Ninetails is a Yokai. 's a folklore creature from japan. They're considered tricksters, very powerful. Some are evil, some are good. Lots of folklore about 'em. They're called Kitsune, usually, & 's obviously what Ninetails & Zoroark are based offa.

So I actually went on a pokedoll authenticity spree a while ago (mostly to identify my bootleg lapras pokedoll), and one of the key points that was pointed out to me (besides wonky stitching) is that the tags have a pokeball that isn't fully dark/filled in at the top half, or the print on it is lighter in general. Bootleggers are very good at imitating tags on the pokedoll line especially, however I believe the polywag is a bootleg due to the tag print! Same as my lapras. It still looks rather cute though!

Some notes about the tags: -The tag on the Electrode says "Plushie: Voltorb". -The tag on the Alolan Exeggutor says "Lolan Exeggutor", missing the a/ア at the beginning. Also all of the tags that use this style seem to say "Center Monster" in the upper left corner instead of "Pokémon Center". -The tag on the Cubone says "Harahara" (はラはラ), which seems to be a misspelling of either Cubone's or Marowak's Japanese name (Karakara/カラカラ and Garagara/ガラガラ, respectively). It also uses a mix of hiragana (ha/は) and katakana (ra/ラ), which you're generally not supposed to do in Japanese. So in English it'd basically be like... "KuBoNe" or something.

I think it would have been super funny to have seen Magneton, because id like to imagine they just give you 3 magnemites and a thing of super glue to do it yourself lol

The poliwag is definitely a bootleg, but the funny thing is that it actually looks better than the official plush 😂 those tags are the old tags for pokedolls. They had changed their tags in between 2016-2018 from those tags to square tags with either the graphic on it for the English, the background was black with checkerboard. Or a brown tag with just the pokedolls logo for Japan! The real one looks cheaper than the bootleg 😭 Edit: on the shiny electrode is the tag the use for the Japanese pokedolls but its font is too small! But that's the tag for the authentic ones now

VERY disappointed to not see a Hitmonlee. I can absolutely see the lad with his big ol’ feet and long noodle legs that would be super fun to just fling around, letting his kickers knock over everything in sight. Like, his body being comically small and his feet are as big as his torso. It’s just such a beautiful mental image, I want him to exist somewhere out in the universe so badly…
