Not a single person on that plane that wouldn't' have had a problem waiting 30 mins until the weather cleared and there is no frikken reason ship captains sail through hurricanes. Just dumb.

I went to a fear of flying course many years ago 'run by Qantas and learnt a lot about planes flying through the turbulences one thing that assures me the pilots want to be alive as much as you are so they wouldn't put anybody at risk unless if its too dangerous to fly. Turbulences are not nice but it will pass.

I wish I wasn't afraid of flying because I just find it amazing. But I'm terrified. My respect and admiration for the pilots.

I love the southwest pilots 🤣 when I landed at midway one of the pilots gave us a full concert singing to the gate.

I've taken off of this runway before. My grandparents and my aunts and uncles live(d) in Albany. Had a couple of scary landings there, but I love the airport!

This turbulence is moderate at best and trust me they were not flying directly into a cell they were actually navigating the best course around them.

I remembered one time flying southwest a stewardess got on the overcome and started singing. I thought we were going to crash for sure. Turns out they just have weird employees!😬

If I am not mistaken, the flashes at 2:45 and 2:46 are flashes because of power lines failing from the high winds.

Had a similar experience on a flight from Atlanta to St. Louis. No rain but turbulence was just as bad the entire flight. Pilot even climbed to just over 40,000. It was no better so went back down to 36,000 and toughed it out

No big deal, just a routine flight

My mom told me a story. When I was almost 2 I was on a flight that hit turbulence so bad we had to make a emergency landing in Denver. Apparently I was loving every minute of it everyone else was white knuckling or getting sick I was laughing having the time of my life. When it was over I yelled out I want to ride the roller coaster again. Now turbulence for the most part doesn't bother me I actually like the turbulence that feels like you're on a dirt road, it's relaxing and helps me sleep. The only time I got worried was when I was on a 50 plus year old DC 9.

I was flying across the Rockies once when the Captain came over the PA and said "flight attendants, take your seats immediately." There was no turbulence and about 5 mins later felt like the plane fell out of the sky. Scariest 5 sec of my life.

looks like a fun ride

The plane I was on had to brake and retry the takeoff 3 times because the door sensor was showing that it was not closed. It was closed, but it was so cold outside that there was a small ring of ice around the door, and it was bothering the sensor. This was in Alaska and my neck hurt that whole day from stopping so suddenly over and over.
