tears of joy I hope? LOL
Love to watch this video over and over again!! Congrats Family!!!
Thank you so much Norma. Please subscribe and hit the LIKE button. That would help us out
That tower controller is a BOSS. Amazing job from him in a very busy pattern. Great solo from you, congrats.
Thats at ECSU, a Part 141/61 School. They are used to having plenty of student pilots around the pattern.
I love this video! Great job!
Thank you so much!
Perfeito.
Obrigado!
Pretty good job Mamma Mia (Abba).
Gracias!!
You are amazing! Your ATC skills are just... Wow! And landings seemed very smooth. I wish you had a second gopro for front view! Please post more videos! Btw I'm not a pilot, I'm just really into aviation and flight sims recently. But maybe one day...
Thank you so much! To be honest, life has just been so busy and I have flown 4 times since august. It sucks but that’s how life works. I believe you can one day and I hope your dreams come true too!
Great job. Very confident! with a little humorous but sincere humility.
I was confident but there’s always a little nervous feeling when flying a plane by yourself at 16… I think talking a lot was a way for me to not think about it.
So... this was the FIRST solo on UA-cam I've seen some real training. She was good at the ground work and cleared traffic. What worried me was in the pattern she relied on the controller for her base turn but never once looked to her left for traffic. She never looked on base or turning final. PLEASE... the one thing they teach in military flight school is to put your head on a swivel, especially in a traffic pattern. Aside from that single potentially fatal flaw... she appeared great, professional and confident... a LOT more than I can say for so many of the solo flight posted on UA-cam. Congrats.
Thank you for all the advice. Your right I should’ve been looking to my left I was probably just hyper fixated inside since I have a g1000. The MFD showed me all traffic in the area so I was not too concerned. As for relying on ATC to call my base turn, if you are talking about the first landing, they told me to extend my base for a mile to give the stop and go traffic some space. Usually when the pattern isn’t busy, I turn base myself and let ATC know!
@@RealeFlight On one hand in instrument flying you learn to rely solely on your instruments and 'always' believe them but in clear weather in a traffic pattern your eyes should always be outside with the occasional glance at airspeed. The g1000 depends on other systems to report traffic and if they are not working no traffic will appear. Regarding your extended base that is normal to listen to the controller and it's normal to turn base and final yourself if not otherwise instructed. Regardless, before doing either you must please look left and right before initiating your turns. What concerns me most is each week now we hear about fatal GA crashes and some with experienced pilots... most are stall spin related which just emphasizes lack of attention to detail and it doesn't take half a second to become a statistic in an airplane. (I'm a 4800 hr commercial fixed/rotary pilot)... be safe.
@@mynosycatThanks!
Nicest ATC person i've heard in awhile...
They were the best especially for having 4+ student pilots in the pattern at a time
This video is great for one thing that might surprise you: It is free of annoying music! I love music, but NOT when it ruins a great video! I forget about the real star (the pilot) and lose focus.
Thank you for Watching!
Very, very cool, Cassidy! Congrats!
Thank you so much
I remember when I realized I was about to make my first solo. I was just going to add full power for take off. My instructor said wait a minute, opened his door and got out. He said you're ready, do three take offs and landings, closed the door and walked away.
I love when instructors do that. I didn’t get that because my course was so accelerated but I loved my flight anyway
I watched you a few times and I think you are so funny and the best student pilot congratulations be safe😊
Thank you so much I appreciate it. Hopefully I can make some more videos soon!
I've seen a lot of these 1st flights; this one inspires, by far, the most admiration and confidence. Nice work Cassidy and Dad.
Thank you I definitely showed more confidence than I was feeling.
I am sorry I have not posted recently! I have not been on many flights since I went back home which was around August. Hopefully I will have more content soon and can post another video. Thank you for your patience :)
U got any advice for me I’m going to solo in about 2 weeks
As long as you are confident in yourself, you will be just fine. I would say, if you have even one slight hint of fear that something g bad could happen, don’t fly. I was in a time sensitive program so I was saying to myself “I just need to get it over with” but please be cautious and be humble at all times!

Not sure what that is for but thank you for watching!
How incredible!!!!! You're a Rockstar kid!!!!
Thank you so much I ended up getting my PPL a month later!
Congratulations on your first solo. Things are a little more relaxed in the US than the UK I think. Personally I would prefer to see less making a UT video and more being a Pilot In Command.A silent video would be more professional but less engaging for the viewers.
Thank you for watching! To be honest, I didn’t solo until 55 hours so I was very confident in my flying skills. Even if I were not to record, I would’ve been talking to myself the whole time since it’s so silent the first solo flight. I knew my limits and so did my instructor and that is why I felt very comfortable recording :)
Watching this from the uk, soooo proud of you for doing this!!! You made it look sooo easy!! hope you had a good subway after lol!!!
They barely toasted my subway 😢
Well done. Congrats and greetings from Norway.
Thank you so much I appreciate it!
