Fix your Frozen Primo Water Dispenser in 15 Minutes with a $2 part
This is the second unit I've had where I had a Primo water dispenser that stopped dispensing water due to the water freezing in the reservoir. Rather than get another new "discounted" unit, I finally decided to try fixing it. And it was EASY!

The replacement part:
DROK 10K Temperature Sensor Probe, 5pcs 1 Meter Waterproof Temp Sensor Probe, Stainless Steel 3950 NTC Temp Sensor Probe, Digital Temperature Transmitter Extension Cable (1-Meter/3.28ft)

Hole in the Door

The half orc in the party was bit by a werewolf. Later that night he got drunk in a tavern and passed out on a table. Then in the middle of the night he awoke, transformed as a werewolf and busted out through the doors into the snow. Drawing on Procreate.
Lego Millennium Falcon UCS 75192 Build

At 7,541 pieces, it's the biggest set Lego has ever released! I was lucky enough to get my hands on a set, and decided to build it over my holiday break. It took me about 21 hours to put together. Here's an overhead timelapse of the build process. I wish I had a bigger table and/or better camera rigging setup to accommodate the sheer size of this model. Please watch until the end. You'll see my...

So I received this Lego 24 in 1 set for free (with a qualifying purchase) and thought it’d be fun to do a series of builds for each day leading up to Christmas. Sort of like a variation to their advent calendars. Enjoy!
Speed Build - Lego Ninjago City

Here's my first video of the building of the Lego Ninjago City Set. It took me about 15 episodes (the entire first season of The Punisher, and 2 episodes of Godless) to finish this. So about 13 hours. This set is AWESOME, and the details are amazing. There's even an awning made entirely of crowbars. In the next video I'll be working on, I'll try to show the building of the entire stack of level...
Utah Trip - Day 1 Vegas Stop

Nothing like a pitstop in Vegas during the day. It was actually my first time being there since I turned 21. Let's just say it wasn't everything I was hoping it to be. Not really my scene. Music: "Lovely Las Vegas" by Matt Goss

Interesting and informative "video" of you talking about the cooler, but it lacks the actual video of you working with it. STILL A GREAT VIDEO. You have taught us (me) about my cooler, thanks.
Hey! You should have given me some credit! You ripped off my fix. But glad it worked for you.
I gave you a shout out in the description! I didn’t have the names on the top of my head when making the video. But yeah, thanks to your video and another how to article, it gave me a head start, but i wanted to make some modifications, since both mentioned cutting into the foam and splicing wires, which seem to work, but I didn’t like the idea of. The fact that any of us have to resort to fixing these machines, though, is the real issue.
@ lol…. I know. And we agree. Primo is incredible - they should have issued an email to all owners and offered to provide the new sensor free of charge. Instead? They tell you to buy a new water dispenser. Great video and let’s keep fixing them. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you for this detailed tutorial. This was a lot of work but it took care of the problem. I kept going back and forth to listen to your instructions and finally, I got it. My machine is purring again and my dad thinks I'm a show off. I told him I learned from you, another girl. Woo-hoo! Thank you luv. 💜💜💜
That’s awesome! You SHOULD show off. I was pretty proud to have figured it out myself, too and had to tell my mom I did it! Haha.
@@sillysyd You go girl. We can figure out lots of things on our own and with the help of UA-cam, and you. Happy Thanks giving to you and yours. 🤗
Same thing happened to my unit today, I’m trying to defrost the ice first and see if it happens again before buying the part suggested.
I’m going to be trying this fix with the same exact dispenser. Thanks so much for the detailed video! I’m not into splicing cables either, and this video made me feel like I could actually fix this.
Good luck! It’s not so bad once you get in there!
@@sillysyd I ended up having to file down the notches on the new one and using it. Couldn't get the wires out of the blue connector. But it seems to be working!
@@nrpy44that was actually my first ideas but could just imagine cutting myself if I used a blade to cut them off. Or filing like furious for a while til it was flush. So I tried removing the wire clips first since I thought it’d be faster and safer. But it does sort of require the right tool and patience to get them out right. I wish I had thought to add that process to the video!
I actually used the connector that came with the new probe, what I did was remove the two ridges on top of the connector and it fits.
I thought about doing that, too, but thought I'd have a harder time either shaving or filing the ridges off vs unclipping the wires. I also didn't want to cut myself in case a blade slipped while trying to shave the ridges off.
Could you provide the tool you used to remove the wire from white cap and blue cap? Thanks
I think I used the tip of an Xacto blade to unclip the ends of the wires from the caps. A sewing needle or pushpin might work, too. Or a very tiny flat head screwdriver possibly. Anything that can help lift the clips without damaging them.
@sillysyd that's the part I'm having trouble with is taking them put of the clips. I am scared to break the clips.
@@timetoexploretheworld I think as long as you don't try to REALLY pry the clip, you'll be fine. I think it helped to kind of push the wire up from underneath while trying to unclip. And then once unclipped, you have to kind of tuck everything through the holes of the cap to get them out.
Yeah I don’t think the man will be able to find the hole🤣🤣🤣
I bought a wall socket timer. I set it to turn on during daytime hours. I set it on a repeating cycle for one hour ON, two hours OFF. This works great. Give me a thump up if you like this ideal !!!
How is the part called?
It's listed in the description. You can find an Amazon link there, too.
Good job, now how long will this $2 part last? This company knew or now know this part is defected.
It hasn't failed yet! If it makes it more than a year, I'd consider it a scam on Primo's part.
Hi! I followed this but now the green light above the snowflake continuously flashes and the pump suddenly stopped working after changing the sensor 😭 Anyone else experience this?
Just a guess, but it might not be communicating correctly to the board (where the blue cable connect and where the lights are installed). I'd make sure that the blue cable (the sensor cable) is connected to the board nicely, as well as the wires are seated into the socket correctly, too (in case you had to stick the wires from the new sensor into the socket from the old sensor - you'd need to make sure you keep the metal caps that clip into the socket, too). Hopefully that makes sense, helps, and fixes your issue!
Thanks for replying! I’m not sure what this: “in case you had to stick the wires from the new sensor into the socket from the old sensor - you'd need to make sure you keep the metal caps that clip into the socket, too” is referring to... I removed the wires with the 2 silver ends from the new wire and inserted them into the blue cap. Now I’m confused haha
@@haleybreann1 see at 7:25 of this video. The wires should have these clips on it still before putting it back into the blue plastic piece that gets inserted into the blue socket of the circuit board. Without the clips, bare wires might not sit and connect well.
Oh yes, the new wires had the clips still intact. I misunderstood the comment but yes, I did that. Thanks for taking the time to respond
Good job
