The truth is if this film wasn't from a book it wouldn't be as much underrated as it is
This theme is so majestic! I really enjoyed the movie plus the world was so beautiful, full of colors and charm. The villain was really scary and I don’t know why but he gives me Orochimaru’s vibe 😂.
My favourite film of all ❤
“Only to man is given the privilege to know that we must die” As someone who still anguishes at night over my own mortality, this phrase helped ever since
My fav OST from the movie I believe……..need to check on the rest though
What is the name of the wind instrument? That is epic!
I want to see an adaptation of Atuan's tombs, the story where Tenar and Ged meets each other by Ghiblis !!!
Does anyone know the instrument in the beginning?
@OnafetsEnovap thanks, it did sound like that instrument.
So underrated i liked it more than spirited away
I don't care for this movie in the slightest and find a lot of its visuals derivative of Miyazaki Sr.'s work...but damn if this score doesn't hit like the rest of the Ghibli lineup.
This movie's music is so beautiful and emotional.
The music are spiritual in some sense
bu müziği dinlerken ali ural'ın "atları çatlatan haber" öyküsünü okuyordum. birbiriyle öyle uyumluydular ki. ..."vaktinde yerine ulaşmadığında hamilini kül edecek satırlar, kırbaç olup atın gövdesini yaktığında, geride bir toz bulutu bıraktı. dokuz günü vardı ve ancak dokuz atı çatlatarak ulaşabilirdi menziline. ...artık uğrunda ölünecek haberler yok. atları çatlatan, güvercinleri öldüren haberler tarihin mahzenlerinde kaldı..."
I like this music.
Im gonna watch that shih yt is teasing me
0:01 Arren: 🥺"Therru... What *is* the most important thing in the world?" Therru: 😢"...You know life is what's most important." Arren: 😔"We're all going to die someday, so nothing we do now really matters. Why should we fight to preserve life when we know it's just going to end someday?" Therru: 😠"No! Life is precious because we know we're going to die someday! Death is not what you fear most Arren; you're afraid of being alive. You say you want to live forever, then you say nothing matters. But you're afraid to live; you're afraid to live to live only life you have!" Arren: 😢"Therru..." Therru: 🤨"You think your life belongs *to you?* Tenar gave me my life, and that's why I must live, so that I can give life to someone else." 👫 Therru: 🤗"Lebannen..." Arren: 😯 *gasp* Therru: 🤗"That is the only way we can live forever." Arren: 🤔"... Therru, how do you know my true name?" Therru: 😊"You told me yourself. Now I shall tell you mine; my true name is Tehannu. Tehannu." Arren: 😊"Tehannu." 🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉
Don’t know what to say, just amazing. This soundtrack will always remember me the 2020 summer
1:09 I don't know why but for a moment I got that song melody for Josh Groban's Remember Me from Troy (2004) there.
this feels like i'm in an another place, another world also i'm home
bambaşka bir diyardaymışım, ve evimdeymişim gibi hissettiriyor
0:55 this part touches my heart
I guess everyone are deep diver of their emotion Aspiring to have even a greater expedition in their indepth emotional ocean.. Good luck..btw
Definitely an underrated Ghibli film and far from their worst
I wouldn't say this movie's their worst either. But it definitely feels a bit cluttered, due to Goro Miyazaki taking several stories from the Earthsea series and putting it into one. It's kinda like the Ghibli equivalent of say The Last Airbender, Eragon, Percy Jackson, The Dark Tower, or Mortal Instruments. However, despite that, I don't mind it so much, as I've never read the books of Earthsea.
@@sebastianemond5313 i havent read the books as well i just learned they were a book but i like the story as it shows loneliness fear consuming heart, what really matters to live a beautiful life with that being company, faith, purpose, courage and help-helping.I dont like to compare never liked never will i like this movie and thats it :)
By far
It’s taken me years to truly sit down and watch this entire movie and it actually blew me away.
Absolutly
1:08 Lawren-... Arren of Arabia

Not my favourite ghibli film but probably favourite soundtrack (after spirited away)
The music is beautiful for sure :)
Therru... digo ah eso xd
A bird?!
1:07 sounds like "remember me - josh groban" from the movie troy :D
Oh I thought the same.
Best Moment in this video ❤ wooow this is.....
Not the best ghibli movie but one of my favourite soundtracks to any movie ever When they bust out the pipes tho god damn
I feel that.
*CHILLS* at 1:09
❤❤❤I was searching for this commmend
@@barbelmanske9469 im sure its the mark that gets to everyone that has heard it.
Now listen to me, Arren: No man nor any living thing in this world preserves their life forever. But only to men is it given to know that we must die, and that is a precious gift. This life that is both our torment and our treasure was never meant to endure for eternity. Life is a wave on the sea. Would you force the sea to grow still to save one wave? To save yourself? - Sparrowhawk - Still my favorite Ghibli film!!! ❤️💕😊
Chills
When _this_ gem is arguably your studio's worst movie, you know you've done some really great work.
I never agreed with that sentiment, honestly. I think it's better than some Ghibli films, for example Totoro. It's my personal opinion though
PrototypeOne only the story sucks, everything else (art, soundtrack especially) were superbly done
It was a flawed movie for sure, but I always enjoyed it. It has a special place in my heart and the animation, music, and atmosphere it creates are simply beautiful. Hearing this theme gives me chills, and makes me feel nostalgic, wistful, and adventurous all at once. I only wish I'd been able to see more of the characters' development and get to know them more... They didn't feel complete by the end of the movie.
@@dreamingblue3939 Definitely, it surely lacks the subtletly of LeGuin's original novel, but it's so beautifully done, so poetic. It takes time to look at the environment, at the beautiful landscapes, and to give space to the music.
@@Vlessgorian I just rewatched it last night with my sister and we agreed that though the characters could have been better, it was a beautiful movie.
Carlos Nuñez, hero of the mankind
I mostly connect to my emotions through music. This brings me to a very special place within me, a peaceful, warm place. And yet I'm crying.
You don't know how well that describes me
Merci gars ! ☺️👍
Byzantine Empire
This is my favorite Studio Ghibli film, it has been disliked by so many people. It’s a rare gem!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Japanese voices with that movie sound perfect
Ahhh... The memories of watching this
RIP Ursula K. Le Guin the original creator of this marvelous movie!!
She wrote the book. Didn’t have anything to do with the movie
Feels like a song from Prince of Persia 2008 the game :D:D:D
